This just keeps getting muggled, now some of it;s cover been removed, trees trimmed back, so now archiving it, as have got another cache nearby and in place, (Geocaching for Dummies) I was actually going to submit it yesterday, when I did my Guards throw porker off train, but time was not on my side,
Cache is missing, and new spot I had lined up, is getting serious maintenance, as gear / equipment is already there for workman,
Another DNF here, but didn’t really have a thorough look as there was so much rubbish laying around.
NZ MEGA 2020 (in 2022) road trip - Day 7
Having had a fantastic day on Browns Island on Sunday, another member of Team Done by 1 (RustyNZ) and I arranged to go looking for the Crayola 64 series. Having completed it by mid-afternoon, we decided that neither of us fancied battling peak hour traffic so would do some more caching around this area. It's been about 10 years since I was last here in Waiuku, and this is my first visit here as a geocacher.
We were now caching after dark and having to rely on using our phone torches for searching.
This actually attracted the attention of the homeowner, who asked us if we were "looking for that thing". So we admitted that we were, and was told that it was on the other side of the tree we had been examining. However, after a pretty thorough search all around GZ for at least 15 minutes, we just had to give up and leave empty handed.

Thinking we would be ok to search, as it is getting dark, not dark enough for walking, just for searching.
Well we searched, combined with the previous DNF, wonder if it has gone a wandering, maybe not ready to face 2021 after all

Kittycat432 didn't want to spend too much time here, and we weren't having too much luck at locating it either. Hopefully, better luck next time.
Covid-19 level 4 Lock down, caching is NOT permitted In Level 3 or 4, "Stay at Home"
Not really a DNF as we didn't have a good look due to a couple of muggle children playing on the other side of the fence. We felt a bit dodgy so decided to try another time although having now read previous logs we wonder if it is the children who are aware of the cache.
We also disturbed a lovely cat who was sitting against the fence under the cover of the tree. It looks like this is a regular spot for them as there is a cat sized indentation in the soil.
We'll be back

A bit of hunting around to find this one as we were looking at GL and it was not quite there. got it in the end undisturbed by any locals
out with agazo and alunb today, signed log as ana, someone wasn't happy that we were here, we were happy because we got another find, quickly replaced and we left, hope that person leaves the cache, tftc
I got spotted through the fence by the locals, so hope the cache remains ok here, TFTC
Proud to be first to locate in the new placement really good spot and was good hunting cant wait for more
Very glad to have found this one in great shape
Cheekysman and I on our walk again crept over for another quick search and some young boys popped out from the place of which I was searching asking what we were looking for. Then the parents from the neighboring property came over to ask us too. We explained the game and they were amazed and happy for it to continue. Also one of the young boys apologized as he says he accidentally broke the last one from pervious spot and he took it home to tell parents who unaware put it in rubbish bin. I thanked the boy for owning up and apologizing and said that its ok it has been replaced now but please try not to break this one just leave it be. All happy again and so glad to have found this wonderful cache thankyou very much C.O

Sorry, I forgot to remove the old hint, when updating co ordinates, There is no cabbage tree, no need to bush bash to fence line, can be accessed from edge of grassed area.
This is a public walkway, seems there might be a grumpy neighbour, stealth maybe required.

Cheekysman and I have just been to the new co-ordinates and had a look to find the new cache
No cabbage tree around and then while searching we were told by the owner of property whose fence we were against there's nothing there to find he asked us to leave and asked us to inform everybody else stay away and remove the hidden item if it is there immediately.

This cache has been muggled unfortunately
Cheekysman and I found where it should of been but cache container has been broken off and either removed or lost.

Due to someone destroying this by ripping it off, as was not removed as should have been as part still hanging on hook?, and now it is missing, a replacement has been moved to a new location, so hopefully will not endure same treatment if it was indeed a muggle,

I checked on this today after last log, this was not put back as it should be, it was in plain sight left dangling by line attachment to stop it being removed from area? & not put back on green wire hook which had been moved way up tree in plain sight from walkway 5 metres away!, Please hang it back up as found, on green hook.
I had nice afternoon in Waiuku today. My caching stroll was put on hold two times because of rain showers. But still enjoyed it so much as it was summer rain!
Thanks for new placements in here!
Last find for me in the area! Nice and easy. As per hint.
All ok.

I drove over today to clean out several new caches in Waiuku. This cache was quite obvious, so hid it a little bit better. TFTC.
On a girls roadtrip to Waiuku with Supernannny, Nette1234 and Merlot58. On our approach to gz we saw a man walking a large ginger cat along the path. The cat (Marco) was very friendly and took a liking to our group of ladies. We stopped to chat to the owner about geocaching, as Marco was heading into the shade of the trees within metres of gz. Quick find here of this brightly coloured cache.
Out caching with the Geo Ladies....Bumped into a guy walking his cat Marko !
Funny thing was the cat showed us where the cache was.. !
Had a nice chat with his owner.

I headed to Waiuku with Supernanny, Nette1234 and Jag50 for a girls' day out caching. We bumped into a local walking his cat... yes cat! Marco was a cute and very social ginger boy and his brother Polo was at home lazing around apparently! Anyway Marco wandered over and sat right next to the cache so we had to explain to the muggle what we were doing. Once the cache was signed and returned, Marco decided it was also time to move on.
I had seen this bunch of caches come out over the last week by this C.O. (Have you moved to Waiuku?). I never did anything about gaining an {FTF} on any of them since I thought Agazo, or HeMaLuDy or others closer might well be all over them.
But then I planned yesterday to head down to Whiritoa today on the Coromandel peninsula to visit rustynz and Rebel98 who are staying there with some muggle friends. So late last night about 11pm-12, I had a quick look to see if any of these recent caches hadn't been found.... whaddayaknow... 2 were still up for grabs, this one and 'Victoria Avenue...'. So these were quickly installed on my watchlist and off to bed I went.
I came from Victoria Avenue cache, also by this C.O. more or less just across the road. I initially thought the cache was on the side of the footpath until my phone told me otherwise and I went across the grass to GZ. I was here for 10 mins, I actually searched 'that' cabbage tree but how on earth did I miss that cache?? So I went to another likely specimen, then I could see that there were other trees cabbage looking but nothing at knee height! Derrrh.... went back to the first tree I looked at and opened my eyes this time....lol. There was the rather obvious cache, signed in and all is good again in Waiuku!! thanks flossy for the cache.
