TFTC. A bit of huffing and puffing to get to this one. Its a magnificent day for caching now back in the road traveling to Tunnack today.
Nice and easy one once at GZ. A little bit of an uphill hike in though but nice. Thanks for this one. Grabbed whilst I transit from Launnie to Hobart for work. TFTC
On our way up to Launceston from Hobart today, we had to stop to use the bathroom. We stopped here and used the not great toilets then realised there was a cache! We went up the hill to get it and it was quickly found at GZ. A nice little area right off the highway, if you dont count the toilets! TFTC ShannonPC!
Returning from Simmons Plains this afternoon, and my son said there was a cache at St Peter's Pass. So we stopped for a look. A bit of a climb, but not too far, and the cache was quickly spotted. All good at GZ TFTC
No idea why this one didnt show up on my list yesterday but luckily I had to drive past again today so was able to stop. After an uphill trek the nice sized cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Stopped here after playing footy in Burnie, to ride the rooster. Once was another cache up the hill here somewhere. It's still is always a good spot for a quick stop and stretch of the legs. JABs
Nice spot to stretch our legs. Some cute swaps inside. Scrambled up but found an easier path on the way back down. TFTC
Well, that was a bit of a hill climb to get to this location. Nothing like a little bit of fun to get a stretch and do a healer tutoring today. Thanks for the fun!
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Out meandering around these roads picking up a few hides along the way. This was one that was found. An easy enough find at GZ.Thanks ShannonPC for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Must have been a bit slow getting out of Hobart and heading back to the north west. So we've only got as far as Brighton and its already time for coffees at the bakery. Not too bad either ! Then after several caches around there, we headed north again.. But Hey ! its getting on for lunchtime, and there is another cache which we drive by all the time at St Peter's Pass. So, have a brew up, make lunch and go for a stroll to collect a smiley. All good at GZ ....... except for the silly plonker who thought it was good idea to leave a sticky lolly as swag. So beware ! Thanks for the cache ShannonPC
What a lovely location and a great way to break up a long drive. Thanks for the cache.
Have driven past here many many times and always think to stop, but always on the way to somewhere. Today I'm in no real hurry to be anywhere. Nice little walk up the hill to a good size cache. Nice rest stop too. Thanks ShannonPC
This and [Half Way House] have been green boxes on my map ever since i moved here to Tazzie (9 Feb 2021) but as from today they will join the Yellow Smiley's List along this road
Parked in the car park below and began my ascent to the hide, which i am happy to say was dry as, seeing this area hasn't seen much rain at all and today was a 19oC day with a dry NW wind.
{No soaking wet shoes after walking through wet grass} [^]
Found the hide after a bit of a bearing issue which had me darting this way then that ha ha
A neat hide covered well was found and its dry log was signed at 12:39 on Tuesday the 29th of August 2023.

Thanks Shannon pc for helping me stretch my legs and exercise while finding the cache. Oh and for showing me where the toilets are. Lovely park.
Found it with Geo Maggie. Could not get it under 7 m until I moved away from the rocks. Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook page. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Travelling with Angus 88. After a bit of a scramble and whatever manage to find this geocache. Thanks for this geocache
TFTC
But there was a ton of jolly ranchers which made the cache generally sticky still good cache tho

Found while on a brief stop on my way to Hobart. Thank you for an excuse to g for a walk in the area.
Just stopped here for a quick break on my way to Devonport. I actually only wanted to look at the creek, but of course ended up looking for a cache. I didn’t bring a pen, but took a photo of the logbook.
Thanks for some extra leg stretching ShannonPC!

Brr.. was a bit late in the day and the warmth had gone and was replaced by a bit of a cool breeze when we got here so it was a brisk walk to GZ and well it wasn't hard to spot so a quick grab and sign and we quickly made our way back to the car. Everything in excellent dry condition.
Heading north today we stopped in here and went for a walk up to find this.
We spooked a couple of muggle wallabies on the way and once at GZ easily found the cache.

Didn't bring a pen from the car, doh... But loved the little trek up the hill while I waited for my partner
Massive container great hidey hole. Can hear the traffic here but can't see it - slightly eerie found with silverfox1970 on our way to Oatlands. TFTC.
Scary in the dark but found it! I'm sure the sculptures are less creepy in the daylight too! TFTC
A quick find while we stopped to stretch our legs heading south. Thanks for the cache
We've spent the last few days on a whirlwind getaway to Devonport, but all good things must come to an end and today we set out for home. Although we've long since picked up most of the caches along the Midland Highway, there were still one or two to collect - this one included.
We recall another cache hidden nearby, not so long ago. It's an interesting spot, a part of the reserve that most passing muggles probably never have set foot upon. It's always interesting to find yourself in a spot that muggles have probably not visited, although with the masses of spiders waiting to ambush the unwary and the fragrant septic system nearby, we probably can't blame them in this case!
Thanks for the cache.

Quick stop here today to go to the toilet m, so why not find this cache too
Off to Hobart for an overnight trip and to also pick up the other half on her flight from Adelaide. I decided to do all the caches that were new along the Highway plus pick up a few targets in Hobart.

Today we headed back to Launceston collecting caches on the way and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

On a ftf hunt this morning and on our way home decided to search for caches that have appeared since our last visit.
We were saddened to see a very old cache that use to be here archived after a needs maintenance was placed on it. Today we had time to do the walk to find the new one and we were surprised to see that another cacher had visited here before us today.

We were on the road by 6.30 am as we were headed North for the day and had three caches on our list to do and this was one of them. It was actually our first stop so we found the cache, used the facilities (which are terrrible - we never stop hear anymore) so very glad there was another reason to stop. Have found a couple of caches here previously. By the time we came home we had added another five to the list that were published while we were travelling. TFTC
great enjoyed drive on the highway and some of my caches maintenance..
Nice view by nearly cache..
took me little searched, finally spot..

Have cached at this pass a few times before and remember one of the first caches we found here being a reflector in a post. I remember how impressed we were with this hide as we were only new to geocaching at the time. Unfortunately it takes a lot more to impress us nowadays.
Pretty much crossed the footbridge and then followed the geotrail to this one.
Noticed a few shaped bushes we passed on the way but they are not as impressive as the ones I remember from my youth on the side of the road in this area.
Thanks.

It was a short walk from the carpal for the hunt. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a very well hidden regular container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks ShannonPC for a well hidden cache- it earns a favourite from us.
out and about caching with the 2 Rafas and these were in line to get a smiley TFTC TNLN log dry easy find with clues.
Gps had me all over the place . Finally spotted from a distance , all's good at gz Thanks ShannonPC
We had no plans for the day and then those no plans went down hill as the car started to play up so it was a day of grab anything close as I nursed the car home
After this quick find we headed home again stopping no more. It's weird when a new cache replaces and old cache in almost the same place even more so when when it is done in the manner of this one.

I was confused here. The container size showed as small. This was a regular for sure although there was a small container inside .
SSR took some coords himself, after all the changes.
By Friday nights stainless steel rat and I either have a firm exciting caching plan for Saturday or no bloody idea what we are going to do. It was the latter for us this week, so we eventually decided to go to Oatlands and finally do the adventure lab by whitewebbs. Added to that was whatever we drove past (or was nearby). I enjoyed the lab series.

On my way home and stopped by to pick up this relatively new cache thanks Shannon. Very close to the original hide. No chance of slithers tonight but still on the lookout in the tall grass.
On my second visit to the cache location within a number of days, I again went to the coordinates and could find nothing at all. I search across the hill back and forth, and then Oldsaint said, come here. The cache was over 10 metres from where I was searching.
The cache is in good condition, although the log book was slightly damp. Nothing to worry about at this stage, maybe it will need to be changed after winter
Coordinates where I found the cache are S42 14.561 E147 24.357
All in all a good experience returning to this area. At least it is not full of spiders like my previous visit here many years ago

Driving back from Ulverstone I stopped by this cache.
Given the limited description, the only place I could find that matched that location was 10 metres from listed coordinates... this is we’re the old cache had been. You can see the parts of a smashed pen and container here. Anyway given other logs had said they found it by luck rather than at the coordinates and I could find nothing in the area that matched the description I think this cache has either gone or coordinates are that far out its impossible to find without luck.
Cache certainly needs maintenance

We were on snake alert and spider alert for this one. Our Gps kept sending us further up the hill than was needed. So very happy to find it and log it. TFTC
Found this one while actually walking up to find the other cache that was further up the hill as i had forgot to put this one in my GPS so it was just pure luck that i walked up onto it.

Found this one while travelling to Hobart, was very warm walking up the hill so i was on the watch out for snakes, made the find and signed all stress free then continued onto Hobart.

*FTF* to Swampy. Long time between FTFs for me. I was sure someone would have found this before me.
Anyways, last time I was here, I saw a large snake slide into a hole just in front of me. I nearly made it back to the creek before seeing a meter long Tiger snake making towards the grass.
Cache is damp as there is no seal around the lid.
Recovered the remains of the other cache just meters away.
Thanks for the cache, and the missed heartbeat!
