Working through the series and this was next on the list. Some big cobwebs which I walked straight into. Yuck. But a quick find and back on the road. TFTC
After completing the Rural Safari yesterday, it was time for a leisurely Sunday drive through the back roads of country I had not cached in before.
A lovely drive around the country roads finding some of the caches in this series and this is one we found. All good here, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks HippyDonna & MrGravel for the cache.
A rare day where BlkThunder and I can spend the whole day together… so I proposed a nice country drive with Geopup India… to Dalby for secret caching business…
Having taken care of that we headed back towards home via Brymaroo, Kulpi & Oakey where I got to torture BlkThunder with my country road driving…

When Peppa suggests “would you like to go for a drive” I immediately start to worry… “drive” is open to interpretation…
So after a mad dash into Dalby I’m now being tortured with country backroads…
This was quick find while spending the day with Peppa and geopup India…

Out and about today to find a couple of caches.
I am only a couple of months (17 dates before the end of June) before completing a self made challenge of raising all of the dates on my 'My Finds' calendar to 16.
A quick find here today.
Thanks for the cache.

Another one that the crew who live further away had found before me... today I got my name in the log. TFTC!
Staying in Goomungee for a few days. The weather has been pretty cold and wet, the roads are damp and muddy. So what do you do, attempt to solve teh nearby puzzles of course. Alas there are far more than we can solve but the sun was supposed to be out today so a plan to convert some . The sun only came back out when we got back to camp.[8)].

Thanks for this one I will call it a fork. All is good with this one hiding in the bushes.
I met up with CuriousQuest to find a few caches out in the country from Toowoomba. Lots of trads, mysteries, some letterboxes and multis on the list as well as a virtual. Great variety of caches and hides. Some took longer than they should have to find, but most were quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Spent a lovely day out with Selva Girls in Toowoomba picking up a great mix of caches, with puzzles, letterboxs, multis and trads, hence the generic post. A bit of tree climbing involved with a few... and there were some good hides along the way, and even some quick ones too. Thanks HippyDonna & MrGravel for a good range of caches. Lovely countryside after rain to make everything look green again. TFTC
A traditional which we found on our adventure in this area over the weekend Geocaching with the team. This was a quick find and we added our name to the log.

With a 4 day weekend on the horizon, our dreams of one day collecting SSE, the Gravel Safari series and other caches in this beautiful area finally came to reality. My plans for day 1 were altered at the last minute, but I was very glad to be able to join this wonderful group of geo friends for a fantastic caching adventure from day 2.
This morning we hit the road and headed out to collect some great caches, saw some wonderful buildings, tunnels, trees, animals and had many many laughs.
The cache was found quickly, the log signed Team Grav which consisted of Simber15, chamad, NayFee, Triple Turmoil, Domksy and E_Smiley.
Thanks HippyDonna & MrGravel for a great series and for showing around this lovely country side.

After a day of collecting the SSE, a big group of us got together to collect the Gravel's Travels after a lot of conferring and puzzle manipulation. The puzzles were definitely the challenging part, the easier part was getting the names in the log. I am not sure why, but I seem to always go on big geocaching days on dirt roads, after a lot of rain, in my little Corolla. But we made it with a few close calls and laughs along the way.
A lot of effort has gone into these puzzles and hides, so thank you, HippyDonna. Due to the size our group, Team Grav was our signature so you wouldn't have to replace logs just after our visit!

Day two of our Oakey trip and a later start than usual.
We set off just after 9am and hit the trail, ughh.. Road? I don't know what to call it, but we travelled on it. Our main target for the day was the Gravel series than we slowly made our way north than south while collecting a bunch of caches along the way.
I have never ventured out this way before so it was a real eye opener, the towns, the farms, the flowers, the animals, you name it we saw it, well, maybe not everything because I was disappointed I didn't see an elephant, but you get the picture.
We certainly picked the right time of year as the Jacarandas were in full bloom and you wouldn't go through a town without seeing a bunch of them, absolutely stunning, it truely is an amazing tree and you can literally spot them from a mile away.
The team had an absolute blast and we thoroughly enjoyed travelling the open road breathing in the fresh country air, what more could you ask for? Well, a coffee shop perhaps since I went the WHOLE. ENTIRE. DAY without coffee and that is deadly, If i miss my daily caffeine goodness I become a terrible person and do bad things, other than that it was a very memorable day.
Thank you so much for placing this cache here for us to enjoy.

A plan was formed recently to camp at Oakey over the October long weekend (due to Ekka being postponed) and tackle the art and a number of fun puzzles in the vicinity. The call went out to a few others we enjoy travelling with and the solving began! Lots of back and forth between members and we finally had a full set a few days out from the trip.
The roads were wet and muddy but that isn't going to stop a group of dedicated geocachers on a mission! The rain held off which we were grateful for however chunks of mud were often shaken off shoes before returning to cars and moving on to the next one.
As is always the case when caching with others there were many laughs and a great time had by all. Always a great sense of achievement when you've been working through a project over a number of weeks.
Thankyou for placing and arranging this series for our enjoyment. The fields and flowers were in bloom. Birds a plenty enjoying the roadside water sources. The scenery was refreshing. Always enjoy a taste of the countryside. Logs signed as Team Grav (as in Gravel assault!)

Today, the plan was to go west for the day and join the Oakey evening event. I ended up catching up with domsky and E_Smiley in Crows Nest where we completed *Whisperings of Crows Nest* Adventure Lab, and we then proceeded to Cooyar finding a variety of geocaches around that town. After having lunch at the Cooyar Hotel, we took a trip out to Muntapa Tunnels, of which we all seemed to enjoy the history of the old railway tunnel. We returned back to Crows Nest where we had a chance to find a few more geocaches, and then parted ways, when I was able to able to squeeze in the *Ye Olde Crows* Adventure Lab. A journey to Oakey was made via a few of the *Gravel's Travel Safari* series, and after attending the event and having a few conversations, it was time to return back to Brisbane.
Given this geocache didn't require a solve and I was travelling nearby, I took a short detour past this traditional cache. I managed to make a quick find of this cache after a short search in the area, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. I did find some rubbish nearby too, and CITO-d this litter, taking it with me. Thanks HippyDonna & MrGravel for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Second one for the drive home, again a straightforward find. TFTC HippyDonna & MrGravel
I had the afternoon to myself so decided to take a drive and pick up a few solved puzzles and some other caches that helped with challenges. It was not the perfect caching weather though being overcast and very windy! It was still a great afternoon exploring areas I wouldn’t have otherwise visited. This was a great series and I enjoyed the drive on the country roads. In this weather I really appreciated the ease and good locations of the hides. Thanks for the great effort HippyDonna & MrGravel
Spending the day over near the Evergreen area collecting the rest of the Gravel Travel Safari and we chose a day of absolutely beautiful winter weather which showed off the countryside. Thanks HippyDonna & MrGravel for a great series - appreciate your time and effort.
Been out at Dalby for a few days and this was our last full day. Today doing a lot of the Gravels Travel Safari caches and a couple others. Found the cache and signed the log. TFTC CO
Monday. Today was a day spent with the very clever Mr OC. He did all the driving and I got to go where he turned the steering wheel. We ended up finding the must number of caches I’d found in ages, so my apologies for a generic log to the caches we found, as I simply won’t have enough time to write my usual individual logs. We had a very early pre-dawn start to the day and we ended up coming home in the dark. We had picked out several dozen caches and tried to collect as many as we could, starting at Toowoomba, heading west and the out to Bell, and came home through Wamuran. It was a cracker of a day and after a cold start, there was no wind, no clouds and just perfect temperatures. Re-visit to this cache as we’d found it previously.
Out on a massive day trip with Slow Puncture, leaving Brissie in the wee hours and heading up the range to Toowoomba, across the plains and out to Bell, returning via Yarraman. We're picking up our list of solved puzzles and any other interesting caches we pass by.
This one was quickly spotted once we entered the grove.
Find #11224 @ 10:08
Thanks HippyDonna & MrGravel for giving us a reason to visit.

Catching up on some logging today, so a bit of a generic log, I'm afraid. We were in Toowoomba for another BC Event yesterday.
Being a perfect day for caching, we decided to head towards the Western Downs LGA to find the Gravel's Travel Safari Series and other caches along the route chosen. It was a great day, and all caches were located easily with good coordinates and in good condition.
On the road again after our lunch break at Acland. Almost had to 'spoon' this one out of it hiding place. [:o)]
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 1.31pm on 21 June, 2021. TFTC, HippyDonna.

My husband and I decided to stay at Dalby for the weekend from Brisbane and fertilize the economy. We went to the show on Friday night and tried our hand at the clowns and other games to win a prize for our new grandson and ended up winning a tiny toy snake and pig. Was great fun. Today I dropped my husband at the races and I set off to find some smileys. Thanks to the hint i spotted this cache on approach. Thankyou for all the fun
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(Ha Ha). In your dreams, these cachers do.

Sunday. Pulling up to GZ a couple of cars came down the road so I made out like I was looking at something in the back of my car. I hoyed myself up into the really nice grove of trees. So lovely to be able to walk around some trees (watching out for the lovely variety of spiders in their webs) without having to navigate weeds or lantana. Always nice. Couldn’t find the container to start with and kept walking around in circles which has not been the case at all with this caches in this series. Found GZ and it looked good for a cache spot. Widened my search a bit and then found the container on the ground several metres away and half opened. Not sure what was going on there, so signed the log and replaced it back to where I’m pretty sure it should have gone and covered it over. Lovely spot in here.
This was the 8th of 13 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***HippyDonna*** for showing us this place

I'm tired of the city life
Summer's on the run
People tell me I should stay
But I've got to get my fun
So don't try and hold me back
Ain't nothin' you can say
Snake eyes on the paradise
And we got to go today …
***Got to go CACHING that is & escape the ratrace!***
We got an early start & headed to Drayton with plans to clean up on a few AdLabs & Bonuses up thru Toowoomba, Highfields & Cabarlah then sweep up some of the Gravel's Travel Safari, & a few other random caches, before bedding down for the night in a cabin at Yarraman Caravan Park.
#45 of 53 found today.
Nice quick find after we drove back & forth past GZ about 5 times!
Lost focus for a few moments!
Made our mark & replaced as found.
