On our travels we found ourselves in Cunnamulla and took the opportunity to grab a few caches, this one took much longer get than it should have as we walked around and around, then that doh moment and the log was signed, thanks for placing it

I got the northern welcome earlier today and the one on the eastern side about 3 years ago. This one I assumed would have been hidden like the other one today, it was but at the opposite end. Thanks for this welcome as well.

Continuing on with my well earned 2 week break and after staying in Rochester, Hay, White Cliffs, Cunamulla, Toompine, then Charleville for a few nights (after my very big detour due to lots of road closures) its time to hit the road again and start heading back south to Cunnamulla again. The sun has finally made appearance after being cold and windy for the last week and it is good to get the suns rays onto you to warm the bones.I was supposed of have done these caches 2 years ago but my trip was cut short due to a knee injury and then I just drove past them all with tears in my eyes. There were even FTFs on offer and that really hurt.Fast forward to today and I was able to find most of them on my trip down south.Well I found the others so it makes sense to find this one as well for such a welcoming town. Thanks RoddyC TFTC.

**Found Tuesday 02-July-2024 at 16:58 Smiley #2447**Rogersclan Rapid Route to Raid the R(W)est (RRRRR Trip)Mrs Rogersclan went back home to America for a week leaving Mr Rogersclan home alone for a week. What a better way to spend the week rather then sitting at home lonely, but to head west and follow in the footsteps of QOGM at Cunnamulla. Found over 200 caches of varying sizes, types and D/T which was a lot of fun. Did as much cache maintenance as I could, replacing log bags, logs themselves and some containers with what I had onboard. Unfortunately I couldn't fix all of the broken containers but if everybody keeps their part of outback caching, things will right themselves.I apologise for the generic log, but it was just me finding and logging so the logs are very generic. I truly appreciate the effort the CO's have gone into for this hobby we call Geocaching. It is simply amazing, thank you to all.Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **RoddyC** Big GrinRogersclan13 Cool

Hubby Hans found this cache straight away today. Thanks for the cache.

12-Jun-24
I found the original of this hide, so I signed it and the replacement log, which I then added to the original. I have taken the replacement cache away. Having completed the series, I am now after some caches on the way back into and around town. This was one of them, and it has been signed. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our game by placing these caches.

We are heading up to Longreach for the last QOGM with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.We were heading out toward Yowah to grab aIt turned into more off a game as we were all jumping out and racing to see who could find it few caches out there and to also try our hand at alittle bit of fossicking but not before stopping to pick up the caches along the way. The person who found the cache had to hand it to the last person on site to sign the log and return it. This made for a great game and the time flew past and we were at the turn off before we knew it.To save room in the log we signed PDGC (Papi Drove Geoturtle Crackers)Thanks for the cache RoddyC

Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.

After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.

All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.

Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Quick find here.

Freddo and Team Waldron are heading north for a long delayed trip to the caching fields of Cunnamulla. This cache was found on our journey. Caches were fixed where necessary. Fresh log books added. Containers refreshed.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Found eventually- in the dark!
We really wanted to fit in a few more caches before retiring for the night.

*The generic!*
Completed the Paroo jigsaw series today. Took us about 5 hours which included cache maintenance and a picnic along the way. We really enjoyed the drive and the variety of vegetation and animals we saw. Thank you hatzoff we had a great day and were happy to complete some maintenance for you as discussed.

Stayed a Cunnamulla last night, there was a rodeo on down the road, so the town itself was deserted! Had a nice meal at the pub and enjoyed their fireplace. Set of in the morning to complete the Paroo jigsaw trail (and help out with some maintenance along the way). Bee really enjoyed completing the jigsaw puzzles and other assorted puzzles in preparation for out visit to Cunnamulla.

Found as part of our 'north for warmer weather' trip from North East Victoria to Central Queensland, via Curtis Island! We have enjoyed the great variety of caches along the way. Thank you to all the COs who maintain them for us to enjoy.

QOGM is now over & we head back down the highway .
After a very wet night we have now settled into a caravan park at Cunnamulla.
Decided on sticking to the black top again & headed west to the end of the shire.
Once back in town we found a few that we could drive to & then again we have to leave Cunnamlulla, with our mission uncompleted a return trip is on the cards has to be planned. Come back when it's dry.

Return of the Munna Culla Snack Ninjas… or should that be the Munna Culla Snack Ninjas Strike Back…

Day two of our road trip and it’s St George to Cunnamulla… As usual the plan didn’t last past the first cache…

We started with thirty of the Paroo Pictures leftover from last year, until it became evident Santi Fey may not come out the other side… Now, having made it to mulla, there’s still time for a couple of town caches…

I was still removing flies from the River Walk and dealing with a PAF, so my team mates decided to make this the next stop…

I’d love to say this was a quick find, as we all had the same idea and begun dismantling the foundations…except for PirateLinda who was off in the scrub somewhere…

There is zero need to dismantle the foundations…

Tftc…

Love these sign designs! Here we are on a few missions and I’m trying to pace myself. After two days on the road and a change in altitude and temperature CybergranV and I raced around like lunatics to explore Cunnamulla and find more than a few ‘mulla’ caches. After this it’s on to QOGM - can’t wait! TFTC, info and FUN!

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 167. Cunnamulla Day 2. After a night of on and off rain, I set out to do caches that kept me on sealed roads. I finished the caches on one road and then headed east to visit the caches on the St George road, but the Shire boundary was too far for one day. I finished with a few of the caches around town plus a nice walk in the bush lands.

The second welcome to town sign went as easily as the first, yesterday, The second Augathella one still wins.

Thanks for the cache RoddyC

TFTC,
This is day 8 of our second Northern Escape for 2022. We have already made a couple of changes to what we were going to do as we travelled to QOGM 2022 due to rain and no longer have a set of plans in place. now flying by the seat of our pants.
Went out this morning and made a start on some of the puzzles we solved for last year when we were shut out because of COVID.
Visited trackables.

Day 3 at Cunnamulla catching up on last years QOGM caches that we missed out on due to border lock down restrictions.
We found 36 caches today with 1 DNF's. you have just got to love these types of days. We did encounter loads of animals, again the mosquitoes, that are huge, flies, goats, today we are certain that the flies have outnumbered the goats. We saw emu's a large variety of birds, kangaroos, sheep and cows .
All the caches we came across are in good condition except one which appeared to be missing so it was replaced. Today, instead of hubby removing his shoes we came up with a different way of crossing the water. You use your ladder laid above the water and your tree fishing pole as a balance tool, it worked a treat and he got to keeps his shoes dry and his feet clean. We love our multi use tools.

19-Jul-22
We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.

Day 4 of our trip saw us stay in the Cunnamulla area to finish off the pre solved Paroo puzzles as well as other puzzles and ones that we came across along our journey. Once again the wildlife showed themselves, some a bit too close for comfort. The roads for the trails were all in good condition which made the driving between them bearable and an enjoyable day in the red dirt.

Our apologies for the generic log, but thank you to all the cache owners for the placements.

While staying at Cunnamulla, today we decided to start the caches heading towards Yowah. Leaving at 8:15 we filled up with fuel and headed west. We did not think that it would be a big day looking for some Werigo’s, Traditionals, Puzzle and Earth caches. Well we were very wrong, what a big day we had, some taking a hour to complete and others were either hard to find or hard to work out. All in all we were away for 12 hours caching, but what a great day we both had! The country side is just fantastic and the sunset at Yowah Bluff was going to be great! Yowah showed us another town that opals are mined, but not like other towns where it is very evident to see where they have been scratching/digging the place seemed well laid out.

Cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found during a road trip via Wentworth, Menindie Lakes, Wilcannia, Cobar, Bourke and Cunnamulla to Charleville and back over 10 days, camping out at some great spots along the way. Met up with e.gregory1 at Bourke and we spent the next four days caching around Cunnamulla and out to Eulo, Yowah and Charleville before e.gregory1 headed to Townsville and I retraced my tracks back southwards towards home. Found by Mary and David at 10:35. Cunnamulla Day 2. We missed QOGM last year owing to border closures, so we have many caches to find. Today we finished the rest of the Paroo Pictures trail, a couple of Trads near town, then the Trads and Challenges along Humeburn Road. We also did 6 of the Letterboxes along the Old Charleville Road before we ran out of time. Still plenty of caches to do on our way to the next QOGM. Our thanks to RoddyC
