My final day of caching and sightseeing in Mount Isa with RoddyC, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 (Logs signed as Team4QLD) and joined by Team TBU.Very early start to the day, and after our trip to the lake, it was time for some tree fishing, then random caches on our to-do list in and around town.Apologies for the generic logs, but I very much enjoyed all the caches found. They were in good condition and a credit to the several cache owners who placed them and maintained them for our benefit and enjoyment ?? ??THANK YOU??
TFTC smile 17039 ?? out and about on a lovely day ?? signed and replaced as Team Q4 Snickersallan Hatzofff RoddyC and TBU Thank you wicksy1770 for placing this cache for our enjoyment ????

For our busy final day around Mount Isa (RoddyC, hatzofff, Grannysmith1947 and Snickersallan), we continue to sign as Team Q4. Most of the day we aew with Yeam TBU as well Today we journey to the other lake and back after some really early tree fishing, then some clean up of multicaches and trads before dining with the locals to day thank you.Nice sunset today.Log signed and cache replaced as found on September 28, 2023. TFTC, wicksy1770
Found the cache with TBU1Bikesu - and with Team Q4 which added extra fun. Some caches were easy to get to, some needed bigger efforts, some were quickly found, some took longer .... It was a fun day out. Thanks to all cache owners who put out these caches for our enjoyment.
We are staying for couple of days in Mount Isa to get as many caches as possible - quite successful so far.Tftc wicksy1770
Travelling with RoddyC, snickersallan and grannysmith1947 as Team4Qld.Day 4 in the Mount Isa area to complete some challenges and get some more smiles and caching with TBUs.TFTCache wicksy1770
Day 20With the QOGM event now over it was time to head up to Mount Isa to a town we had never visited before bringing us higher in Queensland than we have ever been before. Our aim is to do some solved puzzles, multis, the virtual, labcaches and some older trads, not to mention sightseeing. We are really enjoying our stay here in Mount Isa, lots of caches, lovely sunsets, unique landscape and the spring wildflowers are amazingly different to ours in Victoria.Another day of caching with the object of getting 15 more finds to help qualify for the local challenge cache.A small walk to GZ to claim this smiley. Thanks wicksy1770 for the placement.
Mt. Isa Day 8 Our last day here before slowly heading to QOGM at Longreach
This was one of the closest to the caravan park where we are staying.
Looked for this one yesterday without success.
Today while at GZ a worker came out & phoned the CO for us. Once we knew where the cache was, our name was added to the log
Thanks to the CO for placing this cache

Day 87 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Alice Springs, Uluru, Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield we continue our journey back south to Vic through Longreach to attend QOGM. It is also day 86 of a streak.
Staying in Mt Isa for a few nights more than we originally planned as we require a car repair. A couple of quick finds followed by an event, lunch and more finds is the order for today. Took the short stroll to GZ, geohubby got prickles from grovelling on the ground. Found some rubbish that helped to extract the cache and left for the next finder - unless someone organises a CITO, in which case it will be gone

Just picking up some more caches around the Mt Isa area while we are here with ilook4geo. There was no problem here and the log was soon signed before all was replaced as found.
Thank you to wicksy1770 for putting this cache into play.

Our plan today was to climb to the top of as many hills as we could manage before our legs gave out.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache 13 metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.

We have visited this little park three times over the last 2 days. Yesterday there was a family of 3 playing ball games near GZ so we couldnt hunt. Today Little Athletics was in full swing all day.
I have seen this type of hide before so as I approached GZ, I knew what to expect. I was correct. Great spot for a cache.
Came past the other day but stopped at the parking as the park was busy.
Came back this arvo and almost had it all to myself
Thank you for hiding this geocache wicksy1770

Muggers everywhere, quick dash and grab, wandered around afterwards till safe to place back. tftc was a lot of fun
6/3/21 17:43 managed to contain myself enough not to go all hands on to find this. Luckily too as it looks like a few red back eggsacks not far from the hide. Thanks for placing this wicksy1770
{*FTF*} I was just about to start cooking dinner when the notification came through that Wicksy1770 had placed another cache for us to find.
Mmmmm, dinner can wait and the hunt was on.
Luckily the the last Muggles in the park we’re just packing up when I arrived so a stress free hunt with the torch made for a fairly quick find thanks to very good coordinates. Tried out my new stamp for the first time on the log.
Thanks Wicksy for another great hide.
