Today we have had a big caching trip to Port Sorrel looking for as many caches as we could find in my quest to get to our next milestone by the end of November. Weve got no chance but definitely have no chance if we dont even try. As most caches required shanks pony our numbers were limited to around 30 finds for the day along with 3 dnf. Our primary focus to begin with was the 4 low tide caches all of which were successfully found. We then spent a while at Squeaking Point before a walk along the main trail near Hawley Beach. Thanks mainly to Spreyton and Angus88 for the bulk of our finds and of course to all the other hiders for adding enjoyment to our day. I walked 20,000 steps and 15km.Last one in this reserve enjoyed the walk TFTC
Thanks for the Cache Find#258Find(GCA)#5Find (Total)#263Search/SL Time=>30S/Device= S24 (Exynos)
The bush has some pretty colours showing through. After wearing GeoCleo out walking, swimming and running around the coastline finding all the Squeaking Point Track caches, I left her to have a nap in the back of the Ute while I wandered off into the bush to find these caches.TFTC Spreyton22Keep smiling
We have cached here on a couple of previous occasions, and for some reason this hide was not logged. So now it has a smiley face on our map. Thank you Spreyton22
While visiting the area today we targeted the caches in the conservation area here.
It was an enjoyable bushwalk and didn't take too long to get around them all.
Found this one easily.

Out and about with Tassie Trekkers collecting new caches that have appeared since our last visit to this area. A great day to be out and about. Happy Easter. TFTC
While out and about today with whitewebbs we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
A nice series, now we have completed this series so far. A nice walk through the reserve. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Spreyton22 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A nice quick find for this cache! This cache had a little guard protecting this cache! A quick sign and the little guy was returned to his spot above the container!
Thanks for the find all good condition.
Thanks for the find all good condition.
Thanks for the cache Spreyton22.
RLD4963, the two GeoGSP's and I were visiting Port Sorell for a few days r&r. This is another reserve which had had half the number of caches last time we visited Port Sorell, so today we were back to find the new ones.
All the ones we found today were straightforward finds.

Out and about caching with all the Rafas for our holidays TFTC TNLN log dry, contents were all spread over the ground on arrival had to collect them.
Last for the day and another quick find. Did have two other bike riders come past while I was dealing with this one and I suspect they thought I was doing something else in the edge of the bush. They certainly gave me an odd look!!
Thanks for the 5 caches we managed to find today. We will return before we leave camp to get the last two in this series and the two we are yet to find along the beach walking track.

We decided to use a leave day to do some caching in the Squeaking Point area after doing some of the Port Sorell caches recently. A beautiful day for strolling around in the bush, not too hot. We saw a few other people out and about as well, nice to see that these tracks get used. This cache was a quick find with the aid of accurate coordinates. TFTC
Fourth one in a row and we keep seeing fantastic scouts. Hope we get home before it rains as we are on push bikes today.
Now we are back on the state, we can start looking for local caches again. It was a pleasant winter's afternoon when we went to look for this cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Spreyton22 for another cache in a lovely area.
The lid wasn't shut properly but the bag kept the log dry. Everything back in place TFTC
Hi Spreyton22...out nabbing a few caches in the Squeaking Pt area with 4paws(Murder) in tow.
I'd be a bit worried living here with a lot of fuel against fence lines.
The firebreak next to useless...needs to be disced up for a bare earth break.
An easy find here with cache in top nick.
Many tftc..much appreciated...cheers ST.

With Easter off from work, it was a good opportunity to try and close the gap on my target for the year. 500 finds for the year is the target, and this run brought me up to 230 odd, so only 3 months in I am on track for this target.
The highlight (and hardest part of this day) was the walk out to the cache Lieu-Pine-Ner at Point Sorell. The walk was challenging due to the number of rocks being very uneven. I was hoping 2 hours, but in the end it took 3 hours. Geo Kid O was still going strong at the end, but it had taxed me.
Thank you for placing this cache and maintaining it.
A great collection of caches in this area

Thank you for the cache from GeoMaggie and her sidekick Bonnie. And Angus 88. Nice and easy
Found with GeoMaggie2. Nice and easy. Lovely bush walk. Stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
