Day forty one of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Traveling between Rotorua and the lodge in the middle of the Timber Trail. We start our ride tomorrow. We did a few caches on the way here.We solved a pile of these X marks the spot cache before we came to NZ for the Mega.Several of them do not exist anymore. We stopped in on our way south today and collected what we could. Thanks for the series. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 41 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we leave Rotarua and head North. We had enough time to return to this series and finish them off except for the one we couldn't find. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday.
Nice quick find to help me complete the x. Thanks for your hard work to place these caches. Must have taken ages.
All of these were solved on publication but sadly some have gone missing since then. We went out early to find these and the frost was thick on the ground. No problems in finding the cache. Thanks
Solved this one some time ago, taking the opportunity to pick up a few as we go. No problems finding this one at GZ. All good, signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
I solved this series a long time ago, and have been slowly picking them up each time I visit the area.So today we made a point of getting a couple more, in places we could park the campervan nearby. No problems making the find here. Thanks for setting this up
#2744. Day 6 of a road trip from Wellington to Morrinsville (& back) to attend the 100th birthday party of a distant cousin.Yesterday, I travelled down from Te Aroha to Rotorua, and this morning continued my trip south.I "discovered" these X marks the spot Mystery caches last year. Certitude will tell you I solved this one on 23 Oct last year, and today it was the first find along SH5. Nice big tree tree guarding the cache!Tftc ApacheD
Finally getting around to solving these X marks the spot mysteries! Trying not to look suspicious whilst claiming these, TFTC! TFTMC!
Were travelling with Wilbert67 for a short holiday to NZ, seeing different places and grabbing caches along the way. Thanks to all the COs for their hides.
A wet start to the day again. Today mainly Roturoa and Taupe to discover. Lots of caches and adventures! TFTC Wilbert67
Solved the puzzle back in July 21 - out on a bike ride today, and stopped for this one along the way.
(# 8645) As it is a long weekend in Wellington I took a caching jaunt up to the Waikato and Bay of Plenty with TwigNZ, NZ_B and Itchyfeet2020. Stayed in Tokoroa which was the centre of the caching universe for this weekend. Day 3 was going to Tauranga and Rotorua.A nice quick find.. Logs were either signed MINT (being our initials) or Mr-Mcgoo.Thanks ApacheD for bringing me here.
Having taken Friday off as leave, and with Monday being Wellington Anniversary, I am making the most of a 4-day weekend by spending it with friends in the Waikato in order to try to target a few specific caches up here and otherwise boost my numbers for January. Our crew consists of Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B and myself TwigNZ, and so to save space on logs we simply signed our finds today with either MINT or Team MINT depending on log size.Today is day 3, and just like the previous 2 day there was a great deal of driving to a lot of beautiful places which make me want to come back and spend a lot more time at. One of the joys of geocaching for me is that I get to see places that I wouldn't have thought to visit otherwise, but often you just get a 'taste' of a place because you're rushing off to get another cache somewhere. One of the main targets of today was to hit this particular series of puzzle caches. A couple of us hadn't looked for them before, and the others had one or two previous DNFs to avenge. I was looking forward to finding these as I had solved the puzzles a couple of years ago but don't often get up this way. This was our first stop, and turned out to be a quick and easy find. No issues to report here with either container or log, and we soon had our names entered before the whole thing was replaced as found. Thanks for setting this one up.
**taybee** is caching again with **taybee nz** for the dayon the way to do the cache call GC892XZ we pull over to let the traffic go by and taybee nz call out there is a cachs 15 meters behind as so we have to get it was quick find here today All in good order, sign log book as **taybee** or **TB's ** * joint sign* ) TFTC Cache was found at **21/01/2024 @ 14:45:10**
After dropping the family at the accommodation I headed back down Highway 5 to collect a few more caches targeting some solved puzzles. First stop was a birding spot that revealed my second Fernbird for the trip. Then on to this spot - nice parking nearby and a very quick find.TFTC team BOP
Passing through on my way to Wellington. A quick find in an obvious spot, just had to watch out for the muggle cyclists passing nearby. Replaced unwritable wet log and cracked container with similar type. TFTC Team BOP
Our first from the series. Logbook is too wet. Easy to find. Found it on our way to Waimangu. Tftc
A rainy day in the BOP. Found the ones I could find quickly before heading back to Taupo. TFTC
Down in Rotorua for 2 nights and 3 days and I had in mind doing a few more of these puzzles, but this time I tagged along with Rebel98 and rustynz in Rex's car. This cache was the last we would do for this late afternoon, it was almost time for dinner, and we 3 are dining at Valentines in Rotorua in very short time. But time to head back to the YHA and have a quick shower to warm up and then dinner!
Thanks for the series so far Team BOP, I still have 5 more in the series to do but want to leave those for a mystery challenge I'm working on. A FP from me today for the fun.

Finding a few caches after nearby event. With rebel98 and gorby, thanks for the puzzles and hides
Recce'd this one on Friday when passing the other way. The right side for dropping in today and a park n grab of this recent looking container.
On the long road home from Tauranga and decided to grab some of the recently solved X caches. The rain was pouring so some w=quick out and in again finds, and wet shoes and socks!
The weekend is here and us capperz's are heading to the Mount for a 3 day weekend, travelling up early on Friday morning, and back home again on Friday. Not too many cache plans; a first trip to McLaren Falls, some new stuff at the Mount and a trip to Tauranga with a Wherigo in the sights. A few Ad Labs had the numbers ticking over and a few recent FPs have boosted my chances of knocking off this months Planetary Museum Maze, thingy. Thanks to all BoP cache owners for your hides. The weather was distinctly average, scenery great as always anywhere both new and familiar.

. Walked backed further than I needed to check this one and like the last cacher I had no luck. As I am friends with the CO I checked and added a replacement
With the Geotour coming to and end soon Yvettetb and I decided to go on a road trip to collect Tahi and Rua. Of course I had some puzzles at various places to collect and a few special types were added to the list too.
Today's plan was to get from Taupo to Rotorua collecting the tour caches and the Spot X puzzles in Rotorua. It was a bit of an adventure going to the Whirinaki forest today as we weren't sure how the roads had feared with the recent cyclone. As it turned out there was only one slip and the road was in far better condition than I expected. It was a beautiful walk to the tour cache and then the waterfall which was very pretty.
We grabbed this series on our way back. This I'd solved in April 2021 as i hadnt seen the next set of published puzzles in this series. Glad to be parked off these busy roads. We walked to this one but realised we could have driven a lot closer. Unfortunately there was no X marking the spot here so we couldnt spot this hide. Thanks anyway

Heading home now. Well, the Rotorua to Palmerston North leg. Should take only two days to get there. Hopefully.
Nice obvious hide environment, but no cache in the obvious places. Well, that means its one of the less obvious places - either that or I am going blind.
Thankfully, I wasn't going blind!

This was my last one for the day. Had an awesome adventure. I will be back to collect the others I have solve of this series. Thanks for setting them up. Tftc
Out with the munchkins (AJimbean) on an X mission! Success with this one thanks heaps
10,986. I am staying with my sister in Rotorua for a couple of nights and today my mission was to drive down to Whirinaki to do the PWGT2 cache. But of course a geocaching road trip is never a straight line or a trip without stops. Lots of stops - 30 caches picked up today. This was one of them. I solved this puzzle last year and noticed the final was close to the highway so pulled over and headed to GZ. Nice quick find here. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks Team BOP for hiding it here.
Team work solving these puzzles with kimbathelion. Good to tick them off on our day in Rotorua today. A nice quick find here today. TFTC
Catching up on marking the X on some earlier finds, we enjoyed this puzzle trail . TFTC
My plan did involve seeing if I could pull into this one first - but missed the pull over. Ended up walking to it from my park for one of the other caches on a hot day avoiding bikes - one super stealth version took me by surprise while i was walking! Duly located and signed between bikers and returned to my vehicle. Getting some good exercise thank you for the cache and series. Mum stayed in the car and shade for this one - i don't blame her
Malinkaly solved the puzzle and made the find here. I was basically along for the ride. Quickly found at GZ
Malinkaly and I planned a road trip to go to the MEGA but Covid has postponed the event again. We decided to continue on with our planned journey making adjustments as we go with the ever-changing travel restrictions.
Greetings from Dunedin!
Thanks for the cache, ApacheD

On the way to Taupo we decided to collect those solved Xs.
Nice and easy park and grab.

Having visited the GC45 plaque a few months ago on my way through, this visit was time for this connected series. All solved without too much trouble, and this hide was found without too much trouble either.
I have logged this cache as part of 12-12-12: A Challenge? http://coord.info/GC42CNY

Last for the day. Enjoyed solving this series and collecting. Thank you for the placement.
A quick find. Great to find another in this series.
Our trip continues after being curtailed on day 2 when we went into lockdown (that was an 800+ km day to get back to our respective homes). The trip with LNM1961 (logs signed either with our own names or ‘LE’) continues. We are travelling around the Rua area of the PWGT to collect all of these caches, plus some in the Tahi area. However, we aren’t just focussing on them. We are targeting others - oldies, ones that help us qualify for challenges, ones out of the way (especially on the Desert Road), as well as having fun, exploring NZ and seeing the countryside. TFTC

Am getting through this series and enjoying the roads I have travelled to retrieve ( well and art from those that can have more traffic than normal).
31 July 2021 11:43. All of the set solved, but sadly the only one I had time to stop for today. TFTC
We passed this one while out cycling in the forest but didn’t have a pen with us so came by later in the day while out in the car and armed with a pen. Quick park and grab - a deaf calf was near gz but fortunately it wasn’t too smelly
Stayed the night in Rotorua on our way up to Auckland to see the kids. Had lots of spare time to cache. Enjoyed solving this series in anticipation of this trip. Parked up by the main road and got the bike out. Good to stretch the legs and collect some smileys at the same time. No problems finding this one. TFTC
A nice quick find thanks. There was a different cache when I was by heare last year!
Ms_KR and I flew up to Hamilton to catch up on family and a few caches, especially those in the new PWGT geotour. We are looking at completing those in the Central north Island this holiday, and this is day 1 of those.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I teamed up with Butchie Bum for a road trip from Whakatane to Rotorua to Maketu to locate and sign off some caches up south-east Bay of Plenty way.
Signing off the latest ones of this series.
Cheers for the cache.

It has been a while since we last cached in the Rotorua area. In the meantime a bunch of X's have appeared to mark new spots. Heading from Taupo to Rotorua today by a rather circuitous route, stopping along the way to collect the finds. Thanks.
Out and about today clearing the bulk of what I have left between Papamoa and Whirinaki - Naturally we were chasing down the Pokai Whenua Tour but will happily grab anything that crosses our path.
We were now on our way home from Minginui but we still have some day light so this one was next. **This series along with the [GC45 Memorial Plaque](https://coord.info/GC892XR) are excellent tributes to [GC45 "First New Zealand"](https://coord.info/GC45) being the 9th Geocache ever published, the first placed outside of USA and the first in New Zealand.** But my daughter doesn't get it... she reluctantly exited the vehicle to find this one - quickly and without fuss. All good here - and I think that's us for the night. Home Time.
Cheers TeamBOP & TFTC

Waitangi Weekend...
My brother and I were looking for an escape from home, and a drive into the unknown seemed like the perfect ticket. As the driver, I had a destination in mind, and it wasn't too long before we found ourselves on the 'X' trail. I knew in advance what to expect with these recent placements and didn't need navigation to find this one. The blackberry has really crept in and has almost overwhelmed ground zone. Thanks Team BOP. TFTP and TFTC.

Parked up in between and walked back to the spot. Cheers looking forward to completion of the series.
Back in the area for the weekend so decided to continue with the series. Enjoyed the puzzles and no problem locating this one TFTC.
A good pullover spot here. A well beaten trail to cache. Very busy road today, I guess some are coming home from holiday. Thanks for the cache Team BOP
Ha, we wondered if there were going to more of theses X puzzles. These two new ones didn't take us long to solve and today we decided to forgo the painting of window frames and do a few things in town. Collecting caches being one of them. Arrived at GZ and on no, a couple of muggles sitting beside their camper having lunch. We can think of better places to do that than right there. We strategically parked the geomobile and hoped they wouldn't bother about what we were doing. They didn't and we soon had the cache in hand, signed and replaced and off up the road to the next one.
Thanks TeamBOP.
Thanks TeamBOP.
We had been busy solving all the x series caches before our trip to Rotorua, and had set about collecting these today. I had become distracted by another previous hide, and quite literally stumbled across this new final (having not yet solved the puzzle). You can imagine our surprise at finding a blank log, but worse still, trying to figure out the GC code so we can log it as [FTF].
Well of course there is another new one released nearby, so we head off in excitement of a second FTF in this remote area far far from home, TFTC
FTF #149

I am down in Rotorua for a few days, but today I was joined by two caching friends, Nufrat and AlunB. As we reconnoitered on how to attack the X series, we also tried to find one of the old ones along the bike trail. This turned out to be a new one in the series, so we got the FTF without even knowing that the cache had just been published. TFTC
out with agazo and alunb today, stopped here to let alunb grab one we already had, but on opening the cache we find it isn't what we expected, quickly worked out where how and why we found this one as is, solved this puzzle pretty quick, 3 out of towners got the {ftf}, the locals in this area need to be more alert lol, tftc
Wandered down the road to grab this one. I knew the first had already gone. Quick find in good condition. TFTC.
