On the maintenance trip from Port Sorell to Stanley, and now on the Tetlow track walk, it was found this one was in good order.
The Kings Birthday long weekend caching trip to Stanley is now in the second day. Today we found your cache whilst cleaning out the areas around Stanley and Smithton. An early start for us today and we found this cache at 05:25. Thanks Angus88 for placing Stewart for us to find today. This brings my find count to 4882.
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. This find, Stewart, brings my total to 1660 and was found at 05:25 on 8/6/2024.Thanks Angus88 for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Thanks Angus88 for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 1,042 for us We are traveling Australia full time in a Coaster Bus and of course grabbing some caches along the way. [Feel free to follow our journey HERE...](https://linktr.ee/SalandAnth)
Today we headed out to find all the S name caches along the trail and beach, Nut ones hopefully tomorrow. It was a little bit windy but otherwise a perfect afternoon for a walk. Nice quick find and sign TFTC Angus
The CO is on a maintenance trip from Latrobe along the north coast and then down the West Coast to Corinna. Today it is the Stanley Tetlow Track hike after doing The Nut caches yesterday. Stewart was found to be in excellent condition so no action required.
On a maintenance run on the Tatlow track on a wild and windy day. Stewart has been given a fresh log.
Walking in the sunshine, with a blustery wind whipping up the waves this morning. Thanks Angus88 for adding to our enjoyment walking along this trail.
Many moons ago I worked with a Stewy. He was a giant of a man with a huge heart.
TFTC Angus88

The geocachers we had met at the start of our walk were at GZ and from afar we could see where they were standing. It was an important lesson on what we must look like to other people. It also told us where we needed to look for the cache.
We walked up to them and I have to admit I wasn’t playing the most closest of attention. It was quite embarrassing but I couldn’t find the cache until my Mrs Woodyrothwell walked over and said there it is. tftc

Very clever! This one was a bit different and caught us out for a bit but we got there thanks again
A quick find and the second of these we have come across today, the other being in Burnie on the way to Stanley.
Also found a rusty old metal railway spike near GZ.
Thanks.

Thanks.
We are in Stanley for a wee break away, but the real purpose of course is to log the veritable forest of new caches which have appeared since our last visit. Wind is strong east-nor'easter so we chose to do the walking trail on bikes where it is relatively sheltered. Sailed along the beach with the wind behind us, and logged most of the caches on the way back. Not where one might be led to believe, so a good one Angus88.
Found by Peter and Marian at 1208hrs, on nice stroll along the foreshore. TNLN TFTC.
TFTC When I approached the said coordinates and observed the surroundings I instantly thought it maybe a particular cache container and on arrival I was right as we also have one of these caches. Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment
When I headed out for a walk today I did not plan to do all these caches but Urch gave me the impetus to complete them. I really enjoyed the walk and found them all relatively easily, apart from two that I skipped because I didn’t want to cause damage to the sand dunes that appear to have eroded recently. An enjoyable walk - I ended up walking almost 14km in the day, but this loop would have been much shorter than that. The only down side was that I was not dressed appropriately and had not applied sufficient sunscreen, so did get a little sunburnt. TFTC - easy enough find once I looked.
We were visiting Stanley for the day and thought we would try and collect all of the Stanley caches. This one was nice and easy. TFTC
For this S series of cache Geo Kid O and myself went different ways. I went along the path, and Geo Kid O went along the beach and then we met where the path comes back up to the main path. Only one DNF among these caches (Which was not the caches fault) which was surprising as some are tricky hides

3 days off from work, and Geo Kid O joined me on a journey to Stanley and then down along the western explorer road towards Corinna. We have a great time finding a number of caches and driving a road I had not travelled on before.
The Western Explorer road was closed for a while and recently had been reopened with a new bridge near Balfour. Some very interesting sights along the way, with part of the road feeling more like a forest track, and other parts felt like a place where no one else has gone in the past, other than on the road. The open button grass plains were amazing along with the mountain views.
We stayed in Stanely, and the caches in and around Stanely were very good, including one walk to the top of the Nut. Gee that is a steep 400 metre walk.
Thank you for the cache which was part of our journey
