Thanks for the Cache Angus88 and Sam, I found a container and as I placed it on my lap I noticed the spider. I hope it wasn't part of the surprise for the finder, as I may have ...err... Damaged it to somewhat.....er... beyond repair. SorryBeaut view of the nut with the sun rising.Regards from Victourer
On a maintenance trip from Port Sorell to Stanley, and now on the Kettler track walk, it was found at this one isnt good order.
The Kings Birthday long weekend caching trip to Stanley is now in the second day. Today we found your cache whilst cleaning out the areas around Stanley and Smithton. An early start for us today and we found this cache at 05:33. Thanks Angus88 for placing Sam for us to find today. This brings my find count to 4884.
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. This find, Sam, brings my total to 1662 and was found at 05:33 on 8/6/2024.Thanks Angus88 for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Thanks Angus88 for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 1,044 for us We are traveling Australia full time in a Coaster Bus and of course grabbing some caches along the way. [Feel free to follow our journey HERE...](https://linktr.ee/SalandAnth)
Today we headed out to find all the S name caches along the trail and beach, Nut ones hopefully tomorrow. It was a little bit windy but otherwise a perfect afternoon for a walk. Quick find and sign TFTC Angus
The CO is on a maintenance trip from Latrobe along the north coast and then down the West Coast to Corinna. Today it is the Stanley Tetlow Track hike after doing The Nut caches yesterday. Sam was found to be in excellent condition so no action required.
I chose about the worst possible day for a maintenance run. Wild weather. However, everything is good here.
Sam the Eagle was always so serious on the Muppet show

Found a cache on the ground in the open, lots of swaps but no log. When trying to see where it should be we found the actual cache????
Not sure where the others from? Will take with us incase we find one of the trail missing.
Thanks for maintaining the cache

Found Samy and a bonus cache on the floor??? How did this one get here??? Messaging co and will follow her instructions on what to do with it. TFTC and a fabulous fabulous view. Would love a cuppa and biscuit while admiring this view
Sam was fine, but his lid was broken, so he has now been replaced, and the log is now waterproof.
Megawat60 are in Stanley and enjoying the walk after lunch!

A great walk along the beach with icybeetas, nettieknows and gridge98 on our getaway in Stanley. TFTC.
A great place to take a seat and rest except today the wind was a bit unpleasant. The bonus was that Sam was in situ so another find was made.
This morning after my event on the water Courtneyrose_, nettieknows, Icybeestas and I made our way along the coastal walking trail then back along the beach over 2 hours to complete the lovely walking trail. All the caches were found in good condition and are all good.
Thanks for the cache

When we started our walk we had all the intentions of walking out to the end and finding the caches on the way back. We have found that if you you find them on the way out then the walk back is as boring as bat sh*t.
At the first cache we saw a couple of people hanging around a GZ and from afar it was clear they were caching. We just didn’t want to let them be comfortable until we arrived. We said a quick hello being thankful they had found the cache for us on the way back.
Instead of walking to the end of the trail we decided to turn around and head back for wine. We have a 4pm wine time and aren’t prepared to sacrifice it for anything. tftc

After waiting for cars and a bike to pass, was able to quickly spot this one. Beautiful view!
After finding SAM we sat and had a rest. Not that we really needed it since we were riding e-bikes!! But the views of the Nut and Stanley were spectacular from here.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We are in Stanley for a wee break away, but the real purpose of course is to log the veritable forest of new caches which have appeared since our last visit. Wind is strong east-nor'easter so we chose to do the walking trail on bikes where it is relatively sheltered. Sailed along the beach with the wind behind us, and logged the rest of the caches on the way back. A restful spot after the little hill to climb on the bikes. Thanks for the seat Sam.
Found by Peter and Marian at 1255hrs, on a nice stroll along Tatlows beach track. TNLN TFTC.
Nice seat with a table too - took the opportunity to have a short breather while signing the log. TFTC.
We were visiting Stanley for the day and thought we would try and collect all of the Stanley caches. This one was a bit easier with a quick find. TFTC
For this S series of cache Geo Kid O and myself went different ways. I went along the path, and Geo Kid O went along the beach and then we met where the path comes back up to the main path. Only one DNF among these caches (Which was not the caches fault) which was surprising as some are tricky hides

3 days off from work, and Geo Kid O joined me on a journey to Stanley and then down along the western explorer road towards Corinna. We have a great time finding a number of caches and driving a road I had not travelled on before.
The Western Explorer road was closed for a while and recently had been reopened with a new bridge near Balfour. Some very interesting sights along the way, with part of the road feeling more like a forest track, and other parts felt like a place where no one else has gone in the past, other than on the road. The open button grass plains were amazing along with the mountain views.
We stayed in Stanely, and the caches in and around Stanely were very good, including one walk to the top of the Nut. Gee that is a steep 400 metre walk.
Thank you for the cache which was part of our journey

Ok... 20 or so caches with S names are to be found so i decided on the Anti-Clockwise way, then along the beach on my way back. The wind was gonna be an issue with water pouring outta my cold-wind-sensitive eyes so i was gonna need more time than usual.
Easy does it, was the order of the day for me Probably a good thing coz it means i will slow down and DNF's are less likely to happen.
Bring on the good ol' windy days ha ha
Sam was found and it's dry log was signed at 11:51 on Wednesday 13 October 2021.

This series of caches, all very close to home, has been saying "find me, find me" for some time, so today, with the tide right and overcast skies producing occasional drizzle, enough to deter the muggles, I set off. I attacked them in the opposite order to suggested, so there was a bit of confusion when RHS was actually LHS, but otherwise, thanks to clear directions and hints most of them (1 DNF) were soon found, signed and replaced as found. All were in good condition and it was nice to find a variety of containers and hides. There were just one or two dog walking muggles on the beach and no one at all on the other track or playing golf. It was a very pleasant walk, with wonderful scenery all the way, but I was pleased to finally make it home just as night was falling and treat myself to a comfortable chair and a lovely hot cup of coffee.
Many thanks to Angus88 for creating and maintaining this series, and I will give them all favourites for the wonderful area you have placed them in.

We are spending a long weekend in the beautiful township of Stanley and exploring the area and enjoying the broader North West coast. Of course geocaching is also on our mind and we are looking forward to collecting as many of the new and previously outstanding caches as possible over the next few days.
The weather was quite showery and blustery today After a nice late breakfast we decided to tackle the Nut first. The bonus of the weather was that there were lots of rainbows, even some double rainbows throughout our walk which just added to the amazing vistas.
After lunch we tackled the Tatlows Beach Loop and collected all the caches along the way. Things of note were pesky muggles for the first few caches so we had to come back to them; needed to be aware of golfing muggles along the golf course stretch the ones who’s balls had strayed came quite close to the track; there was a wonderful array of bird life around; once back onto the beach side the wind dropped the sun came out and it was glorious.
Thank you Angus88 for placing and maintaining all these caches in Stanley . A favourite point for the series from us.

CO maintenance run. Sam was safely in place but his logging history was waterlogged, so the log has been replaced within a second container to help keep it dry. Good luck Sam.
