Today we came to Smithson and Stanley to revisit and find as many of the caches published since we were here in January. We had a great day out and found lots of caches. Super spot to visit. We also enjoyed a cheese tasting at the Smithson visitor center and picked up some goodies to bring home. This one is quite tricky if you arent used to this sneaky type of Angus hide. We spent a while here before husband spotted it. TFTC Angus
On a maintenance trip between Port Sorell and Stanley, and now having finished the Teto track walk, it was found that Sydney is in fine form and not missing at all.
Another DNF for today:(( a quick search didnt turn up anything and after a bit of crawling I quickly decided to leave and catch up with my family
Sorry Angus88, after a thorough search I did not come up with the goods today for your Traditional, Sidney. It may be worth a sanity check to see that it is still here, I have been known to be cache blind at times.
Big thanks to Angus88 for creating this cache! Your effort brought an extra spark of excitement to our geocaching quest. This discovery was find number 1,139 for us, marking another memorable moment in our adventure. Living and traveling full-time across Australia in our Coaster Bus, we're always on the lookout for caches to uncover. Currently, we're in Tasmania, planning to explore this beautiful island for around 18 months or so. To see more of our travels, feel free to follow our journey HERE...
Lived in Tasmania for a number of years now however this is my first time North West Tassie. Driving around the area for our 30th wedding anniversary. Looked for a while but could not find. Had to give up early as Husband is not into it caching & there was quite a lot of dog poo dumped in the area. Will have to come back again to find some more & take more time looking. Thanks for the adventure though.
Cannot find. Hints seem to contradict each other. Will try again tomorrow. Wind is playing havoc
The CO had this one checked by Cacher Joshua today. All is well here and thanks go to Joshua for his assistance.
Coordinates changed from:S 40 45.872 E 145 17.388Coordinates changed to:S 40 45.861 E 145 17.433Distance from original: 217.9 feet or 66.4 meters. The original location for this one has been totally decimated with construction work. It is now in a new and nearby location.
Geocacher JOSHUA has reported with photographs that this area has had a complete maintenance do over and that the cache is now MIA. It will be replaced in about three weeks.
Hard to access this area and wasn't sure if I was trespassing? Tried the app navigation as well as putting new coordinates into Google but still no luck.
I suppose TT2 and I are technically FTF for the new coordinates, but I'm not sure that quite counts. A lovely little spot in a lovely town. TFTC!
Coordinates changed from:S 40 45.871 E 145 17.380Coordinates changed to:S 40 45.872 E 145 17.388Distance from original: 37.3 feet or 11.4 meters. The original GZ is a very high muggle area in holiday time. So much so that the CO couldn't get near it without risk when trying to do a maintenance check without being muggled. The cache has been moved to a nearby location still close to the start of the Tatlow Track walk but now sheltered from muggles by bushes and most likely where a cacher would be parked.
Tftc. May leave the beach walk for tomorrow when not so windy. I am staying at RV Park with all the muggles.
Mrs Shifter went for a walk before dinner and located a few caches, this was the first and located quickly as it was in the open. Log signed and the cache was hidden better than it was found. Thanks for the cache Angus88.
Cache blindness is a strange thing, especially when looking for your own and especially if it has recently been found. However, I could not find this one. It has been replaced.
It’s a quiet morning out here today, thankfully not many muggles

Rushed to this one, husband, wife competing on finding it first it makes the trail ones more fun, geo hubby found it first
All was quite here until the muggle above peered over the fence. I think he wasn't sure what I was doing, so I picked up some litter and walked away. Fingers crossed all still OK. So much for getting here early, probably mid day might have been safer.
Found with The X-Trailers after a great morning exploring this great little town. TFTC
Quick find whilst keeping an eye out for muggles in nearby RV Park.

After event caching with icybeetas, gridge98 and Courneyrose_ we decided to do the coastal walking trail caches. Definitely a group effort finding all these. TFTC
A great walk along the beach with icybeetas, nettieknows and gridge98 on our getaway in Stanley. TFTC.
Today with the company of the other attendees of an event this cache was located. Cache and contents were in good condition.
This morning after my event on the water Courtneyrose_, nettieknows, Icybeestas and I made our way along the coastal walking trail then back along the beach over 2 hours to complete the lovely walking trail. All the caches were found in good condition and are all good.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Found it, definitely not where we expected it to be. Easy. And did not write due to no pen.
Great little hiding spot. Easy to find but not of you are not looking. Thanks heaps
Thanks Angus88 for placing this cache. Found on 9/11/2022 at 4:41 pm.

Right at the start of our walk we saw two people hanging around where the cache was and we immediately picked them as fellow geocachers. It was interesting to watch them as we approached and now we know what other people must think when they see my wife and I digging around for some plastic.
We said hello to them and they politely told us where the cache was. This was going to be our last cache of the day before we headed to the pub for some scallop pie and a few beers.
We had left a few caches at the far end of the trail to pickup on our last day in Stanley but unfortunately it was raining and so decided we needed to leave some caches in the area for the next time we are on holiday in the area. Dropping a favourite point here for all the well maintained caches on the trail. tftc
