Day trip to Whanga from our camping base at Waihi Beach.Numerous new caches since last visit so let's see how many we can find.Got a bit wet gaining access to this one TFTC.
Thanks for placing a cache here, would have never known about this place otherwise. Nice quick find. [TFTC]
Found it after some bush bashing, think this is a pretty dangerous one to find with kids!!!
Thanks for your amazing cache G2. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. What a great hide. I got to about 55m but then spotted what could have been an easier track. It lead to the mangroves then success. Worth a favorite from me. Cheers, Cympull.
A bit of a delay in logging this but a great wee find in a park space I have not previously discovered. Tftc!!!
Bush bash. Sleeping rough out here as bed located. Finally found tree as gps was a little playful. Great walk, thanks. Happy three
Found with trayc.g on day 2 of our week away. It was fun visiting all these hot spots in Whangamata. TFTC
Popped out of the side street into a field filled with camper vans and muscle cars for Beach Hop. After waking through the maze of vehicles we made it onto the track and weaved our way to GZ. This is our 23rd cache of the day and our last. Time to go enjoy some Beach Hop festivities. Only 1 DNF today and am now well over my goal of 365 caches total for the year. Thanks for all your efforts G-2 in providing us geocachers fun here in Whangamata. #2200
After cycling up past the golf course, I headed back around here. No ponies or muggles around today, and a quick find, TFTC
Wow....how on earth did you find this little trail Glyn!
Great hide!
All good here...apart from a big tree fallen across the trail....but you can still get there no prob.
Good place for a pit stop.

Missed the trail and had to backtrack. Obvious hiding spot, once on the trail. TFTC

A very mysterious trail indeed, we wonder where it is/was supposed to go.
It was very wet and although we could see where the cache must be it was completely surrounded by water with no obvious way to get to it without the potential of an accidental swim.
We almost decided to give it a miss but Mr Coblet couldn’t face defeat so began a very slow and careful approach utilising the surrounding foliage as a barrier between him and the water as much as possible as well as taking on the characteristics of a frog leaping from lily pad to lily pad.
There were a few close calls and a somewhat embarrassing moment when two passing kayakers spotted him and must have wondered what on earth he was up to but he made it to GZ nice and dry.
His efforts were rewarded with a nice quick find much to his relief.
It then was another very careful but ultimately successful journey back to dry land.
Thanks G-2 for taking us on an adventure down this lost trail

What a great hide I haven't been down this track for some time its not to wet if you approach it from the right direction TFTC
I found the right trail and then managed to get soaked again walking through the wet rushes to get to the cache. A quick find was made and cache all good
Once our hero got into head high scrub, he decided he was probably on the wrong trail. Backtracked - impressive in itself - then we found the right trail. Still signs of the fire. Cache is all good. TFTC
Found on the 18th and forgot to log with firebird9 doh! Glad to finally get this one TFTC
Easy find. Wear shoes as there are signs of sneaky drinking here... broken glass etc Thanks!
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and nieces... While the general caching community seeks PWGT glory, we’ve decided to return to coastal Coromandel for a mop up mission.
We remembered our previous stop at this location. We were hoping to avoid the rigmarole of that former visit. The iPhone gps pointed toward the mangroves, and we took a rough trek in before finding the correct path. The find proved to be quite straightforward, much to our relief. Thanks G-2 and TFTC.

Thanks for another bunch of hides in Whangamata!
Visible geotrail makes it easy too.

Thank you. David.
I was in Wellington on a road trip when these caches came out. Now I'm back (and recovered), seemed like good target for a gentle day's caching. Raining in Bowentown but lovely here. TFTC.
Over at Whanga for the day with ABCDF4 to pick up the new caches
Ran into Macwatt and Kahluis from time to time
Some nice easy find.Great walk
Thanks to the CO

Nice geo trail forming here...lovely quiet area and nearly full tidethanks G-2 for another tidy cache..all good here
Quite a well worn track down here and the geotrail is almost as worn. No peace here as a local dog was announcing it's territory. Not too close though. Thanks for the cache G_2
Saw new caches and decided a run to Whangamata would be good. Brought my ole man and his mate. Dropped them off in town. Cheers for bringing me here.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Find number 7231. After arranging to have a day caching with Boges in this area I decided to come over early and spend the night with my sister. After diner Boges advised he was unable to make it so I decided to have a look for the FTF on the caches in town. It was on the bicycle I got.
I managed to get most of the way to GZ without having to use the torch but when my toes got damp I witched in on. I had gone past the cache but a trail was soon spotted that took me to the hide. {FTF} number 249. Thank you for the placement.
