Out with my sister and Little Goat for a walk and some cache hunting. This seemed like a good place to start to pick up a few for the cosmic quest while also grabbing some letterboxes I hadn't finished previously. My sister grabbed this one for me while LG and I were supervising. Thanks for the cache!
Took a little longer than a couple of others but made the find within a minute or two. TFTC!!
Nice place for a cache, our caching mate found this one, he was far too quick on his feet for us to beat him.TFTC TNLN
Mr Moose's first find of the day.... he did scrabble around for a bit as we were directing him
For a day out we decided to head to the Creswick area for a bit of sight-seeing with a couple of friends and of course, tackle some caches. The walk around the lake seemed like an obvious place to start. This was the first cache "we" found (i.e. my mate was assigned "the finder" while "we" looked on and told him to hurry up as "we" were cold and hungry!)TFTC
Currently staying at the timeshare resort in Kyneton. After a few days of Family engagements, today we had a free day and headed to Creswick. Our first stop was Lake St George where we completed the loop walk around the Lake picking up the caches along the way. The place was pretty much deserted today apart from some Parks Vic staff working in the distance. It was Mr Pooky who spotted this cache from afar. What a quaint little bridge on a great walk around the Lake. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find on our travels. TNLNSL.
Ran into some other cachers that had just returned the cache. Sent Mr 8 down to get it.
That was an ordeal scooted under to find it laying on the ground. Back on the screw now tftc
Find No. 4658. Found with FUF009 at 11.25amTogether with FUF009 we went down to Creswick on Easter Saturday caching. Before walking around the lake today we had a cuppa and eats on the seat - such a lovely spot but we coudn't spend too much time there as we had caches to be found. There were others walking the track today but luckily they we well ahead of us when it came to finding this one.Quickly found it and replaced before anyone else came along.TFTC feathertop
Find # 14404Found with Tyred n Cranky.A day spent down around Creswick picking up the odd cache or more.Last day of last year, we parked at the carpark of this lake and rode the Wallaby and Goldfields Track. We were a little worn out to walk around here back then. But today we had this walk on our "to do" list. At GZ we started at the wrong end of the bridge, but still a quick grab. TFTC feathertop
Visiting mountainmik today and he brought me to this wonderful location! Thank you for placing this cache series. There's some really nice spots on this side of the lake
Logging now as a beta tester as I was with the CO when this series was placed..
Wow wow wow the lake with the mist made for a magical start to my morning walk. My searching skills were not so magical.. persistance and a systematic seaech, and l eventually found this cache.
Just as i fished out this cache a bloke came running along the path and caught me red handed. I stammered a greeting and he gave me a strange look then said hello. Geocaching? He asked as he went past, then gave a laugh, caught you there didnt i! I found this one as part of a spur of the moment drive down to the area. I had a long conversation this morning about global warming, el nino, drought and fire risks and was left feeling down and anxious. I sat at home and worried for a while before deciding to get outside for some exercise in nature. Great therapy i reckon. I checked out my geocache map looking for a place to walk in the bush and not be too challenged. These caches and the area in general fitted the bill so the geopooch and i set off in the early afternoon. A bit late but still plenty of time to find some caches. The rolling green hills, babbling creeks and verdant forests were just what i needed today. I left earplugs as swag in most of my finds, just in case the serenity here isnt enough for someone. I ended up with twenty one finds and one DNF. Thanks to all the COs for my fun afternoon.
Out for a drive on this nice spring day and we went for walk to find the cache great little spot

I thought I would escape the city and spend a few days in the Creswick region, obviously finding the local caches.
Staying at the RACV resort so time to explore the local area.
It was a little wet today but still managed to get out and about, found 15 adventure labs and 9 other caches including a letterbox..
I had a great adventure finding these caches.
Had a lovely stroll around the lake, even though it was a bit muddy.
Thanks for the cache and the hide

I had a good idea where this one was going to be but getting there was going to get me very muddy. Still, I found a way and I came back with a muddy bum but I did not fall down!! I am impressed with myself. Thanks for the adventure. I really enjoyed this series.
*Found on the 1 Jul 2023 @ 3:21 pm.*
*Cache find # 14816.*
While I was in the area, I had a look for this one, I took the short cut to this one, straight down from the road, once I was at the right level at GZ, the cache was soon spotted, the log was signed and I then headed back up to the car.
**Thanks to feathertop for placing this cache.**

Suscoe headed to Creswick after the Maker Magic event this morning in Ballarat.
We decided that we would have an after lunch wander around Saint George's Lake.
It was fining up which was appreciated and we even got some sunshine. The track was still holding water from the recent rain and the boots got quite wet at times.
We enjoyed the views along the walking track.
Thanks to Feathertop for this hide.
We enjoyed the walk and were glad that we had taken the time to explore this walking track.
A favourite for the tour of the north side of the lake.

Fourth and last find on a pleasant walk in the company of deanside and Robmc.
This time, Robmc did the honours after we guessed (correctly) where the cache would be hanging.
Thanks, feathertop, for a fine excuse for a lovely walk, and to my companions for inviting me to walk with them.

After the Maker Magic event we (Deanside and I) completed the series of letterboxes.
At the third last one we met up with Nirgalagrin, and organized to meet again at the Lake.
From here the three of us walked the St George's Lake circuit.
All our GPSrs said further around the bridge, but after going under I found this was not the case.
We continued across the dam wall to complete the circuit.
Thanks for the Event and all your caches today.
Thanks, Robmc.

Thanks feathertop for placing this cache along this lovely trail and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Found in the company of two other cachers so it was a great day. Happy trails, Deanside
Found this while on a Rogine in the are. Great location , peaceful. Glade it was dry. Thanks for placing it.
Can't see that GZ location from the car, but once down the hillside a bit, it all came together and with the dry weather, the cache was quickly spied and the log signed Another puffing exercise back to car and all was good.
Thanks for this one feathertop.
Thanks for this one feathertop.
Found safe and sound at 12:35pm, not such a raging torrent over this way it seems. My first time circumnavigating the lake on foot, thanks for the reason to! SL TFTC
We are quite sure there are more boardwalks than our last visit here some years ago. Very useful they are to keep us high and dry. SL at 12.35pm Left: turtle. A very pleasant walk around the Lake with friends. #9418 TFTC feathertop
Nice to get yet another around this lake. Done a few laps around here over the years but may not do many more since our son has sold up and is moving a bit further away.
Thanks Feathertop. Nice to get another one of yours.

I planned a hike with my Cubs Scouts at St Georges Lake. Mr Fergzter handed me the GPS as we left and said that there were 4 new caches we hadn't found at the lake. So now we had a navigation activity as well as a mushroom hunt to keep us busy. Cubs enjoyed the challenge of finding the caches and learning to use the GPS. Thanks heaps for the cache. Mrs Fergzter.
An opportunity to walk the dog and grab a couple of caches on such a lovely autumn day was too good to pass up. TFTC
Having a few days of caching around the Ballarat and Creswick areas. I seem to have forgotten to consult the weather gods as its damp and drizzly and super cold. I’m well rugged up and having a great time. A lovely walk along this lake edge 'goat track'. Onceat the bridge this was an easy find TFTC Feathertop
Another one just hanging there swinging in the breeze. This one’s dry.
Replaced out of sight.

Out for a walk with Shumba7 collecting some caches. Thanks for bringing us to the track around the lake. Picturesque today. And popular.
TFTC this was was there but no access to water so all good. Found with Algae and the geodogs that are so excited to be walking around.
Find #2598 for me. Found at 9:39am with my dog Bonnie. This was another quick find for me. Although there were others walking around the lake (most with dogs), nobody passed by while we were at this one for which I was grateful as it would have looked a little suss. Another great location along the SGL walk. Thanks so much for bringing us here today feathertop. I'd found caches here previously (series now archived) so it was nice to see some new ones placed to highlight this wonderful little walk. Bonnie also loved the walk! Thanks for the series and the cache!
The last of these SGL caches for me and a good track too. Thanks for the caches feathertop.
Nice little walk to find this cache managed managed score of 600 on the little game inside Unfortunately it was a tie with Alexikatty Tftc
Back to this area today to sign the log. This time I took the 'cross country' approach rather than the scenic route. A lot less slippery too as the day was much milder than my last visit. I was certainly a troll today! Thanks feathertop, this is a great spot. I'm looking forward to visiing again to find the other caches.
Made the find with McLookers today, we felt like little trolls!!!!!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the walk to gz , so nice to be out in the fresh air. Thank you feathertop for placing.
Out for the day with the Jackos exploring the Creswick area.
By late afternoon we had explored some forests and now opted for a walk around St George's Lake. Quite a few people out enjoying the sunny weather on a cool day.
Aysen made the retrieval here while we egged him on from above. Sometimes those are the privileges which adults have .
There was strangely ring-barked tree near GZ - looked quite unusual. Would be interesting to find out why it is done (if not vandalism).
Thanks for the loop series, feathertop.

There are a number of things one can do to keep kids interested in geocaching.
-Avoids nanos. Too small, too hard to find, no swag. Regulars, with swag are perfect.
-Avoid concrete jungle suburbs caches. Typically a Micro inside a guard rail isn't usually fun.
-Pick scenic spots, where there happen to be animals.
-Add a bit of adventure. Climbing under bridges is good fun for a 5yo.
-Make it a nice walk, so the whole family can enjoy.
Thanks for a great series. A FP for the experience.

Quick find on the slippery wall today.

Lots of muggle traffic here. Had to wait until the muggle dog and owner passed before accessing the cache.
Thanks feathertop

wondered out with boydclan and the geodog to add a few local to the collection. Had to wait for muggles to pass to find this one.
This lake is always fun to walk around thanx for the new hides.

Finally got to venture out with dehands today to add a few smilies to the map. Despite the overcast day, it was a lovely walk around the lake. TFTC
With a group of bushwalkers, one of whom spotted it from the bridge before I did. But I was the one who had to leave the track to retrieve and sign it! I did look for the boardwalk one later, but my friends didn't want to wait for me. I'll be back to get the other three SGL caches.
A morning walk with the dog was needed so I decided St George’s was looking good. A nice wander around here on a glorious day. All caches were found without too much effort. It really is a lovely spot. Thanks for placing these caches.
Scrambled to hide after spotting it. Unfortunately not as nimble as i once was meant it took a little longer to resecure it.
*Staying in Creswick for a few days*
Today I decided to head out and clear up some of the local caches and take some photos. A beautiful time of year with all the trees in colour and everything lush and green... A lovely day to be out and about having most of the areas to myself
A bit of a stroll, a bit of a search, made the find, stamped log and replaced again.
My sincerest thanks to feathertop for the cache. Appreciate your efforts.
**Warning**, *this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun*.

After a great 12km walk on the Goldfields Track with 2beez we were back at our car drop off point and ready for lunch.
Last time we were here the previous caches were archived so it was great to see this new loop out. Of course we were doing a loop after lunch.
This cache was easily spotted as it was out laying on the ground. Signed and secured back.
Thanks feathertop for placing these. Nice size hide.
