Very cool cache, had to explain what I was doing to a very interested tricky who had stopped for a break...lol

A plan was hatched quite a while ago when the Dunedin Mega was announced to come over to the South Island again.I have only been to New Zealand twice before and I loved the South Island.So a chance to come back for a Mega was a no brainer for me.Everything was booked and I flew in the Saturday before after a bit of a delay.Hopefully the weather improves as Im missing the sunshine that I had earlier on on this trip.So Day 14 of my Mega NZ starts and Im heading off to Timaru to check out that town and Im slowly heading North again.I made it up and over Lindis Pass and are now heading towards Timaru which is my next stop for the night.Called in here and as I read the tittle the song got stuck in my head for the next 1/2 hour.Cache was soon located an signed.Thanks erninz TFTC.

Came here to have a short break from our drive from Dunedin to Christchurch.Out caching with irondale.Breakfast of champions this morning with a giant cinnamon scroll from bakers dozen that should legally be required to be sold with a vial of insulin. Also a bottle of sugar free V, because I dont want to get fat!Love the idea of the cache even if its seen better days. On my way south and it was time to stretch the legs and take a break. A quick stop here gave me a chance to make a coffee and cache what a better way to take a break. This was a nice quick find and all in good order. Now back on the road now that the coffee has kicked in .Thanks for a nice place to take 5 and stretch the legs. Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching. As if I need an excuse aahhh nop I will go rain hail or snow so let's goooo and have as much fun and adventures as possible tomorrow may never come and we never know what tomorrow may hold for us all just do it Life is short. After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. Took a minute or two of searching before we were adding our ink to the log. Today I hit the road and drove back from Palmerston to Dunsandel and found a few caches along the way. I seem to recall trying to find a cache around here some time in the past. Must have been a DNF. Found this clever cache OK though. TFTC, Biggles.

We had to take a break from the monotony of driving and this was the perfect cache to find. The Bill Idol song was playing in our heads as we looked for it. TFTC and greetings from Singapore.

We have driven past this cache several times over the last year and today was the day we finally managed to stop. We have always loved this house and have seen it evolve many times over the last 50 years. The cache was quickly found. Cool container with some exciting treasures. We left everything as we found it without taking any treasure but would like to give this cache a favourite point.

I pulled up here at the same time as the rural mail delivery so waited until they headed off. I had found this neat cache two and a half years ago but had forgotten the fun hide until I saw it again. Now I've got that song - or at least a couple of lines of it going over and over in my head. TFTC # 17,155

That was a great way to end a fabulous day trip to Waimate. I think one of the Slater's must have got married as they had lots of guests looking after your cache, which was nicely themed.
I will put it in my favourite points list and issue one when I have one.

I am sure i have been here before chasing the [FTF], the email came through for this and a few others in the Oamaru area but this one was 7km away well that was worth a looksee . No stress i will make a coffe and decide what im doing for the day, i had a maintenance mission in mind and this one will fit perfectly!! Got to GZ and yup i knew exactly where to look and what i was looking for ... oh joy ... this shouldn't take long then.... but because i thought i knew what tree it was.... it took longer than expected . Yup there it was and on looking back on the old log book this will be the second time my name appears at the top of the list and the second favorite point awarded. That is a first for me . Its still a worthy cache and still deserves 2 favs. Great cache Earnie STILL
