A lovely area and a great view. The Fish is planning an event already! Owl loved the doctor's sentiments. And that the cache didn't require acrobatics!

A most excellent caching day out with an owl and a dragon.

I've driven and cycled along the Esplanade many times and never knew this nice little park existed.

Thanks for bringing us here Azzo.

Mr Tardis had attended an event nearby and walked over to find this multi.

After calculating GZ, I found the cache after a short search.

I had some free time between Goldy and Sparkie's Magic Maker event at Aldinga Beach and sir_spectre's CITO at Hackham West.

I came here for one final cache with Flaker2rule after our walk through Aldinga Scrub.

After talking a little bit about how nice the view was, we did the sums and made the short walk to GZ where a quick find was made.

I did let out a big "ouch!" while retrieving the cache. A nice fun challenge at the end.

All is well with this cache.

Thanks azzo7777 for this multi cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3234 on the 1st of July 2023.

CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it!

Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!

Three befuddled geo animals, went on a Wednesday wander.
The Rat and the Adder met the Starfish in Aldinga.
Our plan was to gather as many caches as we could.
A quick find for the trio today. tftc

06-Jul-22
The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group had us heading back South to Aldinga Beach search of solved puzzles and anything else we came across. Surprised Today it was myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats. [^] By the end of the day we had scratched the surface and will have to return again soon. I also added to my ever expanding DNF list - Doh Big Grin Still found quite a few and had a few laughs. Cool

We had already finished our fish'n'chips so no Magpie swooping here. Just another Azzo cache found. Smile And by me this time.....Hoot!

***Thanks azzo7777 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

18-May-22
The usual Wednesday wander of the Befuddled consisting of just the Adders and Astro. with the Starfish injuring his back and the Rat unable to join us meant that there was only the two of us available.

The target area for the day was Aldinga and surrounds. An area that had been planned previously but did not eventuate in success with many diversions seeking other hides.

As always, all caches were visited and signed by all members of the group or each member had a part to play in retrieving the prize.

All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.

A quick find with no one around, future finders may find this difficult as time goes on when those nasty plants grow.

Pretty appropriate name as we had a couple of Maggie's watching us solve this one from their shady tree.

Today I asked Peas&CarrotsForever to come for a drive with me down south to assist me with picking up a piece of furniture, oh and some geocaching of course. It turned out to be nearly an 8 hour round trip!! . We had a fun day

With the promise of a reasonable day (after the weather we’ve been experiencing over the past few days), I decided to head south to the Aldinga area for a few caches. My main targets were some previously solved puzzle caches and some multis that looked like they would be pretty quick and straightforward.

The required information was gathered, final coordinates determined and the cache was quickly found in good condition a short distance away. I even saw a couple of magpies nearby.

Thanks azzo7777 for the cache.

Supposed to be doing lots of chores today but found myself down in aldinga first chasing some caches. Was a little frustrating as I could really have done with my ladder but the Geohusband has it.
Found about 10 including a few multis and other bits and pieces the march to 15000 continues slowly.

No magpies here, but I did have to share some of my roll at lunchtime with a local magpie.

I had planned a day down at Aldinga and surrounds getting some of the new caches that have popped up. I left later than I had hoped as it was raining at home and looking very grey, but decided that I might as well go for a drive and tackle the showers if and when they came! It started off dry but after the first few the rain came down, not too hard but just enough to wet me right through when I was looking for one particular cache. Surprised I didn't find as many as I had on my list, but still had a good afternoon even if I had to sit out the rain a couple of times. Big Grin

This was the one where I got very wet. It wasn't raining very much when I left the car, but while I was looking for the cache it was enough to really wet me, but did I give up...no!! Gathered the info worked out where GZ was and headed there. Was on the right side, then the wrong side and back to the right side where the cache was found not quite where I thought it was going to be. Red Face

Thanks for the cache Azzo. Smile

AH good name for a cache, we love maggies. We have befriended one, or she has befriended us, we arent sure.
We first met her on a really hot run of days back in January, she just lay in the dirt by the side of the house, kinda trusted that we wouldnt hurt her as we put out water and a bit of raw meat to try and help her. We know the bird world is tough and seems to have a policy of "survival of the fittest" but we couldnt watch her die. After a few days of drinking our water and nibbling on our raw meat offerrings she diappeared, which pleased us as we knew she must be strong enough to fly again. She was very young but hopefully we gave her the start her tough love mum wouldnt.
She comes back everyday, some days she gets a bit of meat, but it seems like she is just popping in for a visit like an old friend.
They say a magpie can identify 2000 faces ...... how did they work that out? Flash cards held up for identification, got to card 2001 and the magpie panics because its unfamiliar? Sounds like a bit of BS.
Thanks Azzo for the cache and a chance to tell our magpie story. TNLNSL

Detoured on the way home from work after doing some chores. Not fish and chips for me, it's way past my dinner time and time to turn on the torch. Quick solve and a short stroll and a quick find. That leaves me with about 51 calendar day left for multis, not to back since it was 149 mid last july.

7 years of travelling Australia and yet we have never visited Normanville so we are here now to rectify that. With clouds overhead, abut warmer weather on the way today it was time to pop up north to Aldinga & Sellicks Beach.

Lovely area glad we got here today! No fish n chips today just a boring ham sandwich. Great spot.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Found It!
Nice little park that I don't think I've ever been to before. No one else here today so I collected the numbers, did the maths, wandered over to GZ and soon spotted the cache. Getting the cache out was a little difficult though, my arm was only just long enough!

First azzo7777 FTF
First FTF in Onkaparinga LGA
First time I’ve caught a bus to get a FTF

My car is being serviced in Mile End and I have the day to kill. I've had fun caching by public transport before in Melbourne and Sydney, and already knowing that OTD December passes the Seaford stations, I hop on a train.

I'm near the Seaford Interchange when this is published, and after consulting the Metro app, work out I can be at Aldinga shops in about 45 minutes. Let's give it a shot!

WP1 is deserted (apart from the two magpies) when I finally arrive (the 751 bus goes via everywhere), and a relatively quick find is made, although this would be trickier if there were muggles around.

This FTF certainly made my day. Thanks so much azzo7777, definite FP here!
