Today we have had a big caching trip to Port Sorrel looking for as many caches as we could find in my quest to get to our next milestone by the end of November. Weve got no chance but definitely have no chance if we dont even try. As most caches required shanks pony our numbers were limited to around 30 finds for the day along with 3 dnf. Our primary focus to begin with was the 4 low tide caches all of which were successfully found. We then spent a while at Squeaking Point before a walk along the main trail near Hawley Beach. Thanks mainly to Spreyton and Angus88 for the bulk of our finds and of course to all the other hiders for adding enjoyment to our day. I walked 20,000 steps and 15km.Great little reserve to walk around. All good at GZ TFTC
Thanks for the Cache Find#266Find(GCA)#5Find (Total)#271Search/SL Time=<30S/15Device= S24 (Exynos)Finders NoteAdded ziplock bag. Tree branch in a tree nearby.
After wearing GeoCleo out walking, swimming and running around the coastline finding all the Squeaking Point Track caches, I left her to have a nap in the back of the Ute while I wandered off into the bush to find these caches.TFTC Spreyton22Keep smiling
A beautiful spring day for a lovely stroll through the bush. Our 1st find for the dayTFTC
Making the weekend a 5-day weekend it's nice to get outside and find some caches on such a nice day. All caches in this area were easy to find a good area for people that are starting off with caching as most of them are on the larger size,
Thanks, Spreyton 22 for placing their caches for our enjoyment,
This cache was an Easy find

This is a lovely path to walk but does give me snakey vibes! A lot of pine trees around this cache making it a lovely pine needle floor to walk on! Cache in good condition thanks for the find!
Out and about caching with all the Rafas for our holidays TFTC TNLN log dry, an easy find at GZ.
Thanks for the cache Spreyton22.
RLD4963, the two GeoGSP's and I were visiting Port Sorell for a few days r&r. This is another reserve which had had half the number of caches last time we visited Port Sorell, so today we were back to find the new ones.
All the ones we found today were straightforward finds.

Did the others in this series recently. Returned today to finish off the caches in Squeaking Point.
Having already done #5 we decided to park at the end of Pademelon Drive and access the track for this one and #7 from there.
As we pulled up the rain got heavier so Mr Beetle waited in the ute while I grabbed the umbrella and headed off. The track to this one was relatively clear and the cache was quickly located once at GZ.
Thanks.

We decided to use a leave day to do some caching in the Squeaking Point area after doing some of the Port Sorell caches recently. A beautiful day for strolling around in the bush, not too hot. We saw a few other people out and about as well, nice to see that these tracks get used. This cache was a quick find with the aid of accurate coordinates. TFTC

Continuing my search for recently published caches in the area I decided to do the walk in the conservation area. The cache was quickly located.
Another incredibly marvellous autumn day left little option but to go on a caching expedition at Squeaking Point. New ones have popped up since we were last here, so plenty of pay dirt on hand. This one was also quickly in hand, and true to its descritive hint. TFTC #6 Spreyton22.
With Easter off from work, it was a good opportunity to try and close the gap on my target for the year. 500 finds for the year is the target, and this run brought me up to 230 odd, so only 3 months in I am on track for this target.
The highlight (and hardest part of this day) was the walk out to the cache Lieu-Pine-Ner at Point Sorell. The walk was challenging due to the number of rocks being very uneven. I was hoping 2 hours, but in the end it took 3 hours. Geo Kid O was still going strong at the end, but it had taxed me.
Thank you for placing this cache and maintaining it.
A great collection of caches in this area

In the late afternoon we decided to head to Port Sorell to look for some caches that had been published recently. As we approached this location, our GPS took us to the left(eastern) side of the track. However, there was nothing at or near GZ which matched the hint. We saw a fence on the western side of the track and soon found a location consistent with the complete hint. It took a few minutes of hunting, but we eventually located the cache but it was 18m to the West of the published coordinates. The cache and contents were in good condition. We took a number of readings of the coordinates and the average was S41 12.481 E146 33.694. A check of the coordinates by the CO is strongly suggested. Thanks Spreyton22 for the cache and others you have placed in the area.
Joint FTF with GeoMaggie2. Had to chase snake from pathway. Thanks SPREYTON22. Lovely bush walk. With Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Loved the snake. Joint FTF with Angus 88. Thank you for the cache from GeoMaggie and her sidekick Bonnie. Quite an experience after Angus 88 was talking about snakes
