A large eastern brown was basking near the pipe exit. It scattered as I began my search. Eventually checked the hint and realised it was a bit further away. Sorry danger noodle! Tftc
#4202Came out this way this morning on mountain bike with Turtle to find a few caches. He'd already been here, but was kind enough to let me stop for a few on the way. TFTC
I only got home from Vietnam and already I am off on a mission I have been looking forward to with great anticipation since I first head about it. Today is the second Tidbinbilla Deep Space Tracking station tour led by 2 Leg Drive. I left plenty of time to visit a few caches on my way out and that went smoothly, but nothing can compare with standing up close and personal to the big antennas at the tracking station. Not to mention the history that has passed through individual dish's ! It was a great day, and it did not even rain on us as predicted. As I rolled down the hill from the Pines cache I was able to drive past two other caches and was happy to find and sign both of them. Thanks for the cache Tankengine45011.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2018 January Micro Bite A#371**Albida**
I was in the area for something elase and, because already out of reception, took a random unsealed road to get to higher ground, and, hopefully, reception.
Just as I passed this pipe, reception came in (and with it a squillion notifications) and I was wondering if I could/should place a cache here.
After I stopped and was able to get my map and the surrounding caches loaded I noticed that, of course, there already was a cache.
Absolutely spiffing weather, lots of birds around, including a Whipbird.

#4176 I actually made it all the way up here under pedal power, then took a moment to regather the breath before making the final move on GZ. TFTC.
Another long weekend excursion out to Pierces Creek. On the hunt for caches on the Western side today. Cloudy once again, not as cold as it could have been. Hoping to beat the forecasted rains for the afternoon, not much fun sliding around in the mud. Cache found, signed and replaced. TNLNSL TFTC
Decrypter and I found this. It was very hard to open, but log is good. Not tightened as hard on closing, so hopefully the next person will find it easier. TFTC Tankengine.
After being done with the FTF in the area it was certainly getting dark, but not late at all so I drove to and stopped at a few other cache once out here on the way home.
Would have searched a long time without the hint as the object was well out of view foe me herw at night. Did not dare to go up the steep bit at night.
Thank you Tankengine for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Updated coordinates. Seems I accidently used the pipe coords instead of the cache coords...
Coordinates changed from:
S 35° 20.156 E 148° 55.271
Coordinates changed to:
S 35° 20.150 E 148° 55.262
Distance from original: 57.7 feet or 17.6 meters.
Coords of pipe changed to coords of cache...

Interesting location here, little did we know we were going to visit a similar one nearby a bit later too! We struggled to locate this cache and were unsure how as it is listed as a D1! Eventually got some enough service to load the hint and soon realised what was going on! The coordinates are about 15 metres out, which is unusual for a TE hide! I'm sure that can be amended with ease though Once we had that hiccup sorted the cache was soon in hand!
Thanks Tankengine for bringing us here
**Today:**
The "Adventure Boys" consisting of DARKSIDEDAN, Sui_001, sebass19 and myself were very keen to give the new "Scary Movies" series a crack ASAP since seeing it come out the other night!
sebass19 and myself met up a couple hours early to do some extra caching in the Cotter before the other two arrived, as Dan didn't clock off work until 5pm. We grabbed a variety of caches before meeting the Dan and Sui in the Cotter at 5:45pm to start our convoy to the series.
Haven't had this much fun for a while, highly recommend this series to everyone! Make sure you come prepared with a couple hours up your sleeve for the full experience, and bring friends as it won't be as fun to do alone!
Finally got back home at 8:30pm and straight to bed for a 5am wake-up the next morning....zzzzz!

What a unusual bit of water infrastructure. I guess it must be important. In hindsight I had a multimeter in the car. Should have made a quick measurement.
I’d say it would be a bad day for the cache if they needed to open that valve.
Thanks for something very different. A favourite point from me.

Interesting structures here. Looked in a few spots before checking the hint. I was reading about 15m out, but the hint certainly made it easy to find.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Out and about solo caching today. I started at Corin Rd, then headed for Tidbinbilla, followed by Pierces Forest. Finishing with a couple on the edge of the city before calling it a day. 6 separate walks - about 10km all up. A pleasant day to be out. A quick park and grab here on my way back down the hill. TFTC.

Parked the 4wd on the 45 degree slope and found the newly hidden cache right where it should be .
Plenty of Roos and cockatoos about early .
Another nice highlight and cache hide .
Many thanks to Tankengine.

I wasn't really up for a big walk today but with a couple of new TE caches out in Pierces Creek Forest a plan was hatched with StarsAlign for a quick explore around this pretty area. We met up on the dirt roads a little too late for the FTF, but a short stroll later and we had the cache in hand.
I'm amazed at how wet the ground is out here still - little rivulets everywhere! Another random piece of water supply infrastructure - these seem to be everywhere.
Thanks, Tankengine.

It was a beautiful cool morning to walk around the Cotter Dam with the Yellow Tail Cockatoo put on a fine display of flying while screeching from tree to tree nearby. It was very wet down this way thanks to the recent rains with the dirt roads are still in good condition.
As part of the Dream Team (Mountainsbeyond, Contesta, StarsAlign) this is exactly what we were all doing while this cache was first found. We were all sound asleep simply dreaming of finding a couple of new caches - it was daylight where we were in our heads
Didn’t see any gloves - green or black, sorry Aquilus1. We really enjoyed catching up with Mountainsbeyond who kindly waited with his daughter at the end gate to pick up the last cache together. Then, it was a pleasant surprise to catch up with Contesta soon after. A lovely reunion of sorts before we all went our separate ways again. TFTC Tankengine.

A plan has been hatching for a trip to Pipeline Road for a while now - will I won’t I and when - so with a couple of new caches out in the area it was all systems go. Just had to wait for daylight! And then they were gone.
Oh well, did Pipeline Road instead and then came back around fir some more.
Grateful thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches that continue to entertain me on my caching journey.

Tankengine, Aquilus1 and I came out to do a little caching maintenance and pick up a few others that were close by.
This cache: We parked up from the cache and walked back down to GZ. We found the cache without any issues and then as we were about to head back up to the car a massive group of trail bikes roared out of the property below then up pass us. Thanks for the adventure and of course Tftc Tankengine!!!

After a morning of dragging coir logs into position and then building a wall trump would be proud of with them, it was out in this area for a little TE cache maintenance, an explore and to get a few caches while here.
Lovely day to get out and its such a peaceful pretty area, well... peaceful but for the moments the motorbikes were racing about the place!
This was our first cache of the day and luckily we were well off the road when dozens of motor bikes when racing past. The nice new cache was found soon enough and then off to a nearby one. Thanks for the cache and the day TE!
