Placed a book here as tribute to the cache god. Looked in the wrong place for a while until I found it!Great spot and TFTC
The very cool, grey, misty weather continues, and today Ive set my sights on Mt Barker for a handful of caches. The good thing about these structures is that you dont feel quite so out of place by walking up and checking it out. I made an assumption here that cost me some time, but I got there in the end. I should start carrying my surplus books around with me. Thanks for this hide CSavvy.
Maths teachers always say do the odd ones!! Nice to meet the CO. Oh. Really bright white lines in your street!!Thanks CSavvy and clear skies from TeamAstro. Managed to meet the CO whilst visiting here, which is always nice! Thanks CSavvy for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
With Purrfect Di and Jack, found your cache to clean up a bit of the map.
A neat little hide, that had me looking in all the wrong places... then d'oh !
Our thanks for the cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance CSavvy .
---------------- ----------------------
--------------------------------------
Country, Coffee, Cats, Champagne, Chocolate, and Caching...
Careful caching as always, wherever we go.
It's a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and objects falling from trees
...... but a cache a day still keeps the boredom away
--------
Most of our caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp )
----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside
It's awesome of all those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!
[:o)]
The end. For now...
... until next time!

GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... be there or be backward!
29.2.24 It's gone MEGA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found on a cool day in the Hills. Love a good book! Great community service all in one. Tftc
Southern Autumn adventure Day 51. Mid North section of SA trip Day 22. Mount Barker 2. Today and yesterday and tomorrow are really transitional to me getting to Mildura in time to do the Paddle Steamer with friends from Canberra. I journeyed to a spot about 35km South of Loxton near a location called Veitch via Murray Bridge an Karoonda for lunch. Before I left I spent an hour or so near Mount Barker having a final go at a few multis with difficulties and other local caches. The rain started while I was out and did not let up for the rest of the day. As I traveled, I did manage to stop a few times, getting wetter all the time, but I was keen to find some caches. At the final stop for the day I found a remote patch of roadside rest area and sat quietly till it was time to leave the next day.
I was beginning to wonder what had gone wrong when I changed focus and found this one. The numbers are bit hard to juggle during replacement.
Thanks for the cache CSavvy

Being so close to the house I wasn't comfortable lurking any longer. Maybe another day.
We have visited this place many times not knowing there was a geocache here! Thank you!
Found with 2011*turtle on a day geocaching around Strathalbyn. This was a favourite find today. TFTC
The adventures of Sparkie and Goldy have returned, this time for some caches around Mount Barker, Nairne, Kanmantoo and Callington.
An 8:30AM start, followed by laughs, lots of potholes, Hungry Jacks for lunch and 21 caches for the day with a handful of DNFs.
A quick find to start off the day. Cool location.
Signed as "Sparkie and Goldy"
Thanks CSavvy for this cache.
This brings my find count to 2404 on the 26th of January 2023.

Out with Geo pup for an early morning drive, managed to strike this off the Geo shopping list for the area, a definite fave on the way, loved it not only for its simplicity but also for the good reads TYFTC
I never get tired of a book box hide. These are great. I did however spend quite a bit of time looking in all the wrong places. You should try the one in Millicent, its a beauty. Log found and signed, returned as found. Find #7878 at 1.18pm
A caching day out with Doctor Owl and sushilord was organised starting off in the hills and ending up down at Langhorne Creek. A lovely day exploring and finding caches in some out of the way places. [^]
Love these little libraries that have popped up all over the place. I have even swapped books on a few occasions. A quick find here by the owl.
Thanks for the cache CSavvy.

A day out with JJ52 and Dr Owl prowling the hills and the Fleurieu.
After 'finding'a non-existant cache nearby for the Dragon we were back on course and happily finding caches.

Sushilord was in town and this meant the obligatory caching day out. JJ52 joined the fun and the trio managed to avoid the worst of the holiday traffic to find caches in odd places. A couple of failures didn't spoil the day and a new lunch spot was discovered. The rain held off and a good day was had by all. This was a nice little library with some tempting books, but the cache was the main attraction and quickly found by the Owl (after dislodging a tiny slithering skink guardian).
We saw the attractive library as we pulled up in the car. The information provided led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. We were just replacing the cache when the CO arrived and we introduced ourselves. Thanks CSaavy for an enjoyable cache.
Would be here a long time without the hint but managed to make quick work of the cache this morning
This morning I headed up to the hills for a half’s day caching with some commitments after lunch, a nice drive around with some small walks in the mix.
18 finds for the morning

Needed to get my points up for the Everest Summit souvenir.
After work I took a stroll around Jupiter Creek before heading into Mt Barker for a few more unfounds (now it's a smiley) & the shops/food.

Called past while in the area today for the search. Very unusual to have a book-swap library where you have to squat down to peruse the books! Thanks for the cache CSavvy!
Mr Tardis and Teen Tardis were on our way to Strath, and stopped here to find this one. We found it after a short search.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache CSavvy.

This was number 2 of 2 for a quick couple of caches in Mt Barker. There were the obvious hiding spots so cache was found very quickly. TNLN. Cheers.
Today I needed to find three caches to complete loop 11 for my calendar. [^] I had been saving close to home caches for just such a day. Time to go and clear our Mount Barker area...again!
I remember have done a cache once before around hereabouts! Don't remember this Book Worm Exchange though. Out with the UV and I soon had the word needed. [^] My first thought proved totally wrong and I found I needed to extend the search to see the prize. One down and two to go.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks CSavvy for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Looked for ages and ages and finally found the spot. But no cache CO will some maintenance soon. Thanks for the help. Fun hide

This was my second attempt at this one and I finally had some luck here today. After a lot of searching, I found the well hidden cache!

Full time nomads exploring SA. Mr Felix headed out on his bike this morning to tackle some caches. Once he returned we hopped into the Geo Cruiser to attempt some more.
We nearly missed this one. Had some trouble interpreting the clue but Mrs F eventually made the find. Phew.

I am thinking that when I couldn't find this on the 1st visit when the home owner (CO?) pulled up, I should've mentioned I was looking for a geocache rather than reading material?
Needless to say I had to come back! Got it in the daylight this time.
Nice concept and hide.
Welcome back to the game.

Had been down to Port Noarlunga for a dip and had a ride around some lab waypoints then on the long way home this was one of five newish traditionals found.
Hadn't done any reading before getting to GZ and don't carry the recommended TOTT in the car so used a more common TOTT and a PAF call to help find the nicely hidden cache.
Thanks to CSavvy for placing this cache here for me to find

What a clever cache. Lots of good reading here. The TOTT showed me the way and the cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Out with CPwanderer this afternoon, grabbing a few local caches.
This cache was just up the road for me, but I refrained looking for it as I don't have a UV torch.
It was rather tricky to use the UV torch during daylight hours, it also took CP two attempts in finding the cache.
A nice, colourful structure which I've added to.
Thanks for the cache, a favourite

This was a clever hide.
We came prepared with the right Tott.
Found what we needed.
I sat down and checked a few things.
The cache was quickly located.
A fave point. Tftc

After the Pi events today I thought I would grab a couple of caches on my way home...
I could have grabbed this one when it first came out but I thought it was more important to video chat with my daughter before heading to the events...
I came here thinking perhaps there was a FTF up for grabs still but alas I was beaten to it...
The cache itself was a bit of fun...I found the hint easily but thought it could have meant a couple of options...the first one did not pan out but the second option certainly did...
Nice little book library...did not see any book worms...

Woohoo! Did not expect this. My first FTF for a few years! It seems you can get one when you are not really trying (at least that happens to me most of the time). Nice hide to boot! Thanks CSavvy.
