Thanks GeoRick for the cache. Its #2143 for us. We found your cache on Saturday 16 November 2024. Quick find after taking our grandchildren to see the fairies. I remembered watching you on YouTube some time ago taking your own grandkids to see these. Lovely spot.
Well this really was a rummage in the bush but Mr KBclan had success! We hasn't seen a container like this before. Kid thought up names for it haumi bison Master 9 settled on.Miss 6 loved the suprise inside. Fun for the area. Good thinking. This is our last cache. Kids have done well walking the full loop today. But of rain, bit of sun. But time to go home for dinner! TFTC
This morning I did the Hobsonville Point parkrun for the first time. I was surprised and excited to get a new parkrun PB with an official time of 29:32! It was a nice reasonably flat course with friendly volunteers and interesting twists and turns. After the run I picked up a yoyo biscuit from the market and then went for what turned into a wet and rainy walk to find some caches. This was the first cache I found this morning. I went straight in at first and didn't have any luck. When I went back to the path and stood back a bit, I realised I could see the cache - it was just slightly too high for me to have reached on my first try. It took a little while, but I managed to get it down and sign in. Cute cache guardian and a good container too - thank you for placing it here!(#2396)
Busy little area. But managed to sneak in and find it. Kids loved the little fairy inside. Tftc.
MrMuggle could see this one from the path using his height! I was a bit low. Soon had our autographs on the log. TFTC
Cant find it but there were lots of people around. Will come back another time
Out caching with Aratahihi. Mokopuna found the spot while koro retrieved the cache. TFTC
Visiting friends in Hobsonville for the night, so I kidnapped their dog for a walk.Taking the ''long way round'' I detoured via this GZ.Spotted on approach whilst the doggie sniffed the undergrowth. Thanks GeoRick#5120
The ants are keeping the fairy house well guarded. My fear of spiders made me cautious to explore to closely with my hands but luckily tall DD grabbed it for me. TFTC
Last find in the area for the evening, such a lovely spot! Thankfully not too many muggles around at this time of day. A great little hide, TFTC!
Luckily a tall friend was able to see it, as I was too short to see. Very nice, easy to find
Great cache. Night time caching and found with Seattles best, Indiana Jill, sostephoh and Lui the dog
The Air Force flew over as we were finding the cash, but no land-based muggles to worry about at 10 oclock at night. Found with Seattles Best, So Steph Oh, @Lui_thedog and a lovely moon.
Thanks so much! My daughter loved this spot. We super glued fairy back to her lid and put some goodies in.
I enjoyed my time in Hobsonville today. Found a mixture of old ones and new ones. All good here. TFTC
It is nice to have a few caches close to where I've parked my snail shell so that I could get a streak continuing.
There were a couple of fairies up on the balcony above me while I was signing the log but they couldn't see me.
Cheers for the cache, GeoRick.

With rebel98 cycling around Hobsinville point, dodging the rain and finding caches.
Thanks for the hide
Thanks for the hide
Was walking the Loop today and stopped for a quick find here. Will have to come back to find the Fairy Houses. TFTC
It's not by any fairy house? Can still be reached but manuka slash is laid around the area.
I found this cache while on vacation in New Zealand Thank you for the experience Greetings from Germany
Found it. Musical trees in the wind. We found it on a cold windy day but none the less beautiful
I decided to head to the Point today to grab some things from the farmers market and also spend some time caching. It was not as busy here as I was expecting today, so upon arriving at GZ it was a short wait for some muggles to pass and then easy enough to make the grab.
It all seems in good condition and it reminded me to go and look at the fairy houses. Very pretty! Thanks for the cache #1442

Nice easy cache, there was a bit of water in the bottom so I made sure to close the plastic bag tight.
M24: Made sure the fairies weren't disturbed as I went and retrieved this cache. A nice and easy find, log is signed, all is good. TFTC.
Lovely warm winters morning for a wander. Plenty of people out and about. Nice quick find - TFTC
Only a few people around so had to wait a bit before ducking in there. Nice quick find. TFTC
Yay we finally found a fairy down here. We also discovered loads of monbretia and wattle to be pulled out here before it becomes a pest.
Despite hearing about the fair houses all the time, I've never been to visit them! Even today while walking to the cache, I heard a lady telling their grandkids about the cool fairy houses nearby... it must be quite a sight Anyway, this cache was not an issue for me to find due to a good hint... I really enjoy this park which I've been to quite a few times in the past. I remember having massive "Nerf gun wars" with my friends when I was younger at the rifle range a few hundred metres away. TFTC GeoRick!
Out and about in Hobsonville Point this afternoon trying to clean up some of my last remaining unfound caches in the area I remember caching around here when I was a brand newbie back in 2020, so yes - there were a few DNF's to avenge. I quite like this area and some of the neat parks around here! A nice haul of 7 finds... All in good condition! Thanks CO's for your hides

Had previously tried to find this cache on a walk around the area during one of the lockdowns. Unfortunately, there was a family having a picnic on the grass in front of this cache, and due to Covid I didn't want to get too close. Decided to try again another time.
Happened to be nearby quite early in the morning and with very few people around it was nice and easy to search for this cache.

TFTC! log was full so I put a bit of refill in there, didn’t have any spare logs sorry. TFTC
In the area this afternoon for Mrs and junior to partake in a virtual 10km run around the point.....my job was to collect a few of the local caches ...I had seen many photo's of these and have thought they were very cute.......

Spotted the cache fairly quickly as we were exploring around Hobsonville, nice little fairy, TFTC

A nice little stroll to GZ whilst in the area clearing out a few caches. Shame we didn't have the grandies with us, they would have loved the area. TFTC

I've done a recce run on this one before so was straight up to it and signing after parking nearby. No time for a long walk around the loop today (after so many previous times). Nice hide here to highlight the points of interest nearby, thanks GeoRick.
So, my time living in the area is rapidly coming to a conclusion and I move South in a couple of weeks time back to the Manawatu region, though have plans to head back here periodically to visit and explore, once more. After my work chores were done for the day I headed out on a loop drive and walk to mop up some of my unfound caches within the North Shore area. Once again some good finds and big thanks to all COs for their hides.

Out and about for a spot of after dinner caching and exercise this evening. This was my first stop on this outing. While I was able to park near GZ it was a good launch point for my first walk of the evening. The rain has calmed down and is now pretty gentle. This was located after a very brief search. Right, now to stroll on over to "Bomb Point". Cheers for the cache placement.
Day out with TEAM SEAC after too many lockdowns and as an O birthday surprise for GeoHusband when we were thebownehornet. The plan was to bike around and stop for a picnic lunch but what he didn't know was that NZ Iceman was ready to set up at the picnic stop so when we arrived there was cake and decorations etc. After lunch the plan was to continue biking and caching back to the cars. The weather was perfect, the company great...it just felt like such a normal day again after all the lockdowns.Updating my new geo account with unlogged finds as thebrownehornet, with keylev, NZtravellers, HeMaLuDy and etc, collectively TEAM SEAC and finally logging 14 04 2024 as NurseDr.
Covid restrictions had been let reduced so that a sizeable group of us could meet up for a catch-up and some physical exercise in the form of a bike ride. It also doubled as a surprise 50th party for one of the members of the group when we stopped halfway for a picnic lunch complete with a surprise birthday cake. The log was signed as Team SEAC to conserve log space.

Out on a ride with my geo caching buddies "Team SEAC". Great day out, enjoyed our ride around the area. Thank you for taking the time hide this cache.
Found whilst out on an adventure with Team SEAC.
Thanks for the fun and the cache.
Thanks for the fun and the cache.
A while ago a plan was hatched by Team SEAC members to have a group caching session around this area. A group of 19 of us biked and 2 walked a different route. We all meet up for lunch and a surprise birthday get together for one of the members. Mr HeMaLuDy is always a little sad when coming to this area as he remembers how it used to be when he spent some time here while in the RNZAF. Signed Team SEAC to save space. This was the second cache of the day and was a quick find. TFTC
Team SEAC organised and bike ride outing and decided to tag along. The day was good for it, with full blast of the sun.
Quick find. TFTC

Planned a biking day out with some of the team SEAC crew to secretly surprise Mr from the BrowneHornet who is celebrating a big birthday today. The plan was to bike around and stop for a picnic lunch but what he didn't know was that NZ Iceman was ready to set up at the picnic stop so when we arrived there was cake and decorations etc. After lunch the plan was to continue biking and caching back to the cars.
The weather was perfect, the company great...it just felt like such a normal day again after all the lockdowns.
This was first cache of the day for me as I had already found an earlier one the crew had not.
Quick find and we were on our way.
Thanks for bringing us here and the cache.

Today we were part of a big group of Team SEAC cyclists enjoying the sun and riding around Hobsonville collecting caches. It also happened to be a 50th Birthday for one of our group so we stopped for a picnic lunch and surprise birthday cake for the birthday boy half way through the day. Had a wonderful catch up with good mates we hadn't seen for so long, and despite a couple of DNF's we enjoyed the caching as well. Thanks to all the CO's today. We signed as team SEAC on the logs to save space and time.
A few of us went on to this cache due to some brake issues with one of the bikes and some running repairs required. MrsNZT found this one quickly and the rest of the gang caught up. TFTC!

After months of lockdown a plan was hatched to gather Team SEAC for a biking caching session around Hobsonville as soon as we were allowed as it had been far too long for a catch up. The weather was playing ball today... although at some points it was too hot! Halfway round we had a picnic in the park to celebrate a birthday for a member of our team. All logs were signed Team SEAC to save space.
This was the second find of the day, but unfortunately no fairies, TFTC!

My boy with eyes like a hawk saw it from the track! OUY: Iron Man. IN: Darth Vader
Met up here with Pazza & Merlot (& what seemed like half of Auckland … with their kids &/or dogs) for a socially distanced wander around the area. Pazza started our day off with a nice quick find. Thanx ftc
I came here with Merlot and Bertie for a socially distanced walk and cache, which was rather difficult with all the people, kids and dogs today. The dismay weather did nothing to discourage anyone and it was lovely to see the joy on kids faces during this outing. Tftc
This shortie gets a bit nervous when reading “reach up” so approached from an easier angle and it was an easier find. Cute container. Tftc
Forgot to log the caches we did just before we went into lockdown and couldnt remember the date on which we did them so decided to come back here this morning just to do a quick check. Remembered exactly where to find the cache but when we opened it up funnily enough and dont know why but our names were nowhere to be seen. Signed with todays date and will visit the others to find the original date we were here. Love the nearby fairy houses and war bunkers so its nice to be back here.
Having a socially distanced caching catch-up with Team Welsh this morning at Bomb Point. Time for this last one before heading home. Nicely in-theme cache container, thanks.
This is such a cute idea and I remember seeing it on the news. Cache was easily found and I like the cute addition to the cache container. Thanks for this cache.
Nice and pleasant find between the showers.
I always like the containers like this one here.

I saw this day was going to be lovely and warm, surprisingly so for first day of August, so at a rather late hour of this Sunday morning I sailed away from home and decided on random caches anywhere around the north shore.
Parking... what parking! These houses around here are so cramped and burgeoning. Every time I visit the area, something has changed that I don't quite recognise. So anyway, found some parking that wasn't quite right but knew I wouldn't be there too long.
Made my way to somewhere near GZ, checked the phone, saw fairy pictures on the cache page and wondered if I was looking for a fairy abode. I was sadly disappointed to see no fairies welcoming me like Tinkerbelle (Julia Roberts) welcomed Peter Pan (Robin Williams) in the movie Hook (excellent movie btw). I wouldn't mind being transported to never-never land and flying around.
But reality check here... I found something almost as interesting as Tinkerbelle's hideout. I managed to be discreet all the while many people were walking here and there. So after signing in I floated off in some sparkly cloud dust provided by Tink's wand and was transported to another era.

Out geocaching to night and found it safe and dry.
Thorough I mite have had to leave this one to nite if I need a touch due to the muggles across the road.
Followed the hint and found in the first place I tried.
Put it back and no one was the wiser.
Thanks for placing such a bold cach.
It made my nite.

Finally managed to find one today. But where's the fairy dust? Almost expected to be covered in glitter here rather than the mud and twigs thanks to the geohound.
