Macfam41 found it while passing through our way from Stratford to New to visit some friends. Just as well, the container was tethered as it was heading into the river, but I caught it in time. Nice hide TFTC
Heading to New Plymouth to do geocache maintenance on the way and once there. Clever hide. Would've given another FP but I've run out.TFTC cuzincori
Argh this one is home to a big spider but thanks for the find, didn't know about this area being here
I wonder who gets the job of numbering all of New Zealand's bridges? It doesn't happen back in Oz. Once I found the right level the cache was quickly in hand and signed. Thanks cuzincori.
Day 15: Through the Forgotten WorldTodays journey was a challenging one, leading us through the Forgotten World Highway through to Stratford and onwards to the Taranaki Region. We were sidetracked by the closure of the Tarangakau Gorge for most of the day, so we detoured through some back country roads in the rain. Truly an adventure, and not without a few caches despite the desolation of the landscape around here. Thanks for all the caches that made this adventure even more interesting. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache:Very nicely constructed cache here, I really approve the foresight(?) of securing the cache because of the risk of the cover opening and the cache running into the water. Thanks for a nice one here, TFTC!
Walked down to the Sunday market and thought I'd grab since I was walking right past. Tftc!
Over from Adelaide Australia as an expat kiwi, catching up with friends and revisiting areas Ive lived in before..and of course picking up the odd cache along the wayA quick find, stamp and return here todayGets a favourite point from me for the hide TFTC
LNM1961 did what BFG did and found the cache. A pity the walkway is closed as I would like to walk beside the stream amongst the bush.
Out and about with LNM1961 revisiting Taranaki and collecting caches.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache cuzincori.

19 August 2023 11:33 TFTC cuzincori for placing this cache, number 12899 for me. I spotted where it was likely to be, BFG went and retrieved it.
After eliminating the easier options I leaped the gate which had been screwed shut and headed down. Quick find of the nicely constructed hide, thanks cuzincori!
#12,959. I have been at a conference in New Plymouth over the weekend and it was time to head back home today. The plan was to stop along the way and pick up some caches if they were along our main route. Spent sometime checking the wrong areas. I widened the search and saw something of interest. The hiding spot was doubly special as it held not only a cache but a freaking great big spider that ran across my fingers and up onto the post! Signed the logsheet and gingerly returned the cache as found. Thanks cuzincori for hiding the cache along this small walkway.
road blocked so it was round the roads to other side.
able to just park in middle of road today.
first look and no cache.
second look and cache found.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)…
Auckland Anniversary: The Taranaki weather had been particularly good to us this weekend, considering the mayhem it had sparked further up the country. It felt almost anticlimactic to be going home today, but work beckons…
We were forced to navigate around road works and found a convenient carpark formed by the temporary road closure…This was a tricky hide, helped along by our inability to apply the hint. A closer inspection was needed to locate this very good hide. Thanks cuzincori. TFTC.

Road closed so was forced to park outside the street and walk to it. Spent a little too long looking up higher than should have, once I continued down the track the cache was quickly located. TFTC

Happy new year! A nice little spot. After waiting for some muggles to move on I made a relatively quick find. Upon doing so I thought I was about to lose it down the bank... but no... thank goodness! So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its place all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so.TFTC
Having had a bit of a slow start to the holiday period, I finally got on the road and out of town (Wellington) and made it to New Plymouth for a few days. The plan today was to collect a number of specific caches in the area. It was a better day than yesterday in terms of finds vs not, with only one DNF, and it was another glorious day of sunshine, easy driving and wonderful bush walks.
This was one of the caches I was able to find, exactly as described. All good here, excellent hide.
Thanks to the CO for placing this geocache and bringing me here.
I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

What a crazy adventure we’ve been on! Thanks a timón to my adventure buddy smiley568
School holidays so time for a tiki tour to visit friends in Taranaki. Driving through Inglewood collecting some caches. This looked like a great walkway but unfortunately didn’t have the time to explore further. Didn’t take long to have the cache in hand. Well done on a nicely constructed cache. Log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
I used the hint as co-ords posted were on the road - 7 m out for me. Nice cache.
Another quick find on my to New Plymouth for a ten pin blowing tournament. Thanks cuzincori for the cache.
Good find with woolwood9 on the way to Inglewood.
*Thanks for the reason to stop for the cache.*

Good effort on the hide and thanks for showing the walkway.

Out for a Easter Monday drive. Stopping off to grab c few caches here and there. A quick stop and easy find. TFTC
Found the cache, and next minute I thought it was going to roll down the bank into the river, thank goodness for the attachment, this gets a fav point from me, tftc cuzincori
All quiet at this spot so stopped and after a short search spotted the connection. Thanks cuzincori for the handy placement.
Road trip today, so decided to do a cache in each town to break the trip. Nice find here. Loving recording the date - it reads the same way backwards, forwards and upside down (in computer figures) 22022022
Cache is all good. TFTC

Found and logged and then walked off without the gps. Halfway over the road I realised and dashed back
Out to get a cache for the end of the year and lost my pen so I headed to the nearest supermarket for a replacement. Since I was in Inglewood it only seemed right to collect a cache or two.
No trouble spotting this one without the hint. Cheers.

We followed the GPS to GZ and once at the right level quickly spotted the hiding spot, largely because of the nylon protruding. When returning the cache, I tried to hide it better but it proved to be pretty difficult to hide it all.
Thanks for setting this up

On a road trip today with Mrs Rattll started off in the dark so would reach our first cache of the day as daylight hit. No muggles here today nice find log signed and cache placed back where found. TFTC
It was getting on dusk when Mum said a couple of swear words as she remembered it was a dot day for me so she told me to open the map and choose any one in Inglewood that I hadn’t found yet. I chose this one. Navigated myself in and spotted something amiss right away. Was warned what might happen but luckily it didn’t and I had the log signed and replaced quickly. TFTC cuzincori
This is quite a well hidden little entrance to the track and with careful negotiation of the rather wet slippery track we soon had the cache in hand and it was signed and replaced. While staying in new Plymouth for a few days with M in Law we came out here for an excursion and of course a few of the newer geo caches in the area . . Thank you for this new cache .
A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching.
On a weekend trip to Taranaki with some of Team BOP. Always lots of fun on these trips targeting cache trails, solved puzzles and high favourites. Thanks to all the cache owners TFTC
Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

Trying to have an easy day, spotted this one so made the short drive to gz. Went thru the gate and followed the arrow.
Lovely little stream, but had to use the hint, held on tight and soon had the cache.
Like what you have created here, a unexpected fun find. Thanks

Oh dear...thought the cache was going to be gone forever! A lovely little cool spot on a hot day. Thanks for the placement
Well it's been awhile since I have out a favorite point in Taranaki bit this is totally worth one. A friend had told me of her journey to get this and thank goodness it wasn't me because I probably would have left it there! Well concealed and very clever, quickly found which is great because I would have been devastated to leave my house in Stratford, drive here and not find it, but this allowed me to fill in another dot day on my mission to complete that challenge this year. 35 days to go
Out and about with my lovely lady. Nice easy find. Cool hiding place. Well done. TFTC
As others have mentioned our GPSr didn’t want to play the game. After wandering up and down a little we soon located it. What an ingenious camo - I like it a lot!
Left a trackable for the next cacher.
TFTC cuzincori!

gps had me goin back and forth across the road so turned it off and followed my instincts soon found the cache an signed.
this one had me an grandad walking back and forth across the road cause grandads gps was playing up but we did find the geocache in the end.
Up from Palmy for the Colgate games filling in time till our next event. What a cool hide! Got Miss 8 to make the discovery. Lucky for the attachment. Good thinking!!! Gets a FP! TFTC
Nice quick find, Was rather worried when it dropped out then realised what the fishing line was for. A good catch or should I say cache. Thank you.
Now that I’ve finished my ‘dot days’ I can now chase {FTF} again. Never knew this little track was here so was overjoyed at the thought of searching under cover in my local town, found the nicely constructed hidey hole and that’s when it all turned pear shaped! Opened up the door and container instantly fell out and rolled all the way down the bank onto the sand...so here I am inwardly screaming to myself how the hell am I going to retrieve that!?!? My kids are away so it’s not like I can send one of them down..A message to the CO did run through my mind but I though NO it’s up to me....I scaled down the steep bank on my butt with virtually nothing to hold on to, now I’m covered in dirt...pick cache up, throw it up, rolls back down, throw it further up next to my pen, phone, shoes, sunglasses and the kitchen sink and it stays thankfully then I see a much easier way to get back up which I should of looked at before descending..doh..but I still managed to trip up the steps on the way up, land on my knees and scrapped my hands....I think that’s what you get when you jump out of bed still bleary eyed without showering and brushing your teeth! Which I’m about to do now as I’m filthy! FP for the early morning adventure and new cache in town. (I suggest tying off cache so no one else has to go through the terror I did this morning lol)
My goodness, that cache rolled fast! There it lay on the sand way below, sniggering at us... Sussed out non - life-threatening approach ( one of us takes time to assess risk ), and sent partner down track and along river bank. No feet wet or other damage done, except small disappointment at being 2nd TF. Great to have more caches in Inglewood. Retrieved on way from NP to PNth. TFTC
