The Casuarina Trees are looking very healthy and we love the sound the wind makes as it blows through them. SL at 1.15pm #11,329 TFTC as we continue day 1 of our road trip north moonshadow98
Another nice one in the series and all in good condition. Canola looking wonderful! TFTC JohnoMawbs
Reperio 15:21Today the youngest and I were headed home to Orange from Nathalia, and as usual, we plotted out an alternate route with some interesting caches to do along the way. This was a nice quick stop here to find this one. Enjoyed driving through this countryside.Gratias moonshadow98As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Bulloak. A bit sticky. All good. Thanks for getting us to stop on our cycle Temora to Coolamon, enroute to Eurobin from Sydney after 2 months cycle tour in Taiwan
This was a quick find while caching around the Temora region. All good with cache and log. Some interesting signage here! Thanks.
A fun short holiday with friends caching further from home base than normal exploring and enjoying new locations. TFTC
Today we explored Temora and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. We enjoyed travelling through the countryside and visiting new, to us, locations. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
The last day on our short trip north to find some better weather. BettyBoo3747, the geodoggies and I are headed to Cowra and back. Today we started the morning around Temora, and headed homeward about lunchtime.
Interesting to read about the trees and their reasons.
It is a pity that such signs once put out never seemed to be maintained.
Thanks, Robmc.

#21019. Day 6 of a short holiday over the border in NSW with Robmc and the geodoggies. Our last day as we make our way back to Victoria via a few caches along the way. A lovely little break with great weather - so fortunate.
Such strange papers for log sheets. They were crumpled and creased so removed them and left a proper log sheet. This container is MICRO sized, not Small.

Out and about in Temora and surrounding areas for Australia Day. On my way to the cito in temora, but stopped for a few park a grabs on the way up. This was one of them. Strange place to put a sign if you ask me. Not so strange of a spot for a cache though. A quick find.
During the Boxing Day CITO clean-up, I slowly made my way down the edge of the highway cleaning up all the litter, before finding myself only a few metres from this cache! No... that wasn't planned at all!
Quick find one I was at the correct sign.... LOL
Thanks for the cache

Banding weekend at Charcoal Tank near West Wyalong and so had the day off. After domestic duties at home I headed north after lunch and took the slow route via Temora. Had some time for caches do targeted the ones in town before attempting the AdLab at the Lake and then after a final pit spot in town collected the other AdLab before heading to Ariah Park for a pub meal. One cache remains unfound (park was too busy) but I am certain I will be back.
After collecting a new Virtual in the Rock this was my first physical cache - have always been heading the wrong direction and this was an easy turn off today. After tromping through the mud I searched the wrong sign first and the cache was quickly found. Interesting log paper.

Found at 1:05 PM GAFF1 in the company of DiMorgan.
Saw the hidden sign about the trees - it may need to be moved now that the trees are getting a lot bigger.
Also saw a sign to say that there was a river there, but all we saw was a ditch with a little bit of water in it.
Thanks moonshadow98.

Thanks for placing this cache in an interesting area. Hint pointed us in the right direction! TFTC SL
The hint was spot on, once we followed the GPS correctly! Interesting spot with lots of grea info about what’s happening. And two for the price of one stop. What more could we ask for.
We have been on the road since the start of May, having delayed our departure from our home in Churchill, Victoria so we could get our first dose of Covid vaccine. Our first stop was Geelong, then up to Tumut to visit our son and his family. We must have known something was coming because we managed to enter NSW a week before the current Covid lockdown in Victoria-our lucky break. Of course during our travels we have managed to find a few caches. Over 1000 so far on this trip, with plenty more to come we hope. We are really enjoying discovering the little towns along the way. So many lovely places, often with grand buildings linked to a long history. Temora hasn’t disappointed us. There are grand buildings galore, so lovely to look at. Another link that has Mrs Ski smiling is the link to Paleface Adios. As a youngster my granddad was an owner trainer of both race horses and pacers. Gran would always place a small flutter on any pacer with Adios in its name, and she usually had reason to smile at the outcome.

Couldn't miss a CCE by JohnoMawbs as he makes such an effort to come to the Canberra regoin on a regular basis. So fitzy_1965 & I teamed up with albida33 and kittykatch for a great day of caching.
Time to start heading home....but caching on the way...of course!
Quick find here today.

The Anzac weekend consisted of two day trips for caching. Yesterday was CHALLENGE caches near Marulan. Today was a day trip to Temora for JohnoMawbs Community Celebration Event. I was joined by Kitty Katch, Fitzy_1965 and MinnieK. There were several other Canberra teams at the event and the other caches around town. We completed the series of DIFFERENT caches before the event and then set about the LAB caches around town. A hight of the afternoon after a fantastic CCE event was the journey to the two islands via kayak by AYKAYEM who made it all look so easy. We then headed home and did the LABS in Cootamundra before a dark arrival at home. What a great day.

On my way to an event near Temora, with Black Bunny. We thought we might as well just find a few caches while we were out and about.
Quick find. No issues. Thanks, Moonshadow98!

24,557. Found with minniek, albida33 and Kittykatch during our ANZAC Day trip up to the Temora region for a Community Celebration Event plus many other caches.
After packing up from a night at the Chateau Albida, kittykatch arrived and we headed off on today's adventure. After managing to survive the Different series and it's guardian killer mosquitoes, we grabbed a few other caches before heading off to the event itself. Once the wonderful event was finished and all the lake area caches found, we headed back to Temora to 'clean it out' (again). One by one we visited them all and one by one we found them all ! With our group looking it was a nice quick find. Signed the log (usually as MK KK A33 and F65), replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks moonshadow98 !!

TFTC. We had left Wagga this morning heading for Temora and a few nights camped before trekking further north for Easter. We stopped here at the rest area for a break and to find a couple of caches. Had no trouble finding the cache. Interesting reading the signs.
Quick stop on the way home from Dubbo. After almost walking face first into a massive orb spider I had finally found the cache after the 3rd sign I looked at. Getting hidden behind the trees as they grow.
Perfect cache for the “Wonders” Grand Canyon find.
TFTC, Cheers.

Out and about with baby&Mrs gopher gathering up some cache around Temora. We have been very Environmentally Friendly today, we started of with a CITO.
Another quick find after walking into a spider web with a large spider in it, not that scary unless you have Arachnophobia then you might have a problem.
anyways we found it, put on our signature, replaced it, took some snaps of the web, by now the rain was not to bad but a bit of mud around then back to the GeoMobile. Now onward and upward.
Thanks moonshadow98 for this cache

With a little time spare before my afternoon/evening commitments, I tagged along with JohnoMawbs to find this cache. A nice quick find at GZ and we signed in the Joint STF spot. TFTC and the fun, moonshadow98
P.s. I'm glad that we went to find this one before all the rain came as the area is now flooded.

Discovered these new caches just appeared. Had some time this afternoon while on uni holidays for a quick find before an appointment. Nice easy find. TFTC
Joint STF with swimmagurl. After receiving an email saying that there were new caches around. I took the chance to attempt the FTF as there wasn't any claimed finds on it. I asked if swimmagurl wanted to come along to find it as well given that we had a little bit of time to spare before our afternoon/evening commitments. After making the trip out we found the cache after a short search. This was our only find of the day. That's when we discovered that the FTF was taken hours ago. [:(!] That is a pet hate of mine, when Geocachers don't make known that the FTF is taken. I understand if it is less then half an hour but after then it should at least have a 'write note' log on the cache page with something as simple as: FTF taken. This is so I and others know if it is still worth going to find now or to leave it for another day. Thanks for misleading us, 3InOne... NOT. He did apologise though as I called him just after we found it. It was nice to visit this location again and now there are two caches at this location for Geocachers to find. TB visit. TFTC, moonshadow98
