**S 20 42.485 E 139 31.039****Preform attached to the survey marker on other side of track **Photos attached.Confirmed a while ago that this one was missing.Left it until today to replace it.Now a preform tethered to the star picket with a rock cairn covering it.Nice afternoon walk starting out in 31degree heat.Ended up walking over the 3 peaks walking back down in the dark with no torch. The crazy stuff I do.Walked about 4-5kms all up for the evening.Cheers.
We arrived at the bottom turn off and took a moment to consider all options, walk the 800 mtrs or drive. We decided to drive. We used it as a 4X4 training activity, working how to switch on and off the 4x4 function in the LC300. MANAGED to get up and back without any issues. Fav point for the 4x4 lesson. Thanks wicksy1770 for the caches.Total Cache Finds 14947,
Day 20With the QOGM event now over it was time to head up to Mount Isa to a town we had never visited before bringing us higher in Queensland than we have ever been before. Our aim is to do some solved puzzles, multis, the virtual, labcaches and some older trads, not to mention sightseeing. We are really enjoying our stay here in Mount Isa, lots of caches, lovely sunsets, unique landscape and the spring wildflowers are amazingly different to ours in Victoria.Another day of caching with the object of getting 15 more finds to help qualify for the local challenge cache. The 4WD made it up easy on the rocky road but once at the top it took awhile to find. We ended up finding it at a different host to the given coordinates, 9 metres north. Thanks wicksy1770 for the placement.
Wow wow wow, what a view, we drove most of the way up and walked the last 100m, we were surprised at us for a quick find and loved the view, thanks for placing it
Hiked up with my little monster, stopped and had a picnic halfway up….. amazing
Exploring Mt Isa today we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
A great drive up the hill and excellent views were had from here. Caches and contents were very good as well as the co-ords.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

What a great walk up to GZ!. The light, cool breeze meant that although the sun was shining we did not get too hot.
It’s great to have another view and another perspective of this town.
So many birds of prey circling above us as we walked today.
We found this one quickly with its accurate coordinates.
Thanks wicksy1770

This is day 2 in Mount Isa with the plan of finding as many caches as we can in the time we have here. The three main goals for tis visit was the Adventure labs. The MCT Bison series and GCGNEG Comet Moon.
We really enjoyed the drive up to this one and were able to park just metres from where the GPSr told us we should be searching. First we took a couple of pictures of the totally contrasting views each way and then started our search. After about 10 minutes we were starting to think that we may not be able to get this one when Diane moved off to a slightly different area and found the cache immediately.
The GPS gods must have been playing up today as we found the cache about 12 metres off from gz but that doesn't matter as long as you are able to add your name tot he log.
Many thanks for showing us the real Mount Isa view.

It’s amazing to be up here! Feels like we re on the top of the world thank you for the work out too
Our plan today was to climb to the top of as many hills as we could manage before our legs gave out.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log are in good shape.

Staying in Mount Isa and after after a day of rain yesterday headed out to grab a few caches in the area. I found a variety of caches and this was one of them.
I'd followed the in car GPS for this one and it took me into the bronx and wanted me to go offroad through someones house! So I used another app and headed for another cache first and then decided to do the drive rather than the walk. After yesterdays rain I wondered what the track would be like around the corner. It wasn't too bad and I managed to make my way to the top with only the last section needed a bit more care.
I parked nearby and enjoyed the view before locating the cache.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Full time nomads heading to Birdsville for the Big Red Bash. Woo Hoo!
Today we headed out to attempt a few more caches around town. Cold today we had jumpers on all day. Weird as it was quite warm a few days ago when we arrived.
Nice to take the GeoCruiser to GZ. Mrs F made the find. Great spot for a cache. Fave point for bringing us here.

SJG66 and I spent a few days in Mt Isa, checking out the area and fitting in a few caches. Thanks to all the local CO's.
As I was in a 4wd I took the opportunity to race up to this vista in the afternoon.
Happy to be back in Mt Isa and happy to find plenty of new caches around just waiting to be found.
Quite sure I have found a cache up this hill once before always good to come back to a good spot.
Thank you for hiding this geocache wicksy1770
