No luck today

19-Nov-24
Sadly couldn't find nothing after 10 minutes Sad hopefully cache is still there and we're just bad at looking!

26-Oct-24
No luck for us today. Thanks anyway.

tricky climbing up because of council but managed to find it. thanks

18-May-24
Spent the afternoon walk the Linear Park trial from its beginning up to the old Cascade Brewery. I was able to find six caches along the way with only one DNF. This was it. Climbed up to GZ and located the most likely spot for the hide. It contained only a couple of rocks. Looked around for a few more minutes just in case, but fared no better. I really wanted to return to Texas with a Tasmanian letterbox find.

15-Apr-24
Thanks ShannonPC for hiding this cache, I needed a find for today to update my calendar and find streak. This is my find #1509 at 06:37 on 15/4/2024. I am claiming a find on this as I managed to find the plastic bag in the crevice behind the rock. There was nothing else there. I left a page from my logbook and returned to where I found it. If it keeps going missing, it may be time to find a better spot at this wonderful location.

11-Mar-24
I climbed up to gz and had a short break as it was a nice place to rest awhile. The only thing inside the cache was the stamp so I guess the letterbox part still applies I didn't have any paper on me to leave so I took a photo. Will need to add a log. Thanks for the rare letterbox cache!

02-Mar-24
We visited this letter box during our lovely stay at Hobart. The box is still empty. The key ring in the attached photo shows the 26 m radio telescope of the Mt Radio Observatory. TFTC MCoMeter

25-Feb-24
As per previous finder, the cache is there but sans logbook. Stamp only. Tftc

06-Jan-24
Found the cache at the specified coordinates but it has been muggled. No log book - just the stamp and plastic bag remained in the box. Have replaced as best I can. Needs maintenance. TFTC.

03-Jan-24
Thanks for doing the maintenance, the container looks brand new!

11-Dec-23
I've walked past this cache very many times but have always been in the company of muggles! Today I was solo and after noticing a recent maintenance visit decided to go find it. An interesting spot and a quick find. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan

Replace cache today go fun

22-Sep-23
Nothing there, found the rock, nothing behind it

22-Sep-23
Looks to be gone

20-May-23
I ended up accessing this cache from above after finding another cache a lot further up the hill. As I started searching for the cache some kids playing below spotted me and decided to climb up to explore the cave. Despite their presence I had a search of the area. I found a suitable place to tuck away a cache but failed to spot any side of it.

No luck today

17-Mar-23
out and about caching to get signal out of the maze, a pleasant walk to an open space where the cliffs can support rock climbers and other things. once at GZ it felt as if I had been here before. TFTC TNLN log dry. lots of muggles walking the path to and from Hobart.

03-Mar-23
Found on a trip from South Australia to Tasmania, mainly to visit family and friends and to also find a few caches.

After doing a couple of caches around Hobart first thing this morning, including this one, I headed up the mountain to find a few more caches of interest before going down to the Huon.

My phone GPS was flitting around a bit here, but it didn't take too long to find the container very close to where the GPS settled. Cache and contents are in reasonable condition.

Thanks ShannonPC for the cache.

17-Jan-23
We have tried to find this cache on at least two previous occasions but without success. We kept the cache on watch and noticed some recent finds. So this evening, amid the traffic chaos in Hobart, we went for another look. On this occasion we made a very quick find with the coordinates being very accurate. The log was damp and some ink stamp had just spread with the owner of the stamp not being able to be identified. This cache certainly needs a waterproof container with the log in a sealable plastic bag. Thanks ShannonPC for the cache.

11-Jan-23
Found quickly considering my phone wanted me to go another 8m up the cliff. Not happening tonight!
Quickly signed the damp log paper before moving sideways to watch the climbers on Freuhauf walls.
Thanks for the cache! #3999

27-Dec-22
This was in an area of Hobart I have never visited before but due to the heat was not inclined to explore further other than to locate the cache. the only muggle was leaving the park as I arrived so the coast was clear for me to make a quick find. Thank you ShannonPC for this cache.

05-Nov-22
Found it. Thanks

03-Nov-22
Here for 10 days on the apple isle, third time as a cacher and hoping to add some smileys to the game board. Not feeling the best, I opted for some close by the accommodation then wherever the next cache led me. I had a couple pre-solved puzzles that met my daily grid requirements, and so, let the games begin.

Thanks for the cache ShannonPC. Cache found with good coords. How very fortuitous the cache was replaced just days ago. I found the fresh new container and the blank A4 sheet. Signed and folded and returned. Find #7593 at 3.45pm

###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.

The cache owner needs to:

* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.

Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.

Alternatively:

* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.

In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by ShannonPC and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

While i was in Hobart for the festival of voices i spent some time exploring the surrounding area and locating a few caches. we went up to the cascade brewery site and then went for a walk down in the park below where the rhododendren bushes were just starting to blossom. It is a lovely reserve although coolish as it is in the shade alot of the day . but then Rhodos do like the cooler temps . thank you for this cache .

Poor reception made this more difficult than maybe it should have been. Thanks anyway.

Nice mailbox! A few muggles rock climbing which was cool to see, but we retrieved the cache undisturbed. Was a quick and easy find, we spied it a few metres before we reached GZ.

Well, that took longer than necessary!
Made our way up to the top. Thought we were in the wrong place.
Went back down.
Realized we had to go up again.
Got distracted by the rock climbing stuff in the area.
Eventually found cache!
It was worth it as we found a trackable. Will move it on to our next cache.
Left a kids toy behind.
TFTC.

After just coming back from the South Hobart Tip-Shop [I got 2 cassettes, i'm SO old-school [:x] and i'd have it no other way [^]] i decided to stop off at this one and drop a tb, that i've harbored for too long ha ha Big Grin even though it is seriously cool Cool having the Tasmanian Flag on it Wink i thought id better keep it moving Wink

I ventured up, almost with the rock-climbers here, to make a swift find and sign at 12:25 on TGIF 21 May 2021.

Today our geocaching aim is to clear up a few caches in the foothills of Mount Wellington. Many have been on our radar for a while and also a few newer ones.

We remember getting a cache here a few years ago. Great spot, there were a few campers nearby, not sure that’s legal . Cache quickly found and logged. TFTC

Escaped from the current craziness in Qld (I don't live in a high risk area). Down visiting my daughter so thought I'd go explore the rivulet while I wait for her to finish uni . Hoping to maybe spot a platypus . Not usually one for scrambling around rock faces but it looked tame enough for my level of competence. Enjoyed getting up close to the structure. Nice park below. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Quick run out tonight to find a couple of new caches. This one is in an area that I certainly have been to before. In fact I am sure I have found a different one in the very same location.
Rock Climbers were very nearby

20-Mar-21
There used to be a multi here. I'd found stage one and two but never got to grab the final as people were rock climbing both times I came to look so walked away. There was also a traditional
near the play equipment.
So third time lucky! I didn't even use my GPS here, just make the climb and soon located GZ.
After replacing it some children came up to play in the cave whilst their dad watched from below.
Thanks SPC

Had some time to kill this morning so headed into this great linear park. coords worked well and soon scrambled to GZ for a quick sign.
Great day for caching.

Remembered looking here and not finding it years ago, but Sue spotted this new one quickly.

10-Mar-21
TFTC, SPC. There are no trinkets in the container, just the logbook and stamp.
Found on a nice lunchtime walk with a muggle mate, in the second place I looked using geosense rather than coordinates as GPSr not too accurate under cliffs and trees.
As SSR mentioned, I've found a different cache here before.
Cheers EPs.
#2061 @ 1300hrs Wednesday 10th March 2021.

With the other log I was surprised to find the logbook empty when I eventually found the cache.
Both sets of coords were out by 13m and 27m
My device had the cache at S 42° 53.614 E 147° 18.100 with an accuracy of 4m
Thanks for the {*FTF*}

I'm sure there used to be another cache here?
