Thank you for the cache. Really nice look out spot and a good place to have a little walk. Very glad I saw it on the map and decided to go looking for the cache. Ended up looking on the wrong side of the cache for a few minutes and then thought I should try the other side. Hidden very well. Theres some long grass sounding the log but decided I really wanted to find the cache so ended up looking going/looking in it. Took: the 1951 half penny Left: the Bat trackable (from Germany and found at the Lancefield post office this morning).
On my way to a 3 day 4wdriving navigation event in Guildford so I decided to grab some along the way!
I'm glad I didn't make getting to GZ any harder than it was... nice little walk I was thankful for the path..my Geo senses took a while to wake up..IDK why..grey sky's the weather doesn't know what to do ....well I then proceeded to walk past the exit path then the rain started my shoes started getting wet as I waded through the longish grass only to be halted by a fat snake ....I hastily backtracked back to the top to find that path again while the snake obviously just having eaten slowly disappeared .....the gaiters will be going on for the rest of the day.
Continuing on with my streak which often means visiting a few places again on different days and also some reasonable detours.I had to drop something off at my sons place so I called in first for a short walk.A nice spot around here and I think that there were a few golfers still out.Not a bad day up this way and it was nicer then at Altona where I work.I found a parking spot close by and I followed the trail in towards the cache. After a quick search I soon had the cache in hand. Now back to the Geowagon and to keep moving on.Thanks SnailBait TFTC.
First find for us on a very rainy National Geocaching Day. Beautiful spot. TFTC
Fortunately I read the logs, came up the no through road and had a pleasant amble to find the cache. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot!
Find # 15977Off for a day trip, some shopping in Bendigo, then a wander down the Calder Hwy to grab a few caches and AdLabs.Ended up in Gisborne to kill a bit of time as my original plan was to be on Mount Macedon at dusk. With footy on, I thought I was taking the long way in. But it seemed a pretty good choice to take.TFTC SnailBait
Well - after deciding that the nearby Big Puddle was too much walking on a wet day we decided to try this one. Would be much easier if you start from the No Thru Road - but from the sports ground it was quite a hike uphill for old blokes. Found the cache and returned to the GeoCruiser and picked up UncleTom3 from the easier path just as the rain started. TFTC from Tassie
Well, we certainly approached this from the wrong direction. We followed the map to what appeared to be the closest parking spot and found that we had a steep scramble to get to GZ. Having found it, I did what any sensible old bloke would do, and walked out the easy way, sending the caching buddy back down the way we came to bring the vehicle around and pick me up. Left a 1951 halfpenny. TFTC.
We left home very early to come to Woodend and do the Campaspe Parkrun. It is a lovely run, and the wind held off for us. After completing the 5 kilometre run, Huntress went off to run another 10 kilometres while I strolled over to this geocache. I might have taken the wrong way up the hill, as it felt like I was walking in someone's backyard. Once at GZ, it took me way too long to find this D1 geocache. I did find a golf ball first, which I left it the container after I eventually found it. Took a different way back down the hill to the oval. Thanks for the cache, Snail Bait.Hunter
We were not sure we approached this cache from the correct way but once we got to the end of the dead end road it made sense. A quick brisk walk to GZ afforded us with the nice sized cache. Thanks SnailBait for the placement.
Revisiting GZ after a few years, when the cache was missing. Quick find this time. Nicely mowed grass leading up the hill.
Out for a drive today to follow an adventure lab and thought wed grab a couple of caches in the area. Quick find, signed the log and replaced the cache in its hiding place.TFTC
Took a while, looking in all the wrong places. Pretty obvious when we finally found it.
Nice and easy find and stroll from the no through road driveway. Wasnt immediately obvious so foraged through the long grass for a while - that was a mistake. TFTC!
Second day, Benalla to Ballarat. Beautiful start of the day, lots of caches and labs. Thanks to all the CO for their hides. J+J.au

Out today in the area bit of drizzle and fog about. Looked all over except the correct place first. Doh Took the pathtag yay. Good start to the day TFTC
Second find today. Initially I parked at the wrong spot. I took one look at the 'path' and thought "coming back down is an accident waiting to happen". Luckily I tried the other road that looked like a driveway on Google maps. Much easier from that side. TN, left a pathtag. TFTC
Cold day in Woodend but sun is out. Lovely view. Enjoy tourist information Centre and spirited uphill walk. Now to get a coffee in Woodend
Quick find on the way home after a work trip to Kyneton. Pleasant spot with a lot of currawongs. Thanks.
Out for a drive to Woodend today to visit the annual entomology expo. Couldn't go for a drive without grabbing a few caches! Parked the car and walked into this one, nice easy find. I wasn't the first person to find this one today! Beautiful spot, the name is accurate! TFTC
A short trip up to Maldon and Heathcote this weekend grabbing a few caches on the way.A nice little short walk with dry feet until I got to GZ! Oh well.A good sized cache. Thanks, Robmc.
Ahh like previous cacher I to took the slippery track up the hill

After a satisfying brunch in Woodend, I decided to give this cache a shot. Once I made it to the cache I noticed there was an actual pathway leading to the cache, but I had ended up taking the challenging steep and slippery trail to reach it. On the way back, I opted for the nicer track haha. I left behind the Froggy TB and can confirm that the cache is in good condition. TFTC
Found cache after having a lovely afternoon in Woodend. Great view from the log.

OK, so 10:30 on a Saturday during footy and netball season might not be the right time for easy parking down at the sports ground, but a spot opened up as I drove in.
A brisk walk up the hill to a quick find, then back down, enjoying the netball match in front of me as I made my way.
Thanks, SnailBait.

Suscoe was heading southbound today.
A cold start to the day but the sunshine followed us as we travelled along.
Lots of interesting stops along the way to find caches.
Thanks to SnailBait for this hide, a nice walk up the slope and a find, wet ground and a cool air temperature.

I parked down by the sports ground and then we walked up the hill to the GZ which certainly got the ol' heart pumping! I was a bit wary of coming across a slithering critter while rummaging around for this one which didn't eventuate thankfully. Nice views too!

After leaving Rutherglen where we had completed the EASTER 2023 whereigos, to stay at Yea for the night to meet up with a friend the following day, we suddenly had to change plans and meet in Woodend instead, so a bit of a cross country jaunt. We then decided we would stop at Bendigo for the Puzzle afternoon before heading home to Echuca.
We had time to spare, so there were caches to find, and this was one of them. Entered from the wrong direction initially, but a quick look at satellite maps revealed a well mown path to GZ.

Grub62 and I stopped for morning tea nearby and thought that this cache would be nice. After arriving at GZ a short search proved fruitful and the logbook was signed. TFTC.

After stopping in Woodend for morning tea Bunadoorian and I headed here to find this cache. We had a look around and finally we came up with the cache. I loved the views from the walk back to the car. TFTC and for bringing us here - SnailBait. Now to continue our road trip to pick up some needed 360 degrees from home for me.

*Cache find #1238*
The Cache Whisperer had to come to Woodend today to taste beer at a local brewhouse. Yes, it’s his job. I just heard “geocaching” somewhere in the conversation, so came along for the ride. It was a relatively quick find here after we scrambled up from the oval, but decided to walk the long way around for a safer return to the car. Thanks SnailBait for the good size cache and lovely views. Cache on
**The Cache:** Good condition. Dropped two TBs (10 Bucks & Anise My Geopet) but H for Home is missing. Probable gone when the cache went missing back at the end of 2021. TN, signed log as Let Them Eat Cache, LTEC or something in between. Replaced as found.
*Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**

I've been in Woodend many times over the years but never up here - obviously not a golfer!! Completely different views from here. Many thanks. I've adopted the TB to try to find out who he is & where he should be. If I have no luck, I'll return him here. Many
The kids loved this cache so much we came here 3 times to swap swag! Thanks so stocking this up, kids loved it and nice tucked away cache.
great find great location love all the bits and pieces great keeping out of the weather
While in the are for the weekend for a 4wd event, we took the opportunity to grab a few caches
Definitely made this harder than it should have been, from climbing up a slippery steep hill after battling through meter tall grass only to find a nicely mown path to gz

Was a little bit slippery because I took the hardest route - as always. Decided on a much better path on the way back. Thanks for showing me this area SnailBait
Found it, was harder then we thought since it was so wet, but just as we were about to give up, we found it. Trackable is missing though which is sad
Almost gave but then we found it. Along with 2 golf balls nearby and a trackable. So definitely worth the hike up the slippery track
Tftc, found with lilbassgirl. One trackable seen, but leaving in cache as shiftwork means I can't get any more for several days
Found with K9team after attempting to find the night cache on Mount Macedon.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
After working out the easiest way to get here, this ended up being a drive by. GT37 and I were grateful for this as it was teeming. It took a little longer than we would have liked to locate the cache. We are sure we were not looking properly as it was so wet but we found the cache were we had looked a couple of times. Thank for the cache.

The trees are certainly trying to overtake the view of the reserve but Mt Macedon is standing tall. A bit of a search and we discovered a well stocked and dry cache adding a FP.
Discovered trackable Finland Flag Tag (TB57C3E)snuggled in the warm.
Did not sight TB7Z229 'H is for Home' which is also listed for this cache.
Thanks to SnailBait for placing caches in interesting locations.

Found by edmil & Maddie. A nice day out after the impact of long covid. Still suffering but at least out and about.
Decided to have a break on the way to Melbourne, tested the loo and had a lovely park walk, perfect
Well done. Attended the Farmers market and spent lots of money. Very cool today. Not really a day for viewing. We enjoyed the stroll thanks
A nice and quick find on this beautiful night in Woodend. I really enjoy caching at night as there isn't a muggle in site TFTC. Left a TB
Sadly we couldn’t find it. It was very wet and my enthusiasm for crawling on the ground wasn’t as high as it should have been.
Cache all back and ready to be found, please as usual watch for the public and hide it back where you found it, so others can enjoy this cache to. Enjoy
