Its always exciting when you are searching around any kind of infrastructure . You dont want to touch something in case an alarm goes off, but then you kick yourself if it is the cache.Mrs Woodyrothwell has a touch first, explain to the police second approach. Thankfully I had left her in the car and my approach is rule out everything else first before going to jail. tftc
My husband and i are Up from Brisvegas on a weekend away enjoying the sunshine and finding some caches along the way. Nice large cache with great swaps that my grandson would have loved. What a great day to be a geocacher. Thanks for all the fun.
While staying in Nanango for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , We just had to get out and find a few caches ...All Good .. TFTC ..
17/2/2024 Find #6852Fangsoki had planned an event at Cherbourg so along with a number of others, our small group of Fangsoki, pPrime, Captain Terror and I drove fromBrisbane to attend a rather enjoyable event. Once that was over however, it was time to make an indirect journey home. This one was flagged as one to stop for due to its nice size of course, so we drove the Canyonero up and stopped near GZ, very aware of the landowner nearby mowing. The cache was very quickly located, and we all concurred - yep thats definitely a large container! Thanks for the cache MeanduMob.
I was out today caching with Muggle65 and GreenGecko1. I had only had two caches on the list today. After the event we headed to this cache. lcoll112 thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.
Accio 11:34:45Found with mates afer an event up the road. Yep - that's a large! Thanks MeanduMob for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12121}*
Out with Muggle65, Brislions and DisSister for some caching fun today. Thank you for the fun
1MinnieMoo, Pprime, Captain Terror, and I were on our way back to Brisbane after attending the Cherbourg Event... we decided to drop in on this one.We parked up nice and close and hunted about. Pprime soon brought the beast to light and signed our names. It's always good to see a handsomely-sized container. TFTC MeanduMob
Today I'm out for about 10 hours of driving and geocaching through South Burnett and Cherbourg with Fangsoki, Pprime and 1MinnieMoo. We'd headed north from 06:00 up the highway, but after attending the event we were aiming for, we came home via Kingaroy and Nanango and arguably, a much more interesting collection of roads.Between the four of us, there's always a bunch of assorted geocaches to find. Likely already found by one, two or three of us. But hey, stopping and revisiting places is hard to argue with also. I had added this to our list for the stretch between towns. There's many, many out here that looks interesting and may well warrant a trip in the future, but I struggled to drive past a Large!Directions passed to the driver, we pulled up nearby and the structure was pretty obvious. Many eyes descended, and Mr. Prime hauled the beast out first. Like others before us, four hands were needed to coax it open, but everything inside in great condition (and nice way to look after soft swaps!). Names all signed at 11:35 and replaced as found. And a comment about we must be standing on the old highway. Thanks for this geocache, MeanduMob
Glad we found a better access point than the highway. We parked not far from GZ and wandered over to have a look at the old infrastructure. After a short search, the cache was extracted. Always happy to find one of these wonderfully sized caches. Thanks MeanduMob
Made our way up the little side road to GZ where the lovely large cache was found safely tucked away. TFTC
Without the benefit of satellite imaging, we might not have tried for this one, as we had parked on the highway side, not realising there was an alternative access road. As we pulled in, we slightly startled a technician working on the nearby water fluoridation structure as we passed by headed for GZ. The remains of the structure at GZ were interesting to inspect, and it fortunately didn’t take too long to find the very large geocache in here, although it was quite reach to extract it. It also took teamwork to get the lid off! Everything was in excellent condition, and after signing the log we looked around for the old road and the wooden bridge mentioned in the description, but we couldn’t really spot any bridge. TFTC, MeanduMob. =^.^=
Yay yay yay. Been wanting to do this one for ages. Love my turtle
Have taken the travel bug and will send it on its way. 3/7/23

Found with PapaGrouch. A nice quick find of another large cache. It's nice to be able to find these and increase my numbers of this size, there aren't many around where I usually cache. TFTC
Out replacing injured beetles today. Heading back and managed not to miss the turnoff to this slip road

Hi there MeanduMob, we found your cache Waterworks today.
Day four in Nanango. Yesterday was a great day geocaching, and today is looking to be the same if not better. sometimes we wonder how you find some of these weird and wonderful locations.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area and ended up finding quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Good.
Regards
Ian & Penny

We took a little turn-off from the busy highway and parked very close by GZ. This well placed cache was soon found and it’s another good hide.
Logbook signed and replaced as found.
Thank you.

Thank you.
Got this one to. Easy find if you park in the correct place unlike us who had to walk 120M beside the highway. TFTC
Stopping in Nanango for a couple of days, no need to rush to QOGM 22. Got into the caravan park early and set off for some caches. Some caches were damp, but understandably after the amount of rain the area has had. Great containers John and easily with standing the natural elements. Only one DNF on todays adventure.

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.
Day 13 - Staying in Nanango for a few days to catch up with family. We decided to go for a drive to Kingaroy to head to the peanut factory to later find out it is actually closed for tours. Damn Covid. But still liked checking out the place and picking up a few caches even visited the Peanut van when we had finished.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise mentioned.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the placements and keeping this hobby alive.

A lovely morning driving around the area picking up smileys and this is one we found. We parked close by GZ and had an idea where the cache might be and bingo! Another good hide from the CO. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for this one MeanduMob. Dropped TB. Another favourite!

With Aussiemates. Love these big cache containers. Had to be a little bit careful of the nearby house. Unfortunately didn't see either of the listed trackables. TFTC
Maintenance check today. Swaps replenished. All snug dry and bug free!! Cheeky pup was there to greet us!
The cache size here is certainly spot on. Definitely is a LARGE. Thanks for placing this one here for us to find. Chikinlittle and Mrs EMC climbed up and walked to this one. The others sat in the shade of the car. TFTC. No. 41-- getting closer to our daily target of 50.
At first we thought this ‘road’ was a driveway but found it wasn’t which enabled us to drive quite close. A quick find was made here and the cache was in good condition. Thanks for hiding the caches of yours around the area MeanduMob. We’ve had a great time finding them while visiting this area.
Cheers and happy caching!

Heading to Kingaroy from Crows Nest today and collecting a few along the way as well as some in Kingaroy. Thanks to the COs for taking us around your area and showing off some special places.
Out caching today while visiting the area. Decided to change some caches to yellow smiley faces. Thanks to the CO for placing the caches and taking to spots you would not stop and visit. Signed log and placed cache back where found. TFTC
Day 3 of our 3rd 'country onslaught' (in as many weeks) taking in areas such as Biggenden, Booral, Booubyjan, Cinnabar, Doongul, Dunmora, Gayndah, Ginoondan, Goomeri, Gooroolba, Hervey Bay, Kilkivan, Kinbombi, Manyung, Marodian, Maryborough, Memerambi, Moondooner, Mudlo, Murgon, Oakview, Pialba, River Heads, Sunshine Acres, Tansey, Tiaro, Urangan, Walliebum, Walligan, Wondai, Woolooga, & Wooroolin to name a few in no particular order ... just raise your hand & call out if we missed you!
#31 of 32 smilies added to our map today.
As is the norm we took the more difficult approach which required scaling mountains, cross-country bushbashing & risking life & limb, well, a somewhat watered down version at least.
A quick find once at GZ.
OMG!
That's massive ...
Liberated the TB which wasn't actually logged into the cache? [?]
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Spending a couple of days in Nanango to collect some more smilies. Found a difficult way into the cache and an easier way out as usual, the top took a bit of getting off but worth the effort. TFTC MeanduMob
Tftc, nice to see a "large" with plenty of goodies inside.
Discovered the 2 trackable here.

Continuing on our way this was our next stop and like many of the caches we have found on this trip we got a nice surprise to find such a large cache here. Great hide and TFTC MeanduMob
This was my 50th large container found...a fave pt for that and the clever hide. Thanks again, MeanduMob.
The Mega event is now over & our 1st stop is at Nanango
We found some amazing caches today the best I have seen in a long time.
The finds were mostly along backroads. It's always good caching in the country.
Climbed up the bank only to find a road that was close to GZ
Thankyou MeanduMob for placing this cache.

Well it's been a wild couple of days for us. Spent the day yesterday in Kilcoy and then returned today to try and replace our steps to recover my little zipper purse containing $300
Alas all was to no avail and it ended up being a very expensive trip.
I had seen a few new caches being published by the CO and thought - hmm wonder how long it will take for someone to find them.
Well after the misery in Kilcoy we decided why the hell not do a wee bit of a detour and attempt to get all four FTF - happy to say we did manage them all.
This one was so interesting being able to see the old set up. The cache is GREAT! MrGravel had to help with the opening and closing LOL
Thanks for placing caches in the area MeanduMob - feel free to wander ever closer our way lol (Crows Nest)
