We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some Adventure Labs, and accumulate enough cache finds for this month’s "Wheel of Challenges" easy & hard souvenir chase. Photos will be uploaded to some (most) logs on our return to home base.
Today (day 1) we travelled out to Vineyard, going via the M2 Motorway from Delhi Road North Ryde to Old Windsor Road Seven Hills, then through Parklea, Quakers Hill, Schofields and Riverstone to reach the accommodation. Collected numerous Traditional caches, some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, and one MultiCache, that we passed along the route. This was the 2nd of 20 finds for the day (day 1), and 2nd find of the holiday.
This letterbox hybrid cache was next, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ, after ducking into the scrub. Applied the code to the generously sized post box and soon had our hands on the logbook. Stamped & signed the log, TNLN, and then replaced as found. Didn't see the TB that's in the cache inventory. Glad we are on the cache side of the fence TFTC goingplaces2.

I believe this is my first letterbox geocache. Took a while to find a way in. Daylight would have been easier! Found with Steph-W1
Did it at night so was abit hard to get through the bush but found it after alittle while.
Dropped the trackable.
Find it and sign the log as EV, and thanks for the cache and hunt.

#6766- Gotta love a letterbox cache, and a great big one at that. This one felt like a mountain cache, right in the suburbs. A quick find with thomo31 while nested behind the trees with passersby not far away, oblivious. A favourite from me. Thanks
Found It!
A quick find here before the nearby event. A well built cache!

GeoIan and I were early for a nearby CITO so decided to find a few caches in the area first. This was our first find and a nice surprise to find such a large cache. Thanks for the cache goingplaces2 tnln replaced as found sl
In the area for a Cito / Bush Care event with Mighty Minions, and grabbed a few before the event. This was a quick find. Nicely constructed container. TFTC.
Today was lovely for cycling and caching. One can cover so much terrain on a bicycle, and it's generally easy-going most of the way. I clocked up 45 km today, with a few caches thrown in to make things a bit more interesting.
I noticed there is a different fence one should also not try climb, lest one has to stay at the retirement village. Isn't that an interesting place to put the village: right next to a correctional facility!
Anyway, I digress. I entered the area (outside of the prison) via the many paths and tracks that are to be found in the bushland. My phone isn't great for navigation; often the compass points in the wrong direction. However, I was a bit lazy and didn't feel like hauling out my dedicated Garmin GPSr for the task; I thought I'd just try wing it initially with the phone and some instincts. I was lucky and spotted something obvious.
There were two little geckos/lizards in the nice outer container. I tipped them out and then retrieved the inner container with the logbook. Now my name is inscribed there, too. All put back as found, but I added a bit more of the natural camo to hide the outer container a bit more ... it had been only partially concealed when I found it.

Today i finally avenged this dnf that has been sitting on my map for so long, seems like every time i came i was looking in the wrong place. Sadly pen ran out of ink.
Out with [@trodectus](http://coord.info/PR8JTE0) and decided to have a go at this one on the way home. Parked nearby and approached via torchlight. Cache found and opened with required code. Log signed and returned. TFTC
Found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H) . We were on our way back to C's and decided to take a detour and try for this one. It was dark when we arrived at GZ, but using a torch and phone we spotted the hide after a brief search. We didn't have trouble getting to the log, which was signed and stamped. All replaced and we continued on our way. TFTC.
Decided on a quick one today. Did not disappoint due to it's generous size! This cache is placed within 80m of my second ever cache. Ohh the memories.

Found this with a friend as I was taking her to some caches around the neighbourhood, to introduce her to more geocache types! Thanks for the hide!
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Well hidden.
I needed, well wanted a cache find for this calendar date to up the number of finds so I chose a cache which was published yesterday. That way I could visit my mother's old friend, old as in years (90s) and old as in life long friends. She lives in Nor-West.
When I'd found that cache I was thinking about how to get to her place and realised I wasn't far from Parklea and this Letterbox cache was near there. So a short detour and I was parking the geomobile not far from GZ.
Now this turned out to be a challenging find - started raining as I walked away from the geomobile, flooded 'path' towards GZ, huge ant hill with very busy ants running everywhere, tick bushes all around.
Still one must push on to make the find!
Found the camo no problem - OK one of those, I usually don't have much luck with them but this time the lock opened really easily!!
An extra find for the date and now off to visit my old family friend.

I've not found a *Letterbox* before at a mini-milestone, and thought that the recently published one at Parklea (Prison) would fill the bill.
After attending matters close to home I continued on and was soon looking for parking close to GZ. Decided on a spot in a nearby side street.
Found a way in - to the cache not the prison (never been to one and have no intention to start now) - and almost evaded the guards - ie spider webs.
Quickly spotted something likely, and made my way there. Gotcha!
Quickly opened it, and completed signing duties.
Replaced and out of there before I'm there too long. Far too long.
Took a different way back to the street - straight through a big web. Grrr.
More things to do.

Sydney Feb 21 Trip. Day 2. I joined Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and Tankengine for a weekend trip to Sydney to attend a few Community events and do as much caching as possible. We started with a puzzle series at Quaker's hill in light drizzle. There was then mixed caching and the first event at the Ponds. We headed into town after that and caught up with a bigger contingent of Canberra caches for dinner and a lap of Darling Harbour for caches there. It all got a bit late but it was a great day.
Despite the rain, we met up with some other cachers here. This cache went smoothly, but we were able to seek some help for a nearby multi.

This was the fourth of 6 finds for the day. After finding ‘Hedwig’, Mizmaz and I joined Martin Cousins and Celtical to find this cache. I haven’t found many letterboxes so it is good to add to my tally when possible. The geotrail appeared and we had to navigate some mud and wet grass underfoot but the cache was easy to spot and quick to unlock. SLTNLN. TFTC.

My first solo cache find, many years ago, was along this fence line. On that occasion I interrupted other cacher’s retrieving the hide as I approached. Today, a new smiley in the area again attracted a lot more finders before, during and after the nearby CCE judging by the logbook. Hope the wardens don’t think it a role call for a mass break-out!
After attending the nearby Community Celebration event hosted by the CO duo, I then came over to this cache to check it out! Parked nearby and followed the fenceline to GZ, and after a short look around I spotted something suss a few more metres back towards the road in the middle of the scrub I had come through!
The cache was then located, and a small amount of research was done to unlock it. I was thankful it wasn't one of those locks that required more complex thinking to open, as I have been frustrated by letterbox locks in the past and not being able to work out the code!
Well done, a great little cache, thanks!

Chooo ooo [found] - with Fitzy65 minniek and Albida on a Sydney caching trip to attend some Celebration Events with a whole bunch of other Canberra cachers - Thanks goingplaces2!
We took a break from the CCE to make a quick drop by the prison to break into the log. Along with geodog Zelda, we made quick work of the prize. Of course, it wouldn't be a day out caching for me not to go home without some sort of injury. Somehow I managed to poke a branch into my ear and had blood all over the place. Surface wound actually! 23,702. Found with minniek, Tankengine and albida33 during a Sydney weekend run attending some Community Celebration Events and generally having a caching good time.
We headed up the Hume this morning with the Quakers Star series in our sights before attending the first of three Community Celebration Events over the weekend. My thanks to my caching companions which made it a memorable trip. After finishing the Star we continued along cherry picking caches until the event was due. This was the next stop of the day. We knew we were in the right spot when two shifty looking blokes came out of the bushes with GPSs in their hands ! Quick find at GZ. Signed the log (mostly F65 MK TE and A33 to save space), replaced the cache as found, then headed on to the next one on the list.

There was a cache near here about 13 years ago and the area has certainly changed with the trees growing so much. Came here with Brewmaker and saw Mr mal parking his bike. Dived into the deep green bushies and Mr Mal spotted the cache first and guided me into GZ and it was than that Brewmaker decided to take out a tree with his ear. Ouch! That would’ve hurt. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

I had 10mins to burn before the nearby event started, so I parked the bike near GZ as dkmacca and brewmaker approached on the footpath. Good to meet you brewmaker, nice to put a face to the name. We made our way in, brewmaker taking out a branch (or the other way around) as we neared GZ, spotting the cache through the trees. dkmacca reached the cache first and had it unlocked faster than we could blink. With the paperwork done, we headed to the event. TFTC!

I'm on a mission to get my letterbox finds to 100 this year so I was very happy to see this one published. Unfortunately Tardis and I were still caching in the Richmond area when we saw the notification. However, I had plans for some retail therapy at Marsden Park on my way home and this was more or less in that general direction. There were already a list of finders in the logbook by the time I got here but always enjoy finding a largish cache in the bush especially with a little twist as well.

I got the notice for this newly published cache while i was at work today. I knew that there was no way it would still be unfound by the time i finished for the day but i decided to come grab it anyway.
The GZ is in a nice quiet spot and it didn’t take me long to find the cache once i had finished walking straight through a spiders web.
Thanks.
