Find number 13781 at 4:21:29PM on Thursday the 5 September 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back. We're currently enjoying some rest and relaxation in Albany and time to look around this great town/city, whichever it may be Today we again juggled our plans due to the rain and decided to go for a drive into the hinterland. We went for a walk up onto the Granite Skywalk and then visited the wonderful town of Mt Barker before returning to Albany.Great views after skirting around the hill a little.**Thanks for placing this cache jasenjanine**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
Nice quick find great view, be careful on rocks after rain can be slippery. TFTC
Wowee, another great spot we would not have found without geocaching! Not really signposted, so glad a cache brought us here! Views were amazing, cache nice and easy to find! Love the tower! Definitely like the Eiffel tower and definitely an 'eyeful' of views! Well done!Staying at a nearby farm to think about tackling the Peaks once the clouds clear up and decided to head into Mt. Barker to clean up a few caches in town and grab a few supplies....great day out!Thank you jasenjanine for placing and maintaining 'Eiffel' of Views for us and others to find and enjoy! Fave point added for a great location we may not have found without your cache!
Day 4 of my adventure heading home . Stopping along the way grabbing a few smilies along the way . So happy that this was one of them . Some logs signed as N2OThankyou*jasenjanine* for placing and maintaining this cache for others to find. This is my |find_count|**
Took us a while to zero in on GZ, but we eventually found the cache hidden away!
Thanks for bringing us to this splendid lookout.

Glad we made the detour up here! A must visit at an extremely well kept jewel of Mt Barker. Enroute and travelling west like a lot of folk on a multi mission. With more rain and blustery wind forecast for Mt Barker we stayed in town exploring further. It has proved to be a fab destination with plenty of history and sites to keep the muggle travellers entertained. TFTC and the FUN!
A quick find in between showers.
Really like the radio / TV tower - appeals to the engineer in me

Quick find with our muggle mates, after finishing our squats challenge for breast cancer while enjoying the view. TFTC
A quick find after an afternoon geocaching in Mt Barker, fantastic views thanks for the cache
After hearing today about all the ticks in this area I was a little cautious going into long grass.... but not for long. I was determined to get this one and I did. TFTC
Out and about again, exploring the Porongurup’s with the family - highlight was the Castle Rock Skywalk. Then went to West cape Howe winery, made our way back to Mt Barker via caches.
Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

A quick find on a caching detour from Albany to Mt Barker. Spectacular views to be had from GZ. Tftc
This morning TaurusSix and I started our day near the Stirling Ranges after a wonderful day yesterday. The weather is quite overcast and there has been overnight rain so everything is damp. Today the geocaching mission was to clear up caches around the Mount Barker and Kendenup areas before heading home the scenic route via Manjimup, Bridgetown and Donnybrook geocaching as much as practical. First though one of us realised last evening that we had lost or misplaced our glasses while geocaching yesterday. We thought back through the route and steps of the day and ascertained where we might have lost them. Thinking more by luck than management they might be easy to find we retraced our steps and the first place we looked there they were out in the open laying on the ground. Clean and wet from the over night rains otherwise unscathed. With such luck on outside we commenced our geocaching mission for the day.
This is our tenth cache find of the day and what a fabulous spot. We had actually just being to the very well stocked amount Barker Bakery and bought some supplies so decided to bring them up here to eat and take in the views. We were not quite prepared for the overzealous local magpies they were very keen on our food and were super confident in coming forward. Hence we retreated to the car. Once refreshments were had we set about finding the cache in this wonderful location. TFTC jasenjanine

Found on a freezing day on our WA adventure. Now that is a sky walk I can do. Earlier I attempted the Castle Rock Skywalk and failed near the bottom of the last ladder.
I fell over a stick on the way back to the car. Tftc.

I was visiting both the Eiffel Tower and Denmark all in the one day. I love this sort of international travel. This cache was an easy find. Love the view of Mt Barker from up here.
A challenge for the dicky knee brigadeBit great views from the lookout. Cheers and tftc
Such a fantastic spot. Wet day so not a clear view but we had fun finding the cache. Giles family
Well done, My Barker Rotary! This is a brilliant lookout with excellent interpretation. Without the cache we wouldn’t have discovered it! Thanks!
5/11/21 raining too much to enjoy the view must come back when finer thanks for bringing us here tftc
The difficulty of this cache certainly needs to be increased - we have not come across such aggressive magpies before. One of us had to run distraction whilst the other looked for the cache. After a short hunt the cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks jasenjanine for the cache.
Found it had to do a small detour as top track was fenced off with diggers there
Beautiful views from up the top of the hill. I think this is cache number 3 that’s been placed here over the years, and the location really does deserve one. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
On a trip to visit my dad in Mount Barker snuck out for a quick run. Stunning views and wildflowers. Tftc
Thanks for taking us to this scenic spot. I visited the previous cache here so it was a good excuse to come in take in the views again
Back in Albany for a week with the muggle wife and muggle in laws. Enrpute we stopped at the famous bakery here then a quick jaunt up the hill. A quick find here just as it was about to bucket down with rain and we were at cloud level. thanks for the cache jasonjanine - great spot but the view was somewhat impeded
Beautiful view and windy, cold. Found it and signed the log as EV and thanks for the cache and hunt.
Magnificent views.
Caching our way home from an enjoyable WAGB weekend.

Heading going after the long weekend. We dropped by to find this cache. There used to be a cache up here years ago and we remember our car would not start afterwards because it the electrical interference from the tower. We had to roll about 100m down the hill before the electronic system would function.
While here the magpies took a strong interest in us. Maybe it's baby season.
Cache was very old school. Perfect coordinates and an example of exactly where a cache should be placed. Far enough from the lookout and in a place that the average non geocacher would never look.
Thanks for the adventure.

The Better Half and I had an early start from Katanning today which meant that the first few caches were done in fog. This cache was the 20th cache we got to..
Cache found without problems once at ground zero, Log signed and cache returned as found.

The whole hill was shrouded in cloud when we arrived but it slowly cleared to reveal the beautiful view. Quickly found the cache in perfect condition. TFTC jasenjanine, definitely a favourite
Up until about half an hour ago, it’s rained non stop all day. It made for a very slow trip down south. We stopped here for lunch, no view whatsoever today but thankfully a cache. Much appreciated.
Headed down to Gnowangerup for the weekend, so grabbed a few geocaches on the way.
Took the scenic route and visited some friends near Mt Barker. Couldn't pass without visiting the bakery.
Dropped past this one for a quick find. TFTC

Thanks jasenjanine for placing and maintaining this cache. Great to have a new option. In Mt Barker
On the way home from Albany and had just completed a peak in the stirlings and a peak in the porongurups so a quick stop in at the Denmark bakery and then up the hill for a look here. Another place I’m certain I’ve been before, but always great to return.
Thanks JasenJanine.
Thanks JasenJanine.
