On a maintenance trip between Port Sorell and Stanley, and now on the Tetlow track walk, it was found that Sergio is in fine form.
The Kings Birthday long weekend caching trip to Stanley is now in the second day. Today we found your cache whilst cleaning out the areas around Stanley and Smithton. An early start for us today and we found this cache at 07:54. Thanks Angus88 for placing Spencer for us to find today. This brings my find count to 4887.
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. This find, Spencer, brings my total to 1667 and was found at 07:54 on 8/6/2024.Thanks Angus88 for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
On a maintain attack today it was found that this one has vanished. It has been replaced.
TFTC!! With the hint in mind I went looking for a Y. I soon knew what Angus88 meant and had this cache!!
Thanks Angus88 for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 1,047 for us We are traveling Australia full time in a Coaster Bus and of course grabbing some caches along the way. [Feel free to follow our journey HERE...](https://linktr.ee/SalandAnth)
Today we headed out to find all the S name caches along the trail and beach, Nut ones hopefully tomorrow. It was a little bit windy but otherwise a perfect afternoon for a walk. Nice quick find with the detailed hint. TFTC Angus
The CO is on a maintenance trip from Latrobe along the north coast and then down the West Coast to Corinna. Today it is the Stanley Tetlow Track hike after doing The Nut caches yesterday. Spencer was found to be in excellent condition so no action required.
Well that was easy. In plain site from track. Will place it back so not so obvious. Tftc.
All is well with Spencer when checked on a wild weather day walking the Tatlow track for a maintenance check.
Found with cache all ok. Heading on up the beach to Silas.
Many tftc...cheers ST.

I can’t say I know of a Spencer, but I do remember watching Frank Spencer and getting a good giggle from his silly antics.

Spencer was safe and sound when checked on a maintenance run of the Tatlow Track on 1st July 2022.
Our 600th cache and the end of this series for us! A great walk and our 4 year old was able to find all the caches herself. A great one for families. Thanks for bringing us here
Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers collecting caches published since our last visit to the area and this was one we found. TFTC
While out and about today with whitewebbs we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
A nice walk along the beach, little wind and calm seas. A quick find, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Spencer was found very quickly but it was a good thing we were riding our bikes as Mr Beetle banged his head on the tree branch while standing up after grabbing the container. His helmet probably saved a headache here.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We are in Stanley for a wee break away, but the real purpose of course is to log the veritable forest of new caches which have appeared since our last visit. Wind is strong east-nor'easter so we chose to do the walking trail on bikes where it is relatively sheltered. Sailed along the beach with the wind behind us, and logged the rest of the caches on the way back. Shady spot to sign Spencer.
Found by Peter and Marian at 1322hrs, just about start our return stroll along the beach. TNLN TFTC
Starting to get weary after 10 km of walking on a hot day (not all on this series though) but now on the home stretch, so have a renewed burst of energy. TFTC.
We were visiting Stanley for the day and thought we would try and collect all of the Stanley caches. Nice to get close to the heading back point as the geokids were getting a bit over it. Once the right tree was identified it was a quick easy find. TFTC
For this S series of cache Geo Kid O and myself went different ways. I went along the path, and Geo Kid O went along the beach and then we met where the path comes back up to the main path. Only one DNF among these caches (Which was not the caches fault) which was surprising as some are tricky hides

3 days off from work, and Geo Kid O joined me on a journey to Stanley and then down along the western explorer road towards Corinna. We have a great time finding a number of caches and driving a road I had not travelled on before.
The Western Explorer road was closed for a while and recently had been reopened with a new bridge near Balfour. Some very interesting sights along the way, with part of the road feeling more like a forest track, and other parts felt like a place where no one else has gone in the past, other than on the road. The open button grass plains were amazing along with the mountain views.
We stayed in Stanely, and the caches in and around Stanely were very good, including one walk to the top of the Nut. Gee that is a steep 400 metre walk.
Thank you for the cache which was part of our journey

Ok... 20 or so caches with S names are to be found so i decided on the Anti-Clockwise way, then along the beach on my way back. The wind was gonna be an issue with water pouring outta my cold-wind-sensitive eyes so i was gonna need more time than usual.
Easy does it, was the order of the day for me Probably a good thing coz it means i will slow down and DNF's are less likely to happen.
Bring on the good ol' windy days ha ha
Spencer was found and it's dry log was signed at 12:20 on Wednesday 13 October 2021.

This series of caches, all very close to home, has been saying "find me, find me" for some time, so today, with the tide right and overcast skies producing occasional drizzle, enough to deter the muggles, I set off. I attacked them in the opposite order to suggested, so there was a bit of confusion when RHS was actually LHS, but otherwise, thanks to clear directions and hints most of them (1 DNF) were soon found, signed and replaced as found. All were in good condition and it was nice to find a variety of containers and hides. There were just one or two dog walking muggles on the beach and no one at all on the other track or playing golf. It was a very pleasant walk, with wonderful scenery all the way, but I was pleased to finally make it home just as night was falling and treat myself to a comfortable chair and a lovely hot cup of coffee.
Many thanks to Angus88 for creating and maintaining this series, and I will give them all favourites for the wonderful area you have placed them in.

We are spending a long weekend in the beautiful township of Stanley and exploring the area and enjoying the broader North West coast. Of course geocaching is also on our mind and we are looking forward to collecting as many of the new and previously outstanding caches as possible over the next few days.
The weather was quite showery and blustery today After a nice late breakfast we decided to tackle the Nut first. The bonus of the weather was that there were lots of rainbows, even some double rainbows throughout our walk which just added to the amazing vistas.
After lunch we tackled the Tatlows Beach Loop and collected all the caches along the way. Things of note were pesky muggles for the first few caches so we had to come back to them; needed to be aware of golfing muggles along the golf course stretch the ones who’s balls had strayed came quite close to the track; there was a wonderful array of bird life around; once back onto the beach side the wind dropped the sun came out and it was glorious.
Thank you Angus88 for placing and maintaining all these caches in Stanley . A favourite point for the series from us.

CO Maintenance run. Spencer was safe in his spot but his log was dead. He has been replaced with a new container and a second container holding the log in an effort to keep it dry. The hiding spot remains unchanged.
out and about with Lil Rafa caching for my holidays in the north and north west, TFTC TNLN log dry, a pity we only had so much time in this lovely area, lots of things we could have done.
a lovely day we were blessed with good weather again.

Thanks for the cache Angus88.
In Stanley for a couple of nights with RLD4963. It was a gorgeous sunny day today, so we were keen to tackle the caches on the Tatlow's loop. A couple of DNF's but it was such a gorgeous morning, thoroughly enjoyed our walk today.
I know two dogs names Spencer, a golden lab, and a red Border collie, both of them are very cuddly! A nice quick find. Thanks for placing this series along this wonderful track.

The first of many caches found today after camping the night at black river. We parked the car near here and walked into Stanley along the beach, up and around the nut, then returned along the track. What a fantastic walk on an absolutely glorious winter's day. The weather was so nice there were even people in the sea. TFTC!

We did the northern part of this loop a couple of weeks ago and today decided that we'd come to Stanley to vote and then do the southern part of the track. This cache was a quick find with the aid of the hint. Thanks for the cache
We came to Stanley today to complete maintenance on a cache that we have inherited from the late RobTas. While here we took the opportunity to look for some caches that have been published since our last visit. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Angus88 for this and other caches in the area.
