#12,961. I have been at a conference in New Plymouth over the weekend and it was time to head back home today. The plan was to stop along the way and pick up some caches if they were along our main route. We parked and headed over to the sign. Took me a few moments to realise the cache was right in front of us. Have done these types before so should have been more alert. Searched for the provided tools but they were not obvious. So improvised with what we had on site and in my bag. A slippery customer but eventually we had it in hand. Logsheet was soaked and bag ripped so replaced both. Signed the new logsheet and returned the cache as found. Thanks cuzincori for hiding the cache here and a favourite for the cleverly constructed cache.

No tools found but still managed to get it out after thinking a little outside of the box. Tftc

28-Feb-23
Definitely got my brain thinking.

Log was soaked.

11-Feb-23
There was only 1 tool inserted already, we had a similar tool in our caching bag so were able to retrieve the cache. TFTC and a FP

Quite a busy little place, with cars coming and going steadily. A father and son stopped a bit ahead of us and swapped drivers, probably for the boy to get a bit more driving experience. Nobody was paying us much attention. Cleverly constructed cache soon located and log signed, so we were off on our way again. TFTC

This was the first cache in the drive and I noticed something odd as I pulled up that turned out to be the cache.
The tools required weren't present so I managed to find some substitutes to make the successful find.
I did find one of the tools when I put the cache back though so hung that from the hide.
T F T C cuzincori.

I wanted to break up the drive today so picked a couple of caches along the way - three plus an Adventure Lab stage to finish that Adventure Lab Cache off.

04-Nov-22
Need new "Tools" unfortunately...

24-Sep-22
For some reason my device didn't log it yesterday. So I will try again.
Seen something similar in Auckland Wink
I've found this cache during my second day of the Queen memorial weekend in Taranaki.

School holidays so time for a tiki tour to visit friends in Taranaki. Driving through Inglewood collecting some caches. This was a fun cache to extract. The dimensions made it tricky at one point but got there in the end. Thanks you.

Loved the creativity that has been put into this one. A nice welcome to Inglewood! Found the required items and soon had the cache in hand. The log book requires a bit of maintenance... but managed to find a spot to sign. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this geocache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. This one gets a favourite point from me. TFTC

On the way to New Plymouth and it's been over a week since my last find do I was keen to get a few more. It all starts with one so one it is.

No problem locating the cache but the log sheet was somewhat damp once I had it open.

Cheers. Thanks for the placement.

Good fun doing this cache ! A bit more exposed to general ridicule while retrieving it than a similar hide on the East Coast, which allowed me to struggle in the bush. Luckily the only passers-by were speeding along. TFTC cuzncori.

This was so cool! I just wish I wasn't doing it in the pouring rain haha. When I got the log to my car it was very wet I could barely make my mark on it. The big black sharpie blur was me haha. I put in a magnet.
I was born here and lived here from 1994-2006 Smile Very cool to cache around familiar things!

Nice hide. Not too much trouble. Just need patience. Log a bit damp.

Was in New Plymouth for work and was making my way South slowly on my way back though Inglewood I decided that I might as well give this cache a go. Having spotted this cache quite some time back, I tried to attempt it a couple off months earlier, but was foiled as there was road works around GZ and there was nowhere safe to park, so I decided that I would leave it till another time as i knew that I was going to visit this area still quite regularly.

Making my way South today, I was coming into Inglewood and saw that the area was free from muggles, so I decided that it was a great opportunity to give this cache a go. Decided that I would drive pass GZ and do a U turn and then was able to get a safe parking spot withing a few metres off GZ.

As I was making my way towards GZ, I decided to read the cache description and soon realised that it was a little bit different and arriving at GZ, I soon realised why. Now how to do this, well I soon spotted the extra aids and it really didnt take long before I soon worked out what was required to retrieve the cache out off it hiding spot.

Managed to retrieve the cache and soon had the logbook in hand, well that was very clever indeed, signed and then replaced back as found . Thanks cuzincori for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL. Definitely deserves a favourite point.

Now it is time to go back to the car and make my way to my next appointment, which is a bit South off here.

My mission today was to drive from Auckland to Wellington via Taranaki. My two objectives were to find enough caches to crack 18,000 finds and to find enough caches in Taranaki to knock off another district towards a challenge cache in Nelson. After looking in a couple of wrong places I noticed the cache container container. Hmm, now what? Tools? What a clever contraption. I managed to extract the cache without incident and replaced as found. TFTC, Biggles.

While staying in new Plymouth for a few days with M in Law we came out here for an excursion and of course a few of the newer geo caches in the area . We located this one and soon had the cache in hand which was signed and then returned to its hidey hole with out any muggles being around apart from the cars etc travelling past who were more concerned with the road and a a pair of oldies fiddling around a sign it is nicely constructed and well worth a fav point from me . Thank you for this new cache .

On a weekend trip to Taranaki with some of Team BOP. Always lots of fun on these trips targeting cache trails, solved puzzles and high favourites. Thanks to all the cache owners TFTC. This cache added a bit of fun for our night caching

06-Jun-21
TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching. FP from us great fun retrieving the cache.

06-Jun-21
Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between

Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.

I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets. Nicely crafted. Fp

I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Had some fun with this one! Today is a dot day for me and trayc.g said she had the perfect one for the school holidays plus it’s drizzling with rain and we should be covered by the nearby trees to keep us dry. She was right. We worked as a team and soon had the log in hand. FP for you. TFTC

A cheeky little? cache both hidden - but not hidden. I was intrigued to find what this was all about after reading the logs. Even in daylight this proved to be a tricky recovery until a technique was worked out. Great work cuzincori, it was a relief to finally get to see it appear. Definitely a favourite.

this didn't take me to long to make the extraction.
good cache.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We had planned to have another crack at the PWGT trail this weekend. And just to make things interesting, Gap had work in Taranaki...

We were intrigued by the cache description and decided this was worth a stop. Gap enjoys the challenge of these hides where tools are required, and he quickly worked out how to gain access to the logbook... Thanks cuzincori and TFTC.
