Out and about doing a bit of caching on this very wet and soggy Sunday afternoon. Many roads are closed off in this area due to heavy flooding so we weren't able to get our targeted caches for the day. However, this one was available and was a nice quick find. TFTC Aussie Liahona

Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today we had a trip to the Twin Falls walking circuit in Springbrook planned. On the way back to Logan we stopped off for a couple of Ad Labs and of course any nearby trads as well. A nice quick find here. TFTC

This was our first visit to Mudgeeraba and we only pulled over for a couple of caches. Unfortunately we were here early on a Saturday afternoon so there wasnt any chance of grabbing a sneaky coffee. It looked like there was a chance of something resembling an instant coffee but that is far from sneaky. We were feeling around when Mrs Woodyrothwell said to me that someone was taking a very keen interest in what I was doing. She said we should just walk away in shame hoping no questions were asked. This was the first time that I took a much different approach. Instead of trying to divert attention, I tried to attract it. I started dancing and shaking the tush and then I started singing (and loudly). The best part about my singing and dancing were that they were terrible. So terrible you couldnt take your eyes off me. It was so horrendous that if you were caught watching me, you were the one with questionable morales. My sensational ugly worked and our voyeur moved on. This time I could feel in peace. tftc

20-Mar-24
MrMagoo72 and I were out with our daughter dropping her dog off at a nearby park for the "school bus" to doggy daycare and I just happened to open the geocaching app as we were leaving, to discover that there was a cache hidden here. So we quickly pulled over and headed over to read about the pioneers. Very interesting and quite a different sculpture to the ones I'm used to seeing. The hint was quite explicit, so it didn't take long to have the container in hand. Signed the log and returned as found to its very good hiding spot. TFTC.

Always like coming to this lovely part of Mudgeeraba as I used to have dancing practice in the hall across from GZ many years ago, then to Woodchoppers for a coffee & cake after burning off some energy
Due to the awesome hint provided, it was an extremely quick find for me today.

Thank you, Aussie Liahona, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment

24-Jul-23
Spotted this when I checked my geo-map after completing a nearby Adventure. Turns out I was less than a metre from GZ at that point so it was a very easy find.

Being the last day of our Easter break down the coast, I had a target to finish the local adventure lab and pick up a few nearby caches to get the morning off to a good start. I picked this one up at the conclusion of the adventure lab but then realised I didn’t have my pen on me and had to head back to the car to sign the log. Luckily the trip back to ground zero was a nice quick’ one and before long the cache was replaced as found.

Very happy to have turned this cache into a smilie.

A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.

22/3/2023 Find #5929
Wednesday wagging work day. Ok not really, it is just my day off, and it happens to be filled each week with mischief and mayhem, and a substantial amount of madness. SaintsMadHouse brought EmBem606 along for today’s fun, and we had a day packed with adventure labs and caches, taking us down to just across the border at Tweed Heads before heading back to the meeting point at Yatala Pies.
On our final stretch now as time was fast running out we headed here for our last three caches in this stretch.
We pulled up here to complete the Adventure Labs and look at this fantastic statue.
Luckily EmBem606 had height on her, and saw and grabbed the cache easily.
Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona.

My youngest and I headed out this morning for a few finds. We decided to hit Mudgee as there is now a few down here that are unfound.
We grabbed this one while doing the ad lab. The nasty magpie at GZ had a few goes at my son before we left, thankfully with no injuries. It's a beautiful park of the town in the centre here.
Thanks again AL

Today, the morning consisted of a planned solo hike at Bally Mountain. An awesome yet challenging hike with great scenic views around the vicinity. I then started to make my way back north through Mudgeeraba, completing *Mudgeeraba History* Adventure Lab and grabbing a bakery lunch.
On my return back to Brisbane, I stopped at Toohey Forest Park in Nathan where I joined jesswrigley for a walk around. An enjoyable area with some nice lookouts of the mountains in the distance.

I remember there being a multi-cache that took you through the different locations in Mudge central showing the historic buildings, and thinking that was cool, but that would have been several years ago. So it was my second time here whilst completing the Adventure Lab and stopping at this statue. With thanks to the hint, the cache was a reasonably quick find (although it was blended in nicely), and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Aussie Liahona for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today we found Mudgeeraba Pioneers on our travels. We were wandering around this pretty little area collecting adlab clues and the Chief said there’s a trad here too….how could we not sign the log?!

Thanks Aussie Liahona for being part of our geocaching fun.

Whoa! It was years ago that I last found a geocache in this little centre of town, and it's been a long time since it's had a geocache at all. Which, it's a brilliant place to visit, but clearly challenging to hide a resilient geocache in. On way way down from another solo-trip up to Springbrook, for no reason other than I wanted to visit, I decided I'd collect this little icon on my way home.

Naturally, I managed to make a mess of finding a place to park and after ending up in a loading bay, I left my car just metres (legally, too) from GZ. A cold evening had me figure the place might be deserted, but I was wrong. At least there was nobody in the park around GZ.

I wandered over and as usual, flipped through the listing just in case there's anything I need to know. I made sure nobody was around and felt about a bit before feeling that satisfying movement of a thing. The geocache was in hand!

The logbook was signed just before 19:00 and replaced as found. Great to visit this place once more and reflect on the history of the area. Thanks for this geocache, Aussie Liahona Smile

After a day in Casino and then a drive back home I needed to stop for a rest and a quick bite to eat. What better way than to do an adventure lab while here. Oh there is a cache here as well bonus.

An easy find really the hint tells you where it is, and with no one around here at 7.30pm on a Monday night it was an easy find and grab. With log signed and cache replaced as found I was heading off on my travels towards Brisbane again.

Thanks for placing this one here and the lab I enjoyed my walk around and my break.

Stuck at home during Covid we were going back through our notes from our Dayobro trip and found that we hadn't logged this cache so are doing so now on September 11th.

We are slowly working our way south after having a great time at the mega in Dayboro and because it was still school holidays and we had the camper on behind we decided to concentrate more on Adventure labs as they aren't affected by Muggles and anything else that it looked like we could get.

We really enjoyed the drive/walk around Mudgeeraba, the different locations and learning a bit more about the area that we were visiting. We were very close to this cache as we did the lab so of course weren't going yo pass it by.

Once at gz a short search revealed the container and we happily added our name to the log.
Many thanks aussie Liahona for the cache.
