**Found Thursday 04-July-2024 at 11:42 Smiley #2497**Rogersclan Rapid Route to Raid the R(W)est (RRRRR Trip)Mrs Rogersclan went back home to America for a week leaving Mr Rogersclan home alone for a week. What a better way to spend the week rather then sitting at home lonely, but to head west and follow in the footsteps of QOGM at Cunnamulla. Found over 200 caches of varying sizes, types and D/T which was a lot of fun. Did as much cache maintenance as I could, replacing log bags, logs themselves and some containers with what I had onboard. Unfortunately I couldn't fix all of the broken containers but if everybody keeps their part of outback caching, things will right themselves.I apologise for the generic log, but it was just me finding and logging so the logs are very generic. I truly appreciate the effort the CO's have gone into for this hobby we call Geocaching. It is simply amazing, thank you to all.Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **RoddyC** Rogersclan13
Heading east today to Cunnamulla after a visit to Cameron Corner and picked up some caches along the way and this was one of them. Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and all returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC RoddyC
Slowly meandering home after attending the Longreach QOGM. Grabbing anything along the way.Today picking up some missed hides around Cunnamulla area. Most hides where found after a short search. Loved the different containers and hides. Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Woo hoo!!! Finally made it to my first ever QOGM, was so sad to have missed the earlier ones, but this one was great! Loved the musters and the creative activities. Sadly its now time to head back home. Taking a bit of a roundabout way to pick up a couple of extra counties; Barcoo, Quilpie and Bulloo that we missed on previous travels. So glad that we have made the trip it has been such an incredible adventure, full of amazing scenery and incredible wildlife! Great to be out travelling the countryside again with GLISS! Signed as G! NRC or our individual names. Thanks to everyone who has placed caches and enabled this wonderful adventure! It will certainly be one i will remember for many years. Thanks for the cache!
Found with Nibletricecakes on the drive from Quilpie to Cunnamulla via Thargominda. TFTC
Heading to Longreach for the last QOGM with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506.We stopped along the way to pick up a few caches and signed the log as PDGC.(Papi Drovers Geoturtle Crackers)Thanks to all the Co's for making this trip, more enjoyable. Signed and replaced as found.
Thought our chances here were low as the grader has been doing some gardening but cache is safe and sound and in excellent condition. Tftc

Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

On arrival at GZ some obvious earthworks had occurred, short search turned up broken lid a bit of broken swag and very surprisingly a log book. We have placed a systema container as close to gz as we could, not sure how well it will handle the harsh conditions, but it will keep it going for a bit. Tftc

QOGM is now over & we head back down the highway .
After a very wet night we have now settled into a caravan park at Cunnamulla.
Decided on sticking to the black top again & headed west to the end of the shire.
Once back in town we found a few that we could drive to & then again we have to leave Cunnamlulla, with our mission uncompleted a return trip is on the cards has to be planned. Come back when it's dry.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 172. Cunnamulla Day 7. For my last day in Paroo county, I started with a drive to Yoweh via Eulo and the opal trail. Only one cache required my boots and then I was there and having an early lunch. I took the short way home and set about the two sets of caches I left for today to help with my numbers. First were the puzzles down by the cemetery and then the final Paroo pictures caches. It is great to have done as many caches here as possible given th time and tools I had available.
Most of today's caches were roadside caches with only one or two having a water hazard.
Thanks for the cache RoddyC

Day 2 of a Cunnamulla roadtrip with Carø and Kestal. Heading just a little further west today to colour in the next county. Having acheived our goal we cached our way back to Cunnamulla. Most caches were signed E.C.K. TCTC RoddyC
On our return journey to Cunnumulla we stopped off and collected a few on the way through. With the car pulled up we piled our way and made our way to GZ. All signed and returned we took a gallery of photos before we took off to the next one. TFTC RoddyC

Having fun on our mission West of Ipswich... Eskies5, kestal and I having fun colouring in counties amongst our usual shenanigans. This area is green and lush and seem so weird as I'm used to seeing dry and dusty red out West. So stunning seeing the wild flowers and everything growing so well. Thanks for the cache, RoddyC!

Day 5 at Cunnamulla catching up on last years QOGM caches that we missed out on due to border lock down restrictions.
We started the day looking at the caches closest to Cunnamulla but unfortunately these involved dirt roads that were not at all friendly so we took a drive to thargomindah. We found a wide variety of cache types, 23 caches in all today with 0 DNF's. You have just got to love these types of days. The rain cleared overnight and the day was sunny with light winds. Not much seen in the variety of animals today mainly goats. emu's and lizards sunning themselves on the road and of course the birds of all sorts to keep us company.
All the caches we came across are in good condition, even the one that we found floating on top of the vegation, to our surprise the log was dry. Today hubby wore his crocs to give him access to the caches and boy did he need them.

While staying at Cunnamulla, today we decided to start the caches heading towards Yowah. Leaving at 8:15 we filled up with fuel and headed west. We did not think that it would be a big day looking for some Werigo’s, Traditionals, Puzzle and Earth caches. Well we were very wrong, what a big day we had, some taking a hour to complete and others were either hard to find or hard to work out. All in all we were away for 12 hours caching, but what a great day we both had! The country side is just fantastic and the sunset at Yowah Bluff was going to be great! Yowah showed us another town that opals are mined, but not like other towns where it is very evident to see where they have been scratching/digging the place seemed well laid out.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found during a road trip via Wentworth, Menindie Lakes, Wilcannia, Cobar, Bourke and Cunnamulla to Charleville and back over 10 days, camping out at some great spots along the way. Met up with e.gregory1 at Bourke and we spent the next four days caching around Cunnamulla and out to Eulo, Yowah and Charleville before e.gregory1 headed to Townsville and I retraced my tracks back southwards towards home. Found on our way back to Cunnamulla after camping out at Yowah. Thanks for the cache RoddyC!
Found as I made my way up from Adelaide to the Mega event in Townsville.
I caught up with FeatherWaite near Bourke and we cached together for a few days, mainly around the broader Cunnamulla area. After camping at Yowah last night we made our way back to Cunnamulla then north.

Silly me assumed where it would be so didn’t take the GPS out of the car. Learned my lesson when I could find anything so returned, grabbed it and saw the error of my ways. Saw that we were close in our assumption once we got to the actual GZ though. TFTC RoddyC
Ah, you got me! I’d left my GPSr in the car, assuming it would be in the spot suggested by the name, and then had to dash back across the road to grab it. Found shortly thereafter, and I was kind of right!! Found while visiting Paroo Shire for the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster 2021, with DisSister and Dragonsky. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache for us to find and TFTC, RoddyC. =^.^=

Home from Cunnamulla's QOGM which was an awesome experience. Met so many new people and there were lots of laughs every day. Each day we drove at least 100km each way in all sorts of directions, so now that I am home I am unsure which cache is which and which day was which. But I do know that I had a lot of fun finding every single cache in this area. Heaps of appreciation to all the COs involved. Caches were signed as TripleT, Something Catchy or Mavericks.
An early start today and after the mornings event we headed out of town and went west to grab a few caches along the way. A drive to Eulo and then a stop for a little coffee break, after which it was a drive to continue on to a nice trail of caches to Yowah for lunch. A slight detour after lunch out Thargomindah way for an earth cache to then turn around and head back to Eulo to grab dinner before heading back to Cunnamulla. A huge day of caches and a huge day of driving.
Some awesome caches and some really nice scenery along the way, thank you for these caches. We got to experience some of the true outback country. All caches were signed with my new stamper and our team name, thank you for a huge day of caching. Sorry for the generic log but it was a huge day.
