Find # 10606On a brief work trip to Tassie and I have a long list of caches to collect so no time for spinning the wheels Couldnt believe my luck to land this trip before year end so I can soon qualify for a number of different challenges requiring a visit to the 8 S/T in the year. Picked up the trusty SUV hire car on arrival and off I got. Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases I enjoyed these puzzles, tricky and all. And the hide is great camo. Thanks so much for the many caches Budgietas and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light

I ate my meat, so I get pudding. Excellent hide, with a refreshed logsheet too. There is also the bonus of having a leg of an adventure cache here as well. TFTC

TFTC.
The find was quite easy, unlike the puzzle, but it was a D5 afterall.
Anyway, after wandering around kunanyi foothills for 5hrs on an HWC walk - with too many ups for my liking - I drove here, made a quick find in the first place I looked, and it's fair to say that the extraction required a little more effort.
Thanks Budgietas, for this caching experience.
Cheers, EPs.

Thanks for the puzzle cache Budgietas.
Have had this one solved for a while, but that first stage of the puzzle took quite a stretch of time. Anyway, then with a bit more info coords that the checker agreed with.
Today I was in the general area of GZ so paid a visit - all clear with no muggles in sight. Found the hide - my goodness, that took a lot to move. got there in the end and added my name to the log.

This is another one of those caches that I solved some time ago and have been sitting in the solution.
After dropping someone at Calvary, I had some time to go caching before my next taxi run.
As I was in the area, I targeted a couple of HSLS caches and 2 of Budgietas’s - this being the first of those.
Had to wait out the 3 people looking at their car and then just as they left a dog walking their muggle turned up. I was interested in the architecture….
Thanks for the cache Budgie

I found this cache on the final morning of my trip to Tasmania from Adelaide to visit family and friends and find a few caches.

Today was spent doing a few specific caches of interest around Hobart.

This was a nice quick find. Container and logbook are in good condition.

Thanks Budgietas for the puzzle and the cache.

Well after a decent amount of assistance I’ve ticked this one off!

I don’t even feel bad I needed help as I spent about a weeks worth of evenings doing that damn puzzle! I wasn’t about to give up after that mammoth effort!

Today we decided to trek into Hobart and surrounds and find a few more caches that we have not found and to make them a smilie. A very cold, windy and a tad wet but braved the coooooooold weather and rugged up for the occacion.

Well this was not as easy as the first, wow glad we had plent of time on our hands, quiet a few hours have gone by before the first answer was revealed. Once calculated out, part 2, we had a set of co-ords that the checker liked. Again an excellent magnet, Mr "T" had this one in hand, had to wait till baby scooter muggles left.

Cache and contents were in excellent condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After being defeated by another one of the CO's hides earlier this evening and the CO running me home to get my other car and some jumper leads to deal with the flat battery and cranky wife at the other hide, i needed a find for my found date calendar.
Tonight it was a very easy find because i had previously eyeballed the cache hide. In fact i had missed it on my initial search of the area i know well not long after the puzzle came out. So about the puzzle... when it first came out i started solving it on my phone. This was not the wisest choice. I was 4 hours in and i had to go to bed so put it down to find that the next day it was gone. I dutifully set back about the task of solving the first stage (using a pc and registering a jigidi account) and after 16 hours of work over about a 24 hour period, i had some further information. By this time, the cache had been found by others. I looked at it for probably as long as i was looking at the bricks in the first part of the puzzle, possibly longer. I tried a few things that seemed obvious but there was nothing useful there. Expanded possibilities and went down more and more wormholes. I learned a lot about bricks, bricklaying, masons, clay and all manners of things. Going down one wormhole, i had a solution that was feasible but the checker wouldnt agree. I came back over several visits and checked all the spots i could think of (both where i thought it could be and solutions i had derived from the information). Eventually i reached out and was told indeed it was nowhere near the place i had spent the most time on with my puzzle solution. I tried several other methods of solving, exhausted every toolbox and started to go daft. I explained to another finder some of the methods I'd tried and was suggested to have another go at some of them. Actually it was maybe the first or second method I'd tried, something i was just instinctively drawn to rather than for any reason. Seems i had folded too quickly as upon revisiting previous work, a sensible path to an answer hit me in the face like a frying pan.
I think the time spent solving that jigsaw alone was worth a D5, let alone having more parts to the puzzle!

Took a couple of hours off of work today to catch up with our caching friend bella at waggy who was in town. We met up at the final for this one and a quick find was made with good coords before heading to the next one. Nice to turn this one into a smiley face after spending many, many hours solving the jigidi puzzle (the hard way!). A nice hide & nice to spend a couple of hours caching with b@w. TFTC!
Cheers,

On the out leg on a short trip to Tassie we meet Mr H for some select caches.
These two caches in this series certainly caught our eye. The first part was dispatch but what to do with the second part. We had some ideas but just needed to apply them correctly. A reasonable clear area for the search and a nice hide was found. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC #51

It took 23 hours spread over 4 days yo complete the jigsaw - very demanding. When we saw the additional information from the jigsaw, the format looked familiar and it wasn't long before sensible information was being obtained. That is, until late in the process and we had to look for alternative information sources. That hurdle was overcome quickly and we had a set of coordinates which pleased the geochecker.

Today we came to Hobart to visit family, in particular our daughter who had just returned on the MPV Everest (yes, the one where there was a fire on board) after 6 months in Antarctica. However we still managed a few caches and this was one. Accurate coordinates and a common style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks BudgieTas for a testing puzzle and the cache.

Hi Budge
This puzzle was even less ***THARKING*** funny than the first
This cache was found soon after the ***THARKING*** first in this area
Sainted quickly at 1320 hours
Thanks for the ***THARKING*** fun!!!!!
Cheers OldSaint

Now after the slog was over I made the next stage out as soon as i read it and it was a small matter to get some helpful numbers out of my workings, it was a quick find at GZ before we were on our way again.

With the goose doing the driving again (this time due to my car being sick and not me thankfully) our options were more limited than normal but with some new local caches we had days worth of caching in front of us and we made the most of it.

Thanks for the cache.

Gee it would be nice to be retired to sink the time into puzzles like this without the interruption of work. That's a few years away! There could be grandchildren interruptions by then Razz
Being partially colourblind has it's advantages, I'll tell you what they are once I know! [B)]
We had to wait out a couple of muggles but sipped our coffees and looked around the area. Once they has gone, accurate coordinates led us to the cache quickly. I spotted it and SSR grabbed it.
Thanks for the 5/1. I had 6 but now 7.
A favourite for this one!

After a weekend of thinking it all came together, All in all it is a great cache. Thanks Budgietas

A nicely created puzzle. The hardest part was putting the jigsaw together, that took a while but once the info appeared it all fell into place. Found in an area not visited before. A favourite for the hide (not for the jigsaw).

Unfortunately the first step seems to time out after 4 hours on a phone. It was about 25% done. *cries*

Male membsec spent most of the night doing the Jigidi only to find that when he went back to it this morning, it didn't save????? Many words were stated, but all good as he had a better understanding of the grouping of pieces.

Lady membsec was chatting to some geocachers up north on the mainland about the puzzle and we nutted out a few things. We were so delighted to not only get the checker to agree but to actual find the beast! Lady membsec needed all her strength for this one and had wondered if she was doing the correct thing. So glad to see an empty log book so will claim a **FTF** at 1:15. Sorry for the late log, thought I had sent the message off but instead it was still in my draft.

Thanks Budgietas for the puzzle and the great D/T, Tassie needs more D/T's that we don't have.
