Out in the PeuGEOt today with Mrs Cogs finding caches between Ballan and Bacchus Marsh. This one gets a favourite from us.TFTC
Another short walk with Mila dog that was of course longer than it needed to be. I love how I can't see the path until after I find the cache! Thanks for placing
As we headed from Ballarat to Geelong today to catch the Spirit of Tasmania home, we detoured into part of the Brisbane Ranges - love this area.Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a novel and most appropriate cache for The Empire. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Omegaman1971 for the great cache - it earns a favourite from us.
Found by caughtatwork on 11/08/2024 at 8:00:00 AMA nice find on a day our hiding geocaches in the Brisbane Ranges.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1

Find # 13435Heading home after spending the Australia Day Long weekend in the big smoke. Taking a total different road out of Werribee (and a rather long detour) to tackle a few caches on a "back rd"OK so this road was the planned cache run for the day. It was 2017 when I last travelled this stretch. Omg that long ago wow.Anyway, more caches make for a revisit.A quick park, walk n grab. TFTC omegaman1971
By now the hunger pangs had started having not brought any provisions with me on this excursion so this would have to be the last find of this trip (at least there's plenty more to do to justify another journey up here ).The spot on coordinates had me at GZ quite quickly at 14:55 and I didn't even need a hand to get the logsheet out. TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks omegaman1971.
Have ordered a new prop/container just waiting for delivery hopefully, it will arrive over the next few weeks.
Unfortunately it sounds like the large cache prop and container is gone. Will drop out to investigate ASAP.
Chook joined forced with Explorer_Nan on this beautiful autumn day to explore the Rowsley Valley, then return via the Legends Series on Reids Road.
Sadly we are logging a DNF at this one. We arrived at spot on coordinates to a scene that made us wonder at first if it was real or if it was the cache. We looked around the wider area, then read previous logs so we returned to carefully examine the GZ area in more detail, as we had no doubt by this stage that this was a well themed cache for The Empire. After a thorough search, we resorted to a PAF who told us what we should have been looking for. After an exchange of photos, we can confirm that this cache and its camo is definitely missing, because once we knew what we should have been looking for, there is no way we would have missed that! Maybe it offended a muggle? Or maybe it was just souvenired? We will never know but hopefully it can be replaced somehow (although we appreciate the work that would have been involved in creating it). Thank you anyway.

We searched around our well-defined GZ for what seemed like ages, but no luck. Widened our search area to no avail. We'll keep an eye on this one to see how other cachers go. Our thanks anyway to omegaman1971.
Doing maintenance nearby with suehut, and decided to find one for the day. Nice work on this one.

Team Autumn out on this cold and wet Melbourne cup day. Imagine stumbling on this on dusk . TFTC.
An pleasant spring day to head out and cache with SimsFamily from the You Yangs to Melton.
Wow what a fitting cache for the Legend Empire. Not sure what muggles would think of it.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Again, we suffered dodgy reception, and had to skip over Team Crackers. The Empire, however, only needed GPS, not the Internet. And what a cache! Oh my, omegaman1971, I think you deserve a Legends cache for this one offering alone! Pity all I can do for you is drop a fave.
Thanks heaps, Omegaman1971!

A lovely day with RoamingHowie exploring Bacchus Marsh and surrounding area, with an event, a cito and finding more of the Legends series.
Love love love this. I remember seeing pics somewhere (social media perhaps). But so much better in real life… or death lol
Fav point.

Well, now that Crack'n'LeeLee have enticed us out to morning tea in Ingliston Gorge, I should make the most of the caching opportunities.
A bit of hiking with SteMicMitSar, buhfuhguh and the hamfish, and I still wanted more smileys. But the weather was set to get wetter, so driving down to see which Legends had been given tributes since since I last visited seemed like a good idea.
And it was. Such fun caches.
Well, omegaman1971, I think this is the highlight of the Legends caches I've visited today.

Having being diagnosed with MND a couple of months ago which is progressing quicker than I would have hoped my great caching mates the suscoe’s have taken me out for a very enjoyable days caching in Melton, Bacchus Marsh and out to the Legends area on our way home.
It is very frustrating after having had a long life with a few major setbacks to end up with this problem, but like the best well known MND sufferer Neil Daniher who has written a book called “when all is said and done” written with Warwick Green.
I liked this that is written in the front of the book “Life doesn’t promise to be fair “and “Sometimes being smart is admitting you don’t know something”.
Well, we are off at 8.30am in the morning on the slow road towards Bacchus Marsh and then headed off to Melton to do a LAB cache first and then a few others and then back on the road to Bacchus Marsh and then out to the area where the Legends are growing in numbers. And finally, to check on a cache owned by the suscoe’s and to find out all that was required was a new log, and all was good.
This is the second cache in this area that we have on our list for today and you could not miss it due to the size of the placement. I like to see somethought and effort put into a placement and this has happened here . Well done.

What a delightful day out we had with our mate Bushfire.
It was clear skies this morning. no wind, it almost seemed warmer than it really was.
As the day progressed a few clouds arrived to take some of the mild sunshine away but no wind, so you have to be happy with that after the last couple of wintry days.
We found a good range of caches in both urban locations and out in the bush.
Thanks to omegaman1971 for this interesting hide.
Great to be out and about in the sunshine and in the bush.

What a great cache. I wonder what muggles would think coming across this! Love caches like this,so much fun and appreciate the effort gone into it, so we can enjoy it. Thanks so much!
Wow this is quite the cache, lot of work gone into this one, loved it. Thanks omegaman1971
We are rapidly approaching a milestone of 6000 finds which we plan to to on Friday afternoon but are a few caches short so today we headed for the Legends series to grab the caches we need to be within striking distance on Friday.
What a great effort has gone into this cache. It is a really good tribute to The Empire. I thoroughly enjoyed the cache when we made it to GZ.
Thank you omegaman1971 for a fantastic cache. I really love it when a favourite point is so easy to give.

Found it with senior Ogston Girl. Tftc. Greetings from Adelaide. Very interesting.
I have seen The Empire’s caching name in quite a few logs so I’m familiar with their name. This cache is awesome! I approached it from behind and wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but then it all just appeared out of nowhere! Quite handy! Definitely deserving of a favourite point, for which I am giving you. I grabbed the geocoin from here and will move it on as soon as possible. TFTC
I had to log a few caches first before this one to ensure I had a FP for it.
Brilliant, we loved this one. Aysen did ask it the whole thing was real. A lot of effort gone into here and really puts this area on the map. Thanks for putting it together, FP from me!

Instead of heading home last night, we camped in the Wombat State Forest. We arose early and started to head home, but we were determined to grab some caches on the way. Again we were targeting 2/2 caches but were happy to pick up others along the way. Today's weather wasn't as sunny and warm as it has been for the last four or five days, but still great for geocaching. We have spent some great days geocaching in the Brisbane Ranges and have found some of the Legends caches on previous trips. We decided to clean up some of the ones we have missed in the past. What an extraordinary cache. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, omegaman1971. An FP from us for this well-themed cache.
We took the opportunity of seeking out 3 unfound trads in the Brisbane Ranges after some cache maintenance close by on this lovely sunny autumns day.
This was certainly worth the detour to visit along the legend road with the great effort put into this very apt acknowledgement cache placement. We were taken aback when we approached gz by the enormity of the hide. A great tribute to The Empire.
Thanks omegaman1971 for the fun themed cache, a favourite for sure.

I was out on this road doing 5 of the legends caches on a miserable drizzly morning.
This was the 4th and boy was I in for a surprise at GZ.
Thanks omegaman1971. Love your tribute so a fav point is awarded.

Out to grab 2 caches on this palindrome day and so headed to the Legends series to pick up 2 new ones.
Not sure if I have met The Empire but it is certainly an awesome tribute at GZ. Loved the cache and the work that has gone into it. A Fave of course. Thanks omegaman1971

Out for an afternoon's caching with LittleBoss2 and we were rapt to see a legends cache dedicated to The Empire. I met Michael in my early days of caching and found he was always up for a chat and to give advice. Appreciate your help and contribution to our great game, congrats mate.

Out and about for the day with 'The Man Himself'. Lovin' life, coffees and caches, waymarks and photos, taking the roads less travelled.
Does it get any better than travelling this great land of ours?
A lovely sunny Sunday. A little late notice but decided to head out and clean up these caches.
A nicely themed cache for this legend cacher deserving of a favorite point.
Absolute awesome effort gone into this one.

Day #13 of the Birthday Bush Bonanza. I arrived in at Smythesdale late last night, rolled out the swag and settled in for a well earned rest. The plan today is for a slow journey back to Melbourne. The series of challenge caches and maybe some rail trail is all that is on the list so far.
I spotted some local FTFs this morning close to where I was staying. I also noticed these but assumed they would be long gone by the time I headed home.
Well you know what they say about assumptions! I set off up the hill, stuck behind a slow car travelling the back roads. Where they a geocacher or just a Sunday driver. I pulled over and took the short stroll to GZ.
WOW! This is an awesome cache! Well done Omegaman… a fav point is heading your way, and to add to it, the log book was empty. Everyone in Victoria must be busy today, or did I miss the news of a new lockdown or something?
Thanks omegaman1971 for an excellent cache and for contributing to the game. Thanks for the pathtag too!
