Today we have had a big caching trip to Port Sorrel looking for as many caches as we could find in my quest to get to our next milestone by the end of November. Weve got no chance but definitely have no chance if we dont even try. As most caches required shanks pony our numbers were limited to around 30 finds for the day along with 3 dnf. Our primary focus to begin with was the 4 low tide caches all of which were successfully found. We then spent a while at Squeaking Point before a walk along the main trail near Hawley Beach. Thanks mainly to Spreyton and Angus88 for the bulk of our finds and of course to all the other hiders for adding enjoyment to our day. I walked 20,000 steps and 15km.Its a shame the track doesnt go the entire length of the point. Another quick find exactly where the hint said. TFTC
I ran out of track, not sure if I was lost, but a beach walk and bush bash up to the spot, got me the reward! Left a little something. TFTC
I picked up a TB to join me on my adventures around this gorgeous island. Its turned out to be a beautiful day today and I arrived as the tide was receding so I got to find these caches while walking along the shoreline with GeoCleo.TFTCSpreyton22Keep smiling
Several times I have been in the area but the tide was too high to make the search. On this occasion with a low tide, accurate coordinates and a good hint the cache in good condition was quickly found. Left a travel bug.
With quite a low tide this morning, it was an opportune time to visit the 5 tidal caches.
Arrived at the parking spot and headed down to the beach with the cache being 350m away.
Gumboots don't make for easy walking but eventually got to gz where accurate coords led to a quick find.
The cache is in top nick with plenty of spare logs.
Looking at the map, the distance to the island cache was 800m which was about the same from designated parking, so decided to keep going on from this cache.
Many thanks for the adventure Spreyton22.....thoroughly enjoyed...cheers ST.

While out and about today with whitewebbs we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
A nice stroll around the track and beach, tide was on the way out so made the beach walk easy. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Spreyton22 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out and about with Tassie Trekkers collecting new caches that have appeared since our last visit to this area. A great day to be out and about. Happy Easter. TFTC
From #3 on this walk I couldn’t find a path that kept going so I ended up Down on the beach in shoes I would have preferred I wasn’t wearing! But soon enough I found the cache!
All in good condition thanks for the Find!

Thanks for the cache Spreyton22.
RLD4963, the two GeoGSP's and I were visiting Port Sorell for a few days r&r. This is another area which had had half the number of caches last time we visited Port Sorell, so today we were back to find the new ones.
All the ones we found today were straightforward finds.

Out and about caching with all the Rafas for our holidays TFTC TNLN log dry, an easy find when at GZ
After finding #3 we continued down the track and on to the beach. Had to do a bit of climbing over fallen trees to stay up on the rocky edge which wasn't as 'sucky' as the sand here.
Stopped to check the coordinates and noticed a stump that fitted the clue just to our left.
It was indeed GZ and the cache was quickly located.
Did wonder if we would find the track back up to the road. Thought we had but came out on someone's driveway, so snuck back that way.
Have kayaked from Squeaking Point to Port Sorell many times but never walked along this shore before.
Thanks for the caches and bringing us to somewhere different.

After riding my bike down to squeaking point today, i decided to get some caches. About 50m after sqeuaking point track 3 the track leaves you on the beach. I was attempting this cache at high tode and had to take my shoes of and half wade, half bushbash (when it got too deep) my way aroundto the cache. I have never felt so accomplished signing a cache ever before. This cache would be much easier at low tide. Whoops tftc.
With the track quickly running out i resorted to the dirt road above but even that ended to become multiple driveways at the loop end. I had to descend on a convenient track to the beach where it became a coastal walk on a reasonably high tide proved tricky but i still negotiated it.
There were soft marshy spots aswell. Finally GZ was reached and the familiar hide type in this series was located all good and dry

Picking a very low tide and good boots were our preparation to get to this cache. It was a pleasant walk along the pebbley shore. The full sun and shelter from the westerlies made it ideal. We were surprised at the wide variety of trees and bushes along the way. It didn't take long to get to GZ. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Spreyton22 for this cache and others you have placed in the area.
Today we are heading to the Port Sorrell area to collect many of the newish caches that have been placed in recent times.
A little tricky to get to gz, tide was out but it was still very wet and sloshy under foot, also had a few small fallen trees to navigate . Back into the open again cache was located quickly and signed. Certainly a beautiful view from gz. TFTC

A lot of innovative work to get to GZ due to, I think, high tide. There would be another way in to this geocache if the tide had been down. However did find it in the end. Found with GeoMaggie2. Stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Just completed this series. On way back to Hobart after lovely few days at sisters beach with some geocaching with geosister saw these new ones thought try and see if able to get FTF. Great easy track and birdlife on the water, Thanks Spreyton22 for being me here ,
