Logs
Found with geodaughter Pratzy95 and geodog Ava the Kelpie, battled numerous flies who seem to think the human nose is also worth exploring
Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
Fifth and last day of the road trip to Coober Pedy. After the late arrival last night we had quite a few left on the Whyalla list so set the alarm for earlier than I'd hoped in an effort to complete the list. And that's what we did, They were mostly traditionals with just a few puzzles, one of which was located in a particularly "interesting" location. After leaving Whyalla it was almost straight home, but did have a couple of very fresh caches in Owen that would need finding. That done, managed to drop the Rat at home five minutes before the time that was aimed for. Then on my way home managed to find a couple of newish traditionals to top off what's been a great caching trip which was my first, but hopefully not last, venture towards the centre of this vast and varied land. Thanks to Casula23 for adding to the playing field with this cache.Smilie #15164.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Day 4 of our 5 day trip to Coober Pedy.Today found us traveling to and around Whyalla. This is a fun trip for SA Sewer Rats.We located the cache stamped the log book. TFTC
TFTC! A nice easy find for me on a beautiful, sunny day! Didnt have a pen so didnt write in the logbook
on my lunch break at work and realised how close it is to where i normally sit! tftc
Out caching while staying at the Footy Club. When we pulled up at the end of the caravan park on the foreshore it took me back to 1966 or 67. Our FC station wagon needed a new radiator and we stayed at this park waiting for it before heading to Pt Lincoln to visit relatives. Thanks Casula23 for this adventure tftc
A nice peaceful place to stop and enjoy the view. I can see 3 ships off the coast getting filled. Tftc
While staying at the caravan park it was a nice quick walk to this cache, a quick find and log signed thanks for placing it
A short walk from the park where we were staying to GZ this morning. Nice cool and calm weather made for an enjoyable stroll to make our 6000th cache find here. A quick find and all good here, cheers for hiding.
Find #6000 on 28 Jun 2023.

Found while visiting Whyalla for a few days with Team Waldron and TeamAstro, with the aim of finding as many caches as possible in Whyalla and surrounds. Day 1 saw us travel up from Adelaide and tour the very scenic coastline around Port Bonython and Point Lowly. On Day 2 we headed out to the Fill In The Gaps (FITG) series, then to Iron Knob and back via the First To Find Power Trail (FTF PT) series. On Day 3 we cached in and around the City of Whyalla, and on Day 4 we made our way out to Whyalla Conservation Park before heading for home. Thanks for the cache Casula23!
Great spot. Strolled thru the complex.
A fun find with Team Waldron and FeatherWaite on a trip from Adelaide to Whyalla and “around”.
Thanks Casula23 and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

Away for a few days with Featherwaite and Team Astro.
The plan was to get all the whyalla caches as well as the FTF series and the FITG caches.
Nearly got them all, just a few left for next time.

Staying for a night in the nearby caravan park and after setting up the van decided to go for a walk and make the find. Wandered to GZ and spotted the hide. Then started checking all the hidey holes, and soon discovered the correct one, and extracted a cache, signed the log and then replaced all as found.

Continuing our celebrations of birthday week for the cats, Purrfect Di and Mattycat decided to go do some more birthday caching and see what we can unwrap in the way of iron triangle log books. Yours was one we found along the way, with the help of Jack. Quite a fun packed day finding all sorts.
Interesting finding the way into this one. Both of us working in aged care we felt a little at home when we located the closest park A quick find on a breezy day.
Sincere thanks to Casula23 for placing and maintaining this cache on our geo game map
[:o)]
I must note that we certainly do appreciate the way those mint tins age to blend in with the rusty outback earth!!! Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, plastic cracks and mint tins rust!
---
Searching around every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Quite a lot of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
[^] [:o)] [^]
A great caching start to Twenty Twenty Too

The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021!
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]
Day 1: Getting to our Whyalla digs:
One last one for the day. Short walk and then a bit of a search before spotting the cache and digging it out.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Casula23 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Took a bit of searching. Had to resort to the torch and some digging to get it out. Glass containers aren’t ideal.

Close to cp where are staying for 2 nights. Went for stroll on very windy evening only cos the cache was only 400m away. Tftc
Full time nomads since 2013. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.
Back in SA for harvest work. Heading to Port Pirie but 4 days ahead of schedule so a quick detour to Whyalla was in order.
Parked the car back at camp and wandered up with a wine. Early enough no mozzies but bet they come out soon. Windy enough to keep em at bay today. Picked up the TB.

A nice quick find while out for a beach walk with Sharkbait. Would be an awesome location on a Summers night, watching the sun set, a refreshment of some sort and a think layer of repellant as the mozzies in this area of town can be horrendous. TFTC
