Walked around the barrier across the path - figured that was for cyclists and muggles! Nice dry container and log book. TFTC
Visited the cache and replaced the logbook. Thanks to Kearnsy for alerting us. Also restocked the cache . Happy geocaching!
Miss 7 was excited to find this one when we had nearly given up. Mr 5 was very excited by the treasure.
Back on the west coast and calling westport home for the next wee while having picked up work in the area. So time to turn all that green , yellow..
Didnt see it straight away but got there in the end..tftc

Lovely sunny day in Westport. This is our third find and we were happy to find a Brittish Bobby geocoin!! ! We will re-hide and log it ASAP. Two happy boys and want to show Dad.
Checked a couple of spots then looked from a different angle and cache was spotted, signed log, dropped a tb in cache and replaced all as found. tftc

That's fairly seriously rustic, not much chance of it going anytime soon! Bigger than I expected!
#11,326. I have been down at Punakaiki for the week doing some work. Drove back last night to Westport and had a crazy early start dropping off a work colleague at the airport for the 6am flight. I was going to do some caching after that but it was too dark and passing showers put the kibosh on that idea. So back to the motel for breakfast then came here early in the day.
Short wander over to GZ and found the relic. Quick look around and located the cache. Nicely hidden. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks ProPax for hiding it here.

The hint made me look in a particular location, but then I expanded a bit and spotted the cx in its hiding spot. TFTC.
Found on this wet westport day quick walk to the cache in the rain
Thank you for the cache
Thank you for the cache
Having parked up near the start of the cycle track, i thought I might just have enough time before dark to do one more bike ride.
Awesome to see these relics being left.
Thanks for putting a cache here

What a lovely track to cycle. Have see a few people out and about today. Nobody around as we studied the relic. A quick find here with some matching items in the cache. TFTC
That’s a great sized container for a location like this. Well done. I was looking for something a little smaller and magnetic… but no. TFTC
Didn’t take long to inspect this rusty carnage and locate the decent sized cache in the obvious spot. Lots of good loot inside it too. The sheep across the path were curious as to what we were doing and came up to the fence to check us out. TFTC
Took longer than it really should have in the dark. Full moon tonight but the blood micromoon eclipse was at its maximum while I was looking so it was no help at all. Thanks for placing. Thanks ProPax

My day in Westport has nearly come to an end, but as there are two caches close to each other I thought I should squeeze another couple of finds into my day.
I wasn't sure of how to access this area and ended up doing a bit of a drive around the neighbourhood, so many houses with stickers on the window indicating the damage that resulted from the recent floods. My brother lost his home and all its contents in the floods a couple of years ago, he lived at Snodgrass. So it was pretty sad as I saw how many people have lost their homes in the recent flood, it brought back memories of trying to help clean out my brothers things.
The cache was another one our grandsons would like to visit, and the relic is one that I liked to visit. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

I'm in Westport for the long weekend. I haven't been here for a few years now so a geocaching visit is long overdue. I had a nice walk around the K R T finding as many of the caches there as I could. Had to think a little laterally to find this one. TFTC, Biggles.
I have been staying in Westport for the last couple of days and loving it. Have been touring the south island since March and enjoying most of the towns I stop in. Special thanks to those that hide and maintain their caches.
The hint had me searching in the wrong area but extended the hunt for a Cartastic cache. Thanks for the effort that goes into these larger caches with stuff for the kids.
Had a great day on the E-bike, caching on the Westport cycle trails, 39km 6hrs and 44 caches, trails in great order. - Many Thanks Bitsprayer
A nice quick find thanks.
Ms_KR and I are on the west coast, hopefully to complete the PWGT GeoTour this weekend, with only 2 to go. Another glorious day today, fine weather for most of the caching time. Up to Denniston was definately a highlight, with good views and no wind.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Day 10 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Enjoyed cycling on the trails on the outskirts of Westport today and picked up a few caches. Great day for it! Found this one without much difficulty. Then into town for lunch! #4120. TFTC.
In Westport for a weekend of Bridge. As we weren’t starting until 12 I ventured out, braving the rain showers, to do the AdLab and find a few of the other new hides.
On my way back to Derby St from the Domain I found time to find the two new caches in this area.
A short walk and a quick find. My grandson would have loved to find the treasures inside this container.

We have accessed the cycle trail from this Balfour St waypoint before but from memory we turned right, today it was a very short walk the other way.
While I pondered where to start looking Hazedarus just reached down then handed me the cache. Signing was completed between muggles.
Thank you ProPax.

I don't think this'll buff out. What I love about the Coast is that every time you do a bit of serious weeding history will be exposed. This is a worthy addition to the Kawatiri Trail caches. Thank you ProPax
This was our first geocatch with our son. Someone had thrown the catch in the bushes but my wife was able to find it and have placed it back in its rightful place. Happy hunting!
It seems geocaching maps is slow in updating their maps as this trail is not there. It shows it on a road. O problem sussing how to get here however. Great to see more and more quality cycle trails. Thanks for bringing us here ProPax
Nice stack of stash giving a modern day theme to this cavhe ..neat old wheels..
Thanks Propex for bringing me to this great area
