On a maintenance trip between Port Sorell and Stanley, and now on the Tetlow track walk, Simone has been replaced with a new cage that contains a new log and a number of swaps.
The Kings Birthday long weekend caching trip to Stanley is now in the second day. Today we found your cache whilst cleaning out the areas around Stanley and Smithton. An early start for us today and we found this cache at 05:30. Thanks Angus88 for placing Simon for us to find today. This brings my find count to 4883.
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. This find, Simon, brings my total to 1661 and was found at 05:30 on 8/6/2024.Thanks Angus88 for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Thanks Angus88 for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 1,043 for us We are traveling Australia full time in a Coaster Bus and of course grabbing some caches along the way. [Feel free to follow our journey HERE...](https://linktr.ee/SalandAnth)
Today we headed out to find all the S name caches along the trail and beach, Nut ones hopefully tomorrow. It was a little bit windy but otherwise a perfect afternoon for a walk. Quick find and sign between muggles on bikes. TFTC Angus
The CO is on a maintenance trip from Latrobe along the north coast and then down the West Coast to Corinna. Today it is the Stanley Tetlow Track hike after doing The Nut caches yesterday. Simon was found to be in excellent condition so no action required.
A maintenance run on the Tatlow track on a wild weather day. Everything good here.
Simon says….. you found it

This one took a bit longer than the previous ones, but after widening our search we had cache in hand
Simon took us a few minutes to locate, as Simon had not said " I'm a few metres from where your gps Says I am"!
Thanks for maintaining the cache

On a CEO maintenance run, it was found that Simon had, in fact, disappeared. He has now been replaced.

Despite the recent dnf's I thought I'd come and have a look. Spent about 15 minutes here and I couldn't find it either, maybe the recent tree cutting has meant it's not there any more.
Some limbs have been freshly removed. Is it possible this one is missing?
Searched for 30mins with no luck.

Megawat60 are in Stanley and enjoying the walk after lunch!
Like the previous DNF’er said, pruned. Looked amongst felled branches to no avail.

After event caching with icybeetas, gridge98 and Courneyrose_ we decided to do the coastal walking trail caches. Definitely a group effort finding all these. This one had all 4 of us looking TFTC
A great walk along the beach with icybeetas, nettieknows and gridge98 on our getaway in Stanley. TFTC.
This morning after my event on the water Courtneyrose_, nettieknows, Icybeestas and I made our way along the coastal walking trail then back along the beach over 2 hours to complete the lovely walking trail. All the caches were found in good condition and are all good.
Thanks for the cache

Maybe the locals get sick of it, but we are staying in Stanley for 3 nights and each time we look out at The Nut over a bottle of wine we love what we see.
We love putting inflictions on “The Nut” and trying to make each other laugh over how we can work it into sentences. I won’t list them here but you haven’t lived until you’ve included the words “The Nut” into every sentence you’ve ever said. You can see it from everywhere. tftc

All was well with Stewart on our maintenance run of the atlow Track on 1st July 2022.
Simon took a fair while to reveal himself. Mr Beetle spotted it in the end a little further away from where we had been concentrating our search.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We are in Stanley for a wee break away, but the real purpose of course is to log the veritable forest of new caches which have appeared since our last visit. Wind is strong east-nor'easter so we chose to do the walking trail on bikes where it is relatively sheltered. Sailed along the beach with the wind behind us, and logged the rest of the caches on the way back. Simon is my cousin, but its not him hanging around here, and this container was not what we expected to find hanging around either ! TFTC Angus88 which completes our morning run for this entire series.
Found by Peter and Marian at 1249hrs, having a nice stroll along the track. TNLN TFTC.
We were visiting Stanley for the day and thought we would try and collect all of the Stanley caches. This one was tricky and took a bit of searching before we found the hanger. TFTC
For this S series of cache Geo Kid O and myself went different ways. I went along the path, and Geo Kid O went along the beach and then we met where the path comes back up to the main path. Only one DNF among these caches (Which was not the caches fault) which was surprising as some are tricky hides

3 days off from work, and Geo Kid O joined me on a journey to Stanley and then down along the western explorer road towards Corinna. We have a great time finding a number of caches and driving a road I had not travelled on before.
The Western Explorer road was closed for a while and recently had been reopened with a new bridge near Balfour. Some very interesting sights along the way, with part of the road feeling more like a forest track, and other parts felt like a place where no one else has gone in the past, other than on the road. The open button grass plains were amazing along with the mountain views.
We stayed in Stanely, and the caches in and around Stanely were very good, including one walk to the top of the Nut. Gee that is a steep 400 metre walk.
Thank you for the cache which was part of our journey

Ok... 20 or so caches with S names are to be found so i decided on the Anti-Clockwise way, then along the beach on my way back. The wind was gonna be an issue with water pouring outta my cold-wind-sensitive eyes so i was gonna need more time than usual.
Easy does it, was the order of the day for me Probably a good thing coz it means i will slow down and DNF's are less likely to happen.
Bring on the good ol' windy days ha ha
Simon was found and it's dry log was signed at 11:45 on Wednesday 13 October 2021.

This series of caches, all very close to home, has been saying "find me, find me" for some time, so today, with the tide right and overcast skies producing occasional drizzle, enough to deter the muggles, I set off. I attacked them in the opposite order to suggested, so there was a bit of confusion when RHS was actually LHS, but otherwise, thanks to clear directions and hints most of them (1 DNF) were soon found, signed and replaced as found. All were in good condition and it was nice to find a variety of containers and hides. There were just one or two dog walking muggles on the beach and no one at all on the other track or playing golf. It was a very pleasant walk, with wonderful scenery all the way, but I was pleased to finally make it home just as night was falling and treat myself to a comfortable chair and a lovely hot cup of coffee.
Many thanks to Angus88 for creating and maintaining this series, and I will give them all favourites for the wonderful area you have placed them in.

We are spending a long weekend in the beautiful township of Stanley and exploring the area and enjoying the broader North West coast. Of course geocaching is also on our mind and we are looking forward to collecting as many of the new and previously outstanding caches as possible over the next few days.
The weather was quite showery and blustery today After a nice late breakfast we decided to tackle the Nut first. The bonus of the weather was that there were lots of rainbows, even some double rainbows throughout our walk which just added to the amazing vistas.
After lunch we tackled the Tatlows Beach Loop and collected all the caches along the way. Things of note were pesky muggles for the first few caches so we had to come back to them; needed to be aware of golfing muggles along the golf course stretch the ones who’s balls had strayed came quite close to the track; there was a wonderful array of bird life around; once back onto the beach side the wind dropped the sun came out and it was glorious.
Thank you Angus88 for placing and maintaining all these caches in Stanley . A favourite point for the series from us.

out and about with Lil Rafa caching for my holidays in the north and north west, TFTC TNLN log dry, a pity we only had so much time in this lovely area, lots of things we could have done.
a lovely day we were blessed with good weather again.

Thanks for the cache Angus88.
In Stanley for a couple of nights with RLD4963. It was a gorgeous sunny day today, so we were keen to tackle the caches on the Tatlow's loop. A couple of DNF's but it was such a gorgeous morning, thoroughly enjoyed our walk today.
This was a nice quick find.
