There was a bit of a mission for today ...well many missions the main one was to get out of the house and get some fresh beach air..the second one for me was to chase any large and or multi caches not found in the Bass Coast area. This cache ticked both boxes, so after some calculations, it was off to GZ to sign this cache.

Find 3305Arrived at the posted coords and no service on the phone which was a bit of a setback. We photographed the plaque and continued on until we got service again which was actually in San Remo.Having a coffee we worked out GZ and decided to get it on the way back.A pleasant walk along the trail and soon the large cache holder was sighted.Log signed and all back safe as found. Thanks Surefoot24

After doing the required work on this one a while back we were in the right area walking the pooch to sign the log book.Favourite point for the size of this big fella, so nice to see a whopper size used when able. The dam had plenty of water in it but guess it can go a lot higher yet.We wish the bike riders had those little bells fitted to their bikes as they are quite startling when they whizz past so silently. Thanks surefoot for a lovely cache. Nice to explore a bit of local history.

On my way home from attending the Capital City Geogash Mega in Canberra I was near by so gathered the required information to acquire the final coordinates and then set off to make the find. An interesting and informative multi and a well presented cache so a favourite point awarded.

**Bass Remembers Samuel Anderson 1st Jan 2024**We set off early from Beaumaris in the direction of Bass for an afternoon event, leaving us plenty of time to cache along the way. Our furthest destination from home today was Kilcunda, a lovely but busy little spot. On our way to Kilcunda, we stopped into Bass to grab the info for this multi. We stopped and made the short walk along the trail to grab the final. What a great sized box! Thanks surefoot24 for creating this informative multi for us to enjoy. Signed LetThemEatCache or LTEC and JonnyGoldcoast or JC something in-between. Cache on *Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**-The **Ballarat GeoTour** ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches, and earn the souvenir, before the tour is archived. Join us for the [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) on 18 February 2024.

Last one for the day before heading on down the trail back to Wonthaggi. A fabulous sized cache. Much appreciated. On a trip to the Inverloch area to spend some time with family, but also some time to collect a few caches we have not found before. The weather was mixed but we had a few good days where we could get the bikes out on the rail trail.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache surefoot24.**SKI Pair****

The oldest kid just qualified to become a volunteer Surf Lifesaver at Woolamai Surf Beach this summer and this weekend was his first patrol. So I was down for a wet weekend of driving duties interspersed with a bit of caching. There are worse ways to spend the weekend . . . I'm always on the hunt for large caches and multis so this was a double bonus! I enjoyed the short walk up to GZ and the large cache was found safe and dry.

I wanted to get away for a while and the coast is always the best place for me to relax and unwind. Phillip Island is one of my favorite places for a beach break so i decided to head down here and remind myself what the ocean looks like, its been far too long.

I booked some pet friendly accommodation for the week and then threw together a list of caches to tackle on the way down and back but didnt make any plans for the island itself, island time doesnt need plans Smile. This is my last day and i am heading home after a terrific mini holiday. Today i decided to do another decent walk with the geopooch before hitting the road. This rail trail looks just right.

I worked out the coordinates for gz for this one before i left home. It was nice to see they were correct. A lovely large cache and a fun find, thanks.

Thanks surefoot for this multi and fun find. Have walked past the final destination with my geo dog so many times and had no idea the cache was hidden in there. Tftc

On the way done to Inverloch for a couple of days we stopped of to check out these places that we normally drive by. Nice little multi here and good to learn some history about this area. Picked up the clues and a short drive to GZ. Cache in excellent condition. Thanks surefoot24 for the cache.

Found it on my way to our Hoilday house in Cape Woolamai work is really quiet so why not make the most of it and go caching on the island.
Grabbed info on my way and did the maths and then off to find the nice died cache.
Sl thanks for the cache.

04-Jul-23
After finding the info to obtain the co-ords I was pleased to realise I could swing by and grab this cache on my way home. Enjoyed the walk to get to GZ. TFTC!

Solved this one ages ago but was heading in other direction. With such a gorgeous weather forecast had to get out and about. Strolled to gz and was so happy to see a very large, unexpected sized cache here. However ants were also excited by this cache and decided to make it home. So back I trudged back to the car to get insect spray and returned. Blasted cache as there were a gazillion ants and with number of eggs more to follow. Quickly signed log. Tftc surefoot24 love the hidden large

A plan was hatched for a trip to the Island with RoamingHowie to explore and finally turn some dots into smileys.

Found a nice close place to park, to sign off on this long ago solved multi.

Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, surefoot24

OzHockeyChick suggested we head out of Melbourne for the weekend. No need to ask me twice! The car is packed, which direction?

With an early start we set off towards Phillip Island making plenty of obligatory stops along the way.

We had previously visited and gathered infortmation for this cache but didn’t have time to complete it as there was a series of events that meant we didn’t stay for very long . Today we were able to finish it off and found a place to park and wander to GZ.

Thanks surefoot24 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

I was heading down to Inverloch to visit family on a camping holiday... and although I wouldn't have a lot of time for caching along the way, I did plan for two stops... this was my first stop and was chosen because it is:
* a Large cache... needed for a challenge or two
* a Multi... needed today for a challenge or two
* a cache located in Bass Coast Shire... needed for a challenge.
If you haven't worked it out by now, I like chasing challenges as they push you into doing things other than finding the nearest Trad simply because it's there.

A short stop in Bass soon had all the necessary numbers... and my calculations had me pointed a few kilometres away to location that lined up with the description. The car park at my second stop was surprisingly busy for a weekday... but fortunately the rail trail wasn't. A pleasant stroll in the sun brought me to the vicinity of GZ... and the hardest part of the whole cache... spotting it amongst the vegetation... and then getting in to it.

Thanks **surefoot24** for the cache... it was interesting to find out about the reason why *Anderson* is *Anderson*.

Found 1.43pm 04.01.2023 - Find no. 1064 - 2nd of 3 finds for the day - We did 4.79km of walking finding the 3 caches in this trip.
Ngs suggested we all go out for a drive and we decided to head towards Anderson to collect a cache or two that had been put along the trail since I had been looking in this area.
The rain did its thing at 1pm which was when one of the weather sites said it would ... haha .. who would have thought it would be exactly right? It got its job over but there was still a bit of a chill in the air as we headed south so made sure we all had coats on which we needed for the first find but had to shed after the 2nd find and were relegated to the car boot on the way past to the 3rd find ... it turned out quite warm by then! I had collected the needed info on a previous to the initial spot and had done the needed sums quite some time before so we were able to head straight to where we needed to be.
Miss7 was in charge of the finding device this time for most of the way but she got distracted by pine cones on the way so miss10 got us to the location but wasn't quite sure about gz. ... yes, sharing technology but at least we were outside exercising ... She returned the finding device and I verified her preferred spot then stepped slightly off track to quickly find the good sized cache. Both Miss7 and Miss10 were interested in what was inside the cache and much thought went into the possibility of swapping something again. They then had to admire things with me saying ... be careful ... we don't want to take a step the wrong way here as its a fair way down with wetness at the bottom! We had a muggle whiz past on a wheeled thing while a couple if us were off track but were far enough in that we don't think we were spotted looking etc. Log was signed and returned as found. Shedding of a protective layer of clothing became a contentious issue as m10 decided she didn't need to carry it back.. sigh .. kids! M7 did a bit of a clean up of fallen natural products on our way back of previously mentioned pine cones. They were also deposited in the car boot on our way past. Thanks for the cache. Smile

We thought our family had finished work for the year and we were going to spend the week before Xmas doing 'family time' until my wife got asked if she could do a cover. That was fine with me, as it meant I had the morning free for caching somewhere. The Wonthaggi area was chosen to try to fix some DNFs. Tiz said she would meet me there at 8 am and the plan was set.

The top 3 highlights of the day? Caching and chatting with Tiz, lovely beach locations and the little baby snake that sat on the beach beside me. Shame he was camera shy and boy did he freak me out when Tiz spotted him. Guessing it couldn't have been the same one we saw nearby later.

I had worked out the final for this multi cache a year ago. However was heading the other way. After chatting with Tiz, she reminded me that I need to do more Multicaches. As such, I ensured I collected this one on the way home.

Thanks for the cache Sure Foot 24

We picked out just a few special caches to do with ilook4geo today and this was a nice easy multi. The container at the final GZ was an interesting one. All is good and dry with the contents. Thanks for creating this cache go to surefoot24.

This was an easy multi found as we were heading to Phillip Island with goingplaces2. This really was a large outer container. It was quickly found, log was signed and we were on our way again. TFTC.

22-Oct-22
We had lunch in the park near to the posted coordinates and set out across very soft soggy and wet ground to collect the required information. Then a back-track to GZ were we quickly discovered the cache - we were a little surprised with what we found! Thanks to surefoot24 for the cache.

The weather has been beautiful all week, but that's about to change. It's already blowing a gale, and apparently the whole East coast is going to cop one heck of a soaking.

Until then...

A drive off the island to see if I can pick up Challenge caches and puzzles I've got final coordinates for, and Large caches.

This, of course, was one of the latter.

We stopped off on our way to our holiday to gather information, and now it was time to collect.

That's a nice container.

That moment when the CO rings you while you're signing the log, for help on a multi after travelling to a planting event... within walking distance of my house.

Thanks, surefoot24, for the fun, informative multi.

Found with icw. Wow what a surprise, a full-sized cache at the end of the rainbow. We scared two Pacific black ducks at our end of the dam, but they soon recovered. Tftc.

Found by David at 11:10. Collected the numbers,. did the calculations, and all looked promising. We do enjoy learning about the places we travel through, and the early pioneers. We read every word of the cache descriptions, and a FP for your research. Lots of steps for us today after earlier completing the Wetlands Wonderland Labs at Wonthaggi. Bikers and doggers out in force on the Trail today. Good to find such a large container too. Our thanks to surefoot24.

After lunch nearby and being slightly early for the event nearby - Bunadoorian and I decided to have a go at finding GZ of this multi. After co-ords were calculated we headed off to try and find the cache. It was a lovely walk from where parked the car. I had a similar item that holds the cache - as a school girl. TFTC surefoot24 and Darren for the great construction.

With Grub62 to do the calculations this cache was made a whole lot easier. Then when she even went off the path for me. This made it very easy. TFTC.

Found at 3:12 PM GAFF1.
On my way back to camp after attending the Bass event and there was no way I was going to walk 900 metres to get this cache, so a call to the CO to find out that you could get a lot closer by car - actually I found out that I could have driven right to GZ, but I was not in my usual vehicle so I walked the 300 metres round trip. A nice view at GZ and a very nicely crafted outer container as well.
Thanks surefoot24.

So lucky to out and about caching with the Suscoe team. Another interesting day in South Gippsland, we found a variety of caches in a range of locations.
As always it is interesting to learn about our pioneers and link towns to people. Little red herring didn't catch us this time and the numbers soon lead us to a good sturdy cache.

Thanks surefoot24 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe was out caching today in the company of Phetlern.
It was a very mild day, a good breeze blowing and lots of sunshine til later in the day, we even had a few large drops of rain.
A good range of caches in a variety of locations were visited.

Thanks to surefoot24 for this multi, we gathered to info on the way in a few days ago and this morning we found the terrigic final.
A favourite.

02-Aug-21
Well this was an easy walk and an easy find but getting to the cache which I could easily see was more of a challenge. I did it eventually without falling into the dam. Thank you.

01-Aug-21
The information was found and the calculation performed.
We discovered that GZ was in an area we had visited once before.
Once on location, the substantial container was quickly discovered.
Thanks surefoot24 for placing this interesting cache here.
Chiefton!!!

On a cold wet & windy day this place was obviously quiet gathering the hopefully correct numbers and set off to GZ a location I have been to before, well well TEM has been busy designing this little cache signed and rehid appropriately TFTC surefoot24

YESSSS!!! Since technically only one group of people have found the cache they may not have noticed a few problems with the puzzle. I’ll message the owner about it, luckily we changed the final coords a bit and ended up finding it anyway!!! TFTC

*Found on the 27 Feb 2021 @ 1:35 pm.*
*Cache find # 11398.*

Inbetween events we headed over to start this one off but after working out where GZ was we headed to the other new multi before heading to the lunch event, once that was done we then headed to the final GZ for this one, once there the rather large cache was soon found.

**Thanks to surefoot24 for placing this cache.**

Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin Joint - FTF Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
Inbetween the two events some of our group headed over to start this one, but when I joined them they worked out that GZ was 5km away.
So we looked for the other new multi and then joined for the lunch event. As surefoot promised everybody who worked at the CITO can have a Joint-FTF, we went to the final GZ later and found this large cache.

Thank you surefoot24 for this large cache.

After discussing plans with Stemicmitsar, we decided to team up and work on some shared interest caches such as the high d rating trads on the coast.
So loading up into one car we decided to make the quick turn off to grab this multi. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

27-Feb-21
After attending the CITO and Event in Bass today, buhfuhguh and I met up with SteMicMitSar to do some caches around Wonthaggi that we'd been eyeing off for a little while.
In the end, we were able to grab some neat D/T combos and check out some other great caches in the area with a fun time had all round.

buhfuhguh and SteMicMitSar had done the hard yards in collecting the numbers on this one at WP1 while I helped pack things away from the CITO and, after reading some interesting history, we were off on a walk down the trail to gz.
Very peaceful here with only a few other walkers and bike riders spied on our stroll.
A wonderful large cache was uncovered and the logbook was signed as a joint {FTF} with the blessings of the CO.
Thanks to surefoot24 and The_Evil_Muggle for setting up this multi!

TFTC, Brainiac03 Smile

Yay *FTF*. Today it was nice to get back to some events. With the bonus of me finally being able to log a challenge cache that required 20 CITO's and Fleabag- needed this for a 10 CITO challenge as well as the 27th day for an event challenge as well.
Fleabag asked if I could come along and said "sure".

After a FTF on another multi we had to head back home and with the agreement of the CO for everyone at the event to get FTF on these Fleabag- forced me to take a short detour to get this one before heading home to the city.
Nice big cache and really well built too. A favourite from me.
Thanks surefoot24 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

27-Feb-21
Spiffy- and I headed out for a CITO which fullfilled several challenges for us.

Clues gathered and a little spare time allowed us to join this *FTF* great container.

Thanks to surefoot24 for the placement and fun.
