I followed the updated hint from a PF and found the cache in the first place I looked. TFTC.
Awesome place, awesome hint and awesome hiding spot.We had lots of fun! Awesome!
Container on the ground. Log book full and wet. Now wedged in the tree 500mm above ground.
A beautiful hot sunny summers day. On our way to Collingwood who has come over from Melbourne. A good find with a tiny bit of bush bashing. Cache is fine. Thanks for the placement.
I have my collection of pens with me (30 plus) just to make sure I always have one -on our trip in June I was often without one! Found on the way back from Cape Farewell.I am back to being a late logger -grr. Apologies.Day 1 of The Wellingtonians are back tour with TwigNZ, YetiNZ, Mr-Mcgoo. After the last trip, with more caches for us to find, we decided we had to return. And, of course, there will be days of laughter, usually at my expense .During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Sidewaze.
((# 8131) Day 1 of a caching trip to the Nelson/Golden Bay area for a repeat trip for the four amigos. Tripping with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. A day full of hilarity with nobody being spared being the butt of the jokes. Signed the log with NMTY.
Thanks Sidewaze for bringing me here.
Thanks Sidewaze for bringing me here.
Back in June, four Wellingtonians (NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ and YetiNZ) came down to visit the Nelson region. We had such a blast that we decided to do it again, and here we are!

Day 1, and we were driving from Nelson up to the most northerly cache on the Mainland, before then making our way back to Takaka for the night.
We were now heading south, and stopping along the way at many interesting caches. I already had quite a few of them thanks to a campervan roadtrip I did back in 2020 but this was one I hadn't stopped at on that trip, so it was good to get it this time around.
Thank you for setting this one up.

Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. We had such a good time that just a few months later we decided to do it again. The same team to the same location, with the same agenda. The only real goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding more of the unfound geocaches in the area.
Day one of this trip took us all the way out to Cape Farewell and then back to Tākaka. We stopped at many caches along the way, and this was one of them.
One of the (many) themes of our trip here was ensuring we all always had a pen on us. This cache was the only time that one of our team forgot his pen. He never did that again.
Most of our find here we signed the log with the collective name of N.M.T.Y to represent the four of us: NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ, and YetiNZ.
---
Thanks to Sidewaze for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

We were in the bay to do some maintenance on our caches over there, and to find a few along the way. It was a stunningly beautiful crisp morning, we thought we would get some caching done before the crappy weather that was forecasted arrived.
This one was on the opposite side of the road to the way we were travelling but as there was no traffic around and we knew there was a sizable parking area we zipped across the road and headed to look for the cache.
It was al a bit wet and greasy around the area but gk soon made his way to the cache and was signing the log.
What a fabulous way to start the day, thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

only required one electric shock because i was being a knuckle head, but found it
Thanks for this find on the way through. Wasn't where I was expecting, but once we rechecked the coords, it was exactly where it said it was
Back up to Nelson for 3 cellsites and a few highway drives. Picking up the odd cache for my 300 minutes challenge, challenge caches and whatever else really.
Quickly found, nicely hidden away
TFTC Sidewaze, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 6 find(s) of 10 today, making this find #4053

Found with teenz04 on a holiday mission from Wainui. Quick, easy find. TFTC!
Had tried for this one before but not enough time or too many muggles. No.13 and i had place to ourselves. Tftc
With a great day forecast we decided on Collingwood as a starting point and see how much caching we could get done on the way back home. We recall finding a cache here before and the lonely fruit stall still seemingly abandoned in the corner. The cache has a perfect colour for its environment and it took a close look before it was discovered in plain sight. Mother weka was loudly protesting as we proved to have put ourselves between her and her baby. We're happy to report though that no animals were hurt while locating this cache Thank you Sidewaze
We decided on a day trip to Golden Bay and headed straight to Collingwood for the AdventureLab there, our normal routine being to head to the furthest away and cache back towards base.
This was the only other cache targeted between Collingwood and Takaka today. It was only after reading recent logs we found it, having wrongly assumed it was at a different level. After signing it was returned the way we found it.
Thank you Sidewaze.

Mrs SoBad scouted around to find the best route for her to get to GZ. It must have been a good choice as she came out the same way. We were puzzled with the name as we thought of this as the Lookout - but then we saw the sign.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Paddle chick and I are caching in Golden Bay for the day nice easy find thanks Sidewaze
I seem to remember having found a cache at this lookout years ago. This one was found quickly lying out on the ground between two hint items so put back at the base of the one that seemed the most logical. Thanks for placing Sidewaze

I wasn't feeling that great today, so instead of walking to Seperation point we walked the Hydro walk instead...it did not disappoint! I loved all history of the walk We grabbed a few caches after the hike as well.
Another quick find, although we had to be a bit sneaky as there was muggles here doing a child exchange

You can see Taranaki on a good day, but today is not a good day. Lucky to see 200 metres. But we are here for the cache today. The view would have been a bonus.
Quick find of a familiar container. How did you get one of those? All good here, TFTC sidewaze.

Once Piwaka54 pointed out that I was in the wrong place - lovely blackberry ( not). Safely found and a great excuse to stop here!
A lovely spot for a coffee break.
We had the place to ourselves so no muggle issues as I scrambled up to GZ.
Thanks for putting this here

Today's plan is to finish off the Milnthorpe Park caches and try to locate a few towards Takaka.
A bit of a view from up here.
Cheers for the cache.

Stopped off on my way back from Collingwood. After a look around I found the cache in the grass. I replaced it where it was probably supposed to be. TFTC
A few of both hint items in the area made for a number of possible items to search, but ultimately we were unsuccessful.
Once got ourselves into the area it was a quick find. A lot of rain made a slower entry. TFTC
A couple of nights away on a trip over this way for Stretch0 's birthday A short scramble and find - log signed - thanks for the cache
Day 17 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Picked up a few caches in Motueka this morning before driving on to Pakawau in Golden Bay and collecting a few more along the way. Stopped here to take in the view. Then checked to see if there were any caches nearby and, of course, this one was! Took a brief moment to locate it after checking one or two trees before hitting the correct one! #4203. TFTC.
We did not even notice this spot on the way in, thanks for making us aware of it; nice to enjoy the view! TFTC!!
On a mission to find two Geotour caches. On my way back from Collingwood I stopped here for a quick find. No view today. Wet and misty. TFTC
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a day trip from Takaka to Pupu Springs and, later, Collingwood, on a beautiful autumn day.
Left this for the drive back but it had started clouding over a bit so not quite as good a view as it would have been earlier in the day. TFTC.

A nice quick find thanks.
Another long weekend, another wee road trip, this time up to Golden Bay area, with Ms_KR. The daylight hours are are certainly getting shorter, but luckily the weather is mostly dry and warm. Today we cruised Over to Golden Bay and back to Motueka.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

There were two motorhomes parked up on my way past earlier but the park was empty as I returned. Great views as usual. Cache not in the first place I looked but shortly after. TFTC # 16,877
That the second cache we have missed the ftf..I should turn my alerts on for south lol..found many thanks sidwayz
Too slow for a first to find but at least 2nd to find. Interesting view from here and name of hill is similar to our surname. Thanks for bringing us here Sidewaze
FTF Today I took a drive over to Golden Bay, mainly to complete the set of Natural Wonders and find a few other caches along the way. Weather was perfect, a cool autumn morning that warmed up nicely by the afternoon. The convertible cachemobile was the perfect vehicle for this outing. Nice one! This is the cache that completed my Natural Wonders collection! It took me longer to find it than it should have done as I'd made an assumption about the hide which turned out to be wrong. Finally spotted the cache and signed the blank log. TFTC, Biggles.
