TFTC! Interesting location.Greetings from Jule and Franz from Thuringia, Germany
Geotrail up to this one. Best to follow the path beside the road, rather than make the geotrail even worse. The log was damp and difficult to write on, so I only wrote GW. TFTC Wollaston.
Quick find here. Thanks for the cache.Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Moon's day the fourteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit cooler today. It was so windy today. A few showers. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found with Pat5280. Visiting from SA for a few days and picking up the odd cache here and there. Log was a bit wet but otherwise in ok condition. Tftc
Found by The Empire + HAs we finally arrive in Warrnambool, the cool ocean breeze greets us, and we can feel the excitement of the running festival in the air. We make our way to the holiday park and check into our cabin, a cozy spot nestled among the trees. After settling in and dropping off our bags, the draw of the waterfront pulls us outside. We take a leisurely walk along the beach, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore calming our nerves ahead of tomorrow's half marathon. The salty sea air and the wide-open horizon feel refreshing after the drive, and we stroll along the path, soaking in the views of the ocean. A couple of quick caches before a 3km shake-out run in the late arvo, getting ready for the big run tomorrow morning. Thanks for the cache Wollaston.-M
Coming from Kingston we arrived at our final goal Warrnambool in the late afternoon. After setting up our campervan we made a little walk to the seaside and passed by this tradi cache. With the help of the hint we found the cache easily. Thanks a lot for this box,Murkel,on tour with Mukel111. September 2024 18:39
Heading to the east and home today. An easy find once I was in the right location.
A nice straight forward find as l went for a wander this afternoon and managed to grab this cache as l headed to the break water. Plenty of passing cars but they didn't seem to concerned with me watching over them as l signed the log. Many thanks for the hide and the brief history of the viaduct.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Spending a few days in Warrnambool to grab some local finds. Great location but chilly today. Thanks for the hideLNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. Thanks for placing this cache. LNCU.
Up in the Mount for a Radio Convention and a mental heath break. On the way home. More caches to go. Cold and wet. Thanks for taking me here. Thanks for a great cache.
Found this with gridge98 on our road trip to Victoria. We took the great ocean road to Warrnambool, then to Ballarat and Halls Gap. Fantastic trip away over 5 days. Thanks for the cache!
A nice find here in between the cars, cache is all goodcourtneyrose_ and I headed away to Victoria for a 5 day trip for me to partake in the Ballarat Marathon. Along the way we made our way to the great ocean road to explore the area, after both of us had not been there for many years. We then headed to Ballarat for 2 nights before heading to Halls Gap for a scenic experience for the night before making our way back to home to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache.
There are not too many spots to place a hide here. I spotted it from the footpath. I had to wait for a random to go past, but she ended up walking back to where she came from. Do I look that sketchy?! Cheers for the hide!
Too easy!!! Thanks to the generous clue.Only issue here was the muggles, this is obviously a very popular spot! This is one part of Warrnambool that I remember from our last visit in 2011. Got a few caches down here and remember walking out to the end of the breakwater for one. Guess a lot of the caches we got back then have gone to caching heaven now. Thanks Wollaston for another cache in this city.
Saw some fisherman cleaning their catch at the cleaning station. Seems to be a fishing competition. Went on to find a catch of our own. TFTC!
Whilst waiting for low tide so I can attempt a nearby cache, I decided to collect a few in the area to help pass the time.Heaps of walkers out this morning!! Cache was found at 6:07am and the track was very busy. All is good here. Thanks for the hide
#14,495. I have come over to Australia to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega event and travelling around with geocaching buddy Infoferret. We are now making our way east to Melbourne but staying at Geelong tonight. The target today is a series of challenge caches but virtuals, earthcaches and adlabs are always of interest and we are sprinkling in some traditionals and multis to boost the number of counties for various challenges. Stayed overnight in the lovely town of Warrnambool which I last visited in 2002. Before we hit the road we are doing some local caches. This is one of them. Wandered down the path. While I was admiring the views and the birdlife, IF slipped her hand into a tight spot and plucked out the cache. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks Wollaston for hiding it here.
8 March 2024 09:37 TFTC Wollaston for placing this cache, number 13519 for me. Good first find of the day between the passing muggles. In Australia with GSEL and a fair few other NZ cachers, having a lot of fun, and trying to find as many interesting caches as we can today, of which this is one. Logs signed as GI if full names not present. Many, many, thanks Wollaston for setting this cache up. Your work is truly appreciated by this crazy Kiwi! TFTC.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present, and emerging.
Having spent a fantastic morning at the Warnambool Wildlife Encounter getting close up and cuddly with lots of Australia's native species (well worth the visit), we came down to the headland to get a breath of sea air. Nice easy find. Tftc
As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip. Now has Ellen Sch, MrVon sr and Insve started on their jurney home to Norway so we now sign logs with our nick.
We're heading west to attend [The Great Leap Forward](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA1DNA) Mega in Adelaide and decided to take the opportunity to find a few geocaches in the LGA's on this side of Victoria. It was only a short detour off the main highway to get this one but the fact that there was a carpark suitable for our car and caravan nearby put this find high on our target list. Thanks for find #5410TNLN
Bullertrout, Nanzie and i are caching our way to Adelaide for the mega. Picking up what we can in the time available. All logs are being signed as BT, N, PC or some variation of that to save space. TFTC Wollaston#15158
PCBTN On our trip to join our other caching friends in Adelaide for the Mega. Thanks for this cache Wollaston
Tijdens de Great Ocean Road route hier gestopt voor een overnachting. Tijdens een wandeling deze gevonden. Bedankt!
The weather couldn't quite decide what to throw at us today. We couldn't always distinguish whether seaspray or light rain Geoteen pretended not to know me - again!! Lots of muggles around as you would expect but appearing to be weird is much easier when you're already most of the way there Lots of things to watch here today & the Timboon icecream was lush. Many thanks
Lasciato l'aeroporto, con NitiFlex arriviamo alla costa, visitiamo la cittadina con qualche cache da cercare.TFTC

The first physical geocache for year 2024 which was a short walk from the multi with my 12yo who spotted the hide at gz. tftc
Found with sir_spectre while out and about in the South East on our Christmas road trip.I really enjoyed our stop here to learn the history of the area. Thanks
Stopped on the way to the nearby virtual. a quick find at gz. I was getting my numbers up to 20 finds in this LGA. Found with Mogni. I think this is the most changed trip in the planning stage that i have ever been on. The " original trip " was supposed to start on the 31st of dec but at the start of decemeber life changed and the trip was now starting on the 26th of decemeber and all accommodation that had booked cancelled and now see what else is free on the ealier dates. A major readjust of plans and got 1/2 the trip booked before the next curve ball came in to alter the plans again. More adjusting the plans again and i realized i could host 2 CITO's in 2 different LGA's in victoria. What we do to qualify for victorian challenge caches. Also i got my 20, 000 cache over in victoria in this trip. It was decided in the end that the 4x4 was going to be the vechicle for this trip that way we could go and target all the caches that you never get, the ones down the sandy/rocky/dirt and forestry roads/tracks. We left Adelaide and headed to Casterton for a couple of days, then to Budj Bim National Park ( and saw 5 koalas in the camp ground high up in the trees ), then over Heywood, a night in Mount Gambier plus there attended the 3rd CITO of the trip before sending a few nights in Millicent and then finally home. Over 250 caches found plus 86 lab caches. Mogni also got her 11th D/T loop. I also got 3 more victorian LGA's up to 20 finds mininium for another victorian challenage cache. If the cache was broken/eaten/smashed it was reaced with a new container and if the logsheet was wet it was replaced and if the log was full or almost full extra log sheets were added to the cache.
Today we arrived in Warrnambool together with Aurema and Rejoho to celebrate Christmas with the family. We come from the Netherlands and the weather here is like home. Still going to the sea and logging this cache. TFTC
Visiting family in Warrnambool together with Aumare and Rejoho. Of course I couldn't resist logging a cache here. Super beautiful place with wind force 8! Thanks for the cache and maintenance!
Weve treated ourselves to 2 nights in a caravan park with a Black Friday deal. Today is day 2 we had a nice little tour around town and collected 19 caches, tried to get to 20 but ended the day with 2 x dnf .We had a super day and managed to get all our city chores done between caches.Nice quick find and sign here TFTC
Had set my sights on an attempt on the nearby Treacherous Sanctuary cache.Whilst waiting for peak low tide, we ventured to locate this hide.Even though it was incredibly busy down here on the point, it was a relatively easy feat to remain stealthy finding and logging this hide.Regretfully I 'd out on going for the one I really wanted. Hopefully, next time TFTC Wollaston.
scramping & I were visiting Warrnambool for a 4-day long weekend. After our event Chook (ChooknChunk), Eviloffspring, scramping & I did some caching around town.A lovely short walk to this cache and a quick find before enjoying a delicious lunch at the cafe across the road.TFTC Wollaston
Hevwalker and I were in Warrnambool for a 4 day caching holiday and caught up with Chooknchunk yesterday to do the Tower Hill caches and come to our event where we met Eviloffspring who helped us around the town and found some caches around the area. We enjoyed a walk to find this one, the muggles were all around so we needed to use stealth. We quickly had the cache in hand, signed and replaced as found. We decided to the have a bite to eat at the nearby cafe, and yum definitely a worth the visit. TFTC.
After attending an event this morning in Warrnambool, Chook teamed up with Hevwalker, Scramping and Eviloffspring to find a few more caches around town before she had to head home.It was lunch time, but of course we had to do a quick stop here first before going over the road to enjoy really lovely food and cake. A nice quick find - TFTC Wollaston.
We didn't have time to visit Merri Island today so a stroll along the viaduct was a good option instead. Plenty of swimmers out there enjoying the sunshine and surprisingly warm Warrnambool weather. A keen eye spotted the cache at GZ and after a gap in the traffic, the log was signed. TFTC.
A quick reach over and grab, i love when i can see where the hide is but know that if it wasnt for my geoskills i wouldnt have spotted itPika
I found this cache towards the end of a 3km hike, with my phone on just 4% battery remaining, so I was hoping it wouldnt conk out before I got to GZ! A nice easy find, log signed, then a short walk back to my accommodation to recharge my phone. TFTC!
Something special or unusual goes here:A nice quick find. Where else could it be. The Generic Bit:Both Bri and Sal are on the road for a holiday. [^] Holiday - Not a caching trip. This means if we are stopping for a rest, lunch, dinner or to see something whilst on holiday and there just happens to be a cache nearby then maybe Bri can go and try to find it. Maybe. Day 15 : Today was the penultimate day of our Holiday. Today we left Warrnambool and made our way back into S.A. Only as far as Robe though for our last overnight stop. After a day of little caching yesterday we managed to make a few stops for finds on the way today. We also managed a few Adventure Labs **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks Wollaston for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
The sky was blue and the sea was turquoise. No muggle paid attention to what we were doing in the middle of the road despite lots of cars passing by. Cache was quickly in hand.
This one visited during our stay in Warrnambool. Greetings from the Netherlands .
Found it with muggle friends while visiting from Scotland. My nimble host found the cache in record time. Thank you for placing it! SL
A bit of history that I never knew about.
Thanks for the Traditional Cache Wollaston
