Crunched the numbers and went to GZ and saw an object which matches the description of a previous finder but no cache was found.Ive put a temporary cache here and notified the CO.Bob can remove my found log if this isnt acceptable.TFTM
After being on the sick list for the last few weeks I decided some fresh air was in order. So I headed out to the north east suburbs to clean a few unfound caches off my map. Twenty caches were sought with 18 found...of which 15 were BFE caches. Thanks Bob for those 15 hides and to all other cache owners as well (and please excuse my generic logs). Fortunately there weren't too many muggles about today so finding the caches was pretty straight forward - although the traffic in the Ingle Farm Shopping Centre car park was a law unto itself. No poles were needed and the ladder came out once. TFTC.
In the area, visiting my mother and sister. Out for a walk to try to reset my internal clock, as it took me about 30 hours to get here from the east coast of the United States.Found the first stop, and then had no troubles, finding the final, which is actually in great shape. TFTC!
We were in the neighbourhood doing some other BFE caches and this was on our way to yet another one. Seeing that a lot of the other ones nearby are in muggle central, and this looked like slightly less busy to attempt, we stopped and collected the necessary data to calculate GZ. Then we walked ... at the end of which, we found a cache TNLNSL TFTC
A beautiful morning so out with the gravel bike for some exercise and caches multitasking

Well this is just a bit spooky. I remember visiting WP1 perhaps almost three years ago now, very early in my geocaching career. I was hunting traditionals, and for almost every cache that day, the previous finder was OZGrumpy. This one was memorable because he DNFed and I found it. Insert newbie smugface here.
Here we are, and once again I’m trailing OZGrumpy, albeit by six months.
It’s a bit sad to see WP1 crumbling. One side wall of the lookout has collapsed, and I imagine the rest will follow. However, todays numbers worked a treat for me, and after a short walk, the cache was in hand.
As a kid, I’d often pass Yatala prison as the family shuffled between Modbury and Kilkenny along GJ Rd. It seemed like the old part of the prison was the only building for miles and mikes around. Look at it now!
Thanks for the nostalgia Bob From Elsewhere.

I recall visiting this structure on a previous occasion, where I couldnt count nor find that particular cache. I did make amends on that one. The visit this time was a little different. Cache found and signed. Movable object was right in the middle of the bike path, so I relocated it 2m sideways to avoid unwanted attention. Thanks for the cache Bob from Elsewhere. They are doing a lot of building work over on the other side of the valley.
Has been much too long since I had any cardio exercise so last night picked this cache for being a suitable distance away and this morning after breakfast got the bike out and headed this way.
Numbers were obtained and soon after a suitable hiding spot was spotted. Had forgotten the stamp or even a pen but there was a pencil in the cache so my name is now in the log.
Now to head straight home to do some cooking.
Thanks to Bob From Elsewhere for placing this cache for cachers to find

Out for a half days caching with Mattycat, today was to clear a few mysteries and multis for the time we had, this was one of them, nice to revisit this area on a warmish day, collected the info and made our way to GZ for a easy find, our last multi for the day

Found it .....bitten by ants which were swarming near where we parked the car and then at the structure. Did the calculations and started walking to where our GPS said it would be and the batteries died. Geopartner spotted what was a likely hiding spot just off our trajectory and bingo, he was right. Thanx
After attending the Early Birds Event this morning, I headed off for a few hours caching in the northern suburbs.
My main targets were some previously solved puzzle caches and some multis. I also managed to complete the Adventure Lab cache at Thorndon Park Reservoir.
Thanks Bob From Elsewhere for the cache.

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Another Wednesday wander for the Befuddled Puzzle Solvers. once again it was Me, Blackadders and SA. Sewer Rats cruising around the burbs in search of solved puzzles and another others that popped up on our GPSr along the way.[^] There were the usual laughs but I am happy to report no blood, falls or ripped clothing was the cause today.
This was it. Once again I was at BRIAN. I had been to the start point previously and still had a photo that when combined with the cache page gave me the answer I was looking for. The other two had previously found it and so confirmed my calculations. So at GZ I was surprised at all the development across the valley. Has it really been that long since I was last here. [?] I trudged through the every growing carpet of wet sour sobs, it won't be long before they completely cover the hide. [^] But the hide was still visible and I soon had the cache in hand and was back at BRIAN.
I wonder how many days that will last? [B)][B)]

Some pretty cool history here, with a view of some gaol extensions happening across the valley!

"A cache a day keeps the doctor away" - a pretty good fitness plan for 2021!
------------
- - Search at a good social distance whenever you can - or at least with nice clean friends - -
Things are slowly getting back to whatever normal might be - take it carefully!
Catching covid or gastro or anything really would mess up your streaks and challenges!
Keep away from all the nasty bugs ( except nice travel bugs of course ) Move them on!
[|)] - 2, 4, 6, 8,,, let's all go and vaccinate, one day when it's available lol !
[|)] - keep away from crowds as much as you can, they spread those nasty bugs! [:o)]
[|)] - go out and find or place some new caches in our safe country areas away from bugs!!
Life's good. Enjoy ! ! ! Cache the state

After a massive day at work I still needed to find a multi cache. Thought this would be a good one to do and arrived just as the light was fading. By the time I’d done my calcs it was dark and I made an error adding my coordinates but didn’t realize as they looked good. Got to my GZ by torchlight and realized I must have made a mistake luckily I was only 100m away from actual final where i found a typical Bob hide. TFTC BFE!

The structure at GZ is certainly from another era - far from the days when Dry Creek was parkland we think [B)].
Counted the numbers as we dodged the bull ants (no ant dance today) , then it was off to GZ.
Have to wonder how this cache survives here [?].
TNLNSL.
Thanks again Bob.

Convicts we weren’t. But standing at the watch tower convicts we could almost see. A fun multi. TFTC
We were passing and this one was a stand out. Much like the tower. H423L crunched the numbers - I think I counted the things but the two geosisters had the numbers way before I did. I was imagining being on post in the tower all day. Today would have been OK with the cool breeze blowing through the windows. Anyway I digress.
GZ was calculated and the 4 of us were off to collect the prize.

What could possibly be my last MultiCache in ADL as a South Australian Born and Bred Geocacher, i just had to make it a BFE cache {Fave Point not only for that but the fact i love the old tower here and yes, i have been here before to find a Trad }
I did the hard-yards [solve] on this one after a Relatives "Leaving SA Lunch" for me at the Grand North, on Friday 22 January 2021, but my Geocaching site wouldn't load the Geocaches, [we don't know why [:o]], I was left to do the puzzle side of it as this was all i could do at that time {the supports total and steps}
That done i went home and after making the site re-load and punched in the co-ords.
Only today, Wednesday the 27th, was i able to find the time to come grab the already, worked-out, final.
A swift find of a very BFE-Type hide was found to a big smile
SL at 10:07 on 27/1/21.
TFTC BFE ... all is good and dry in the cache of this cool hide
{Imagine being couped up in that small tin hot-box in Summer!} Who's laughing now? The Convict / Prisoner or the Guard

Rounding out the BFE day, a quick calculate, drive and sign. Not a muggle in sight at either location, but an interesting bit of history.
I had organised a caching day with Doctor Owl to find a few of the new BFE caches that have popped up since my last visit out here. [^]
Our last BFE cache before heading into the city for a pub lunch. Another spot I have visited for a previous cache. We gathered the info, did the sums and worked out where GZ would be. Headed there and saw a very likely hide as we walked towards GZ. Cache retrieved and log stamped.
Thanks for the cache BFE.

In the area today, so stopped for a look. A special location for me, as I’ve been here before! I found my first geocache at this location by somebody called BFE!! Of course I had no idea of the notoriety of this person till much later . Muggle neighbour seemed interested in me as I parked nearby, so went down the hill to avoid awkward questions! Got some numbers and did some calculations as I noticed another muggle neighbour watching from a distance. Off to GZ and a fairly obvious hide and a quick sign of the log. Thanks for the another cache here Bob, 10 years apart! . TNLN SL. A lot of earthmoving activity across the way at the prison today. (Making room for more maybe?)
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Saw this published recently but have been extremely busy at home and this morning on the way to the office it was timely to make a small detour in and make the find.
Parked as directed and wandered over to the structure. Gathered the information, counted twice to make sure. Performed the maths and plotted the coords. Not too far away so a quick wander to GZ and as approaching recognised a very typical BFE hide. Removed cache, stamped log and replaced as found.
An interstring structure that I had only seen while passing through the area previously but now have had a decent look.

The plan for this morning was to complete the nearby multi “Convict Run”. I had trouble with one of the waypoints so decided to head over to this new cache.
Hurtle had already secured first place so I leisurely walked up the hill to the posted coordinates.
Interesting bit of history here to see. Coordinates calculated and the cache was in hand after a short walk.
