Nice lil spot didn't see it at first but didn't take too long to find it beautiful blossom trees near by.
After recently retiring, we made a 10 day trip to Tassie, this time bringing our car and the MIL. Just meandering around not particularly looking for caches, just taking the opportunity at the places we stop for breaks etc.On our way back to Devonport to go back home, we spent a little time in this interesting little town with its murals around the township. But not being the least bit inspired by art, I went for a wander instead to find something more along my interest lines while the others gawked at the other stuff. Fearing attack from the nearby plovers and magpies, I clung to the protection of the tree line. At the GZ, the target was eluding me until eventually spotted. Unfortunately my writing stick decided to have an internal explosion and refused to cooperate, hence the photo of offending instrument. I did sign, but in invisible ink. TFTC
A quick find, just took a while to sign as staff were leaving the nearby lodge!
Thanks Angus88 for placing Angus visits Sheffield. Swampy and I came back to plunder more of the NW coast over a long weekend. This is day 3, we are heading back along the coast to Launceston today. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #1936 and was found on 18/8/2024 at 11:50
Hi Angus88. Today we found your cache .VK7HCH and I hatched a plan to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA in the northwest region. We have been busy solving puzzles so we can find those and others. Day 3 has us at Penguin and heading home from Ulverstone and in between. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5128 and I found it on Sunday 18 Aug 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: My EPE: Condition: GoodWeather: slightly cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)
Thanks for the Cache Angus88,The park dedicated to Dr Leslie Sender looking splendid, it was a nice stroll to the GZ.I correctly identified the host and thanks to the fall of the leaves, was able to see the vessel .Regards from Victourer
I was able to find five more Tasmanian caches at stops on our group's bus ride between Cradle mountain and Launceston.
Just as I started to doubt, there it was, hiding from the cool breeze. Thanks Angus
Thanks for the great description and hint. Another nice cache on our walk today. TFTC
This cache gave us an excuse to stretch our legs on a long drive. Much appreciated. TFTC
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Stayed nearby last night and enjoyed exploring this lovely little town. Grabbed this one this morning before moving on. Replaced the log as it was full. Thanks Angus88 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Weve picked up on Anguss modus operandi now so this was a nice quick find and sign. TFTC
Angus sounds like a great geocompanion, and great that you now have Mollie and Maggie to accompany you on your adventures. Our geodog is Buddy (can log him at HQJYHJ) who loves to join us on our adventures. Not today though as hes staying with his grandparents in Melbourne while were away.I found Anguss cache during a morning walk after my first night in Tasmania.TFTC and greetings from Melbourne
Visiting Sheffield on our third day in Tasmania. Didnt bring a pen but found the cache pretty easily. Tftc
Located with Ricardinho Another quick find for RNZ. The artwork in Sheffield really is impressive Day 11 of our Tassie/Sydney trip, and today iwe were travelling from Moina to Launceston.A very enjoyable trip stopping at a few cool country Tassie towns, the impressive murals at Sheffield was first up, followed by the topiaries at Railton and finally the sculptures at Deloraine. An awesome day all round TFTC
A quick find here due to the hint. The town really gets behind the murals, it seems, and they are all very well done. TFTC Angus88.Day 11 of our Tassie trip, and today it was Moana to Launceston. We had a pretty good day stopping in at a few rural towns and enjoying the sites. We visited the impressive murals at Sheffield, the topiaries at Railton and the sculptures at Deloraine. All were great stops in their own way, and the planned rain mostly held off. Most of our finds today were adventure lab stages. We got about 22 of those. But we attempted 3 bonus caches and could not find any, and were muggled at a few other spots on other caches.Still had a good day Thanks all COs.
Our coordinates are sending us all over the place today we hunted several different spots where GPS said we were down to 1 metre but once we actually checked the hint, took a few more steps we had the cage in hand in seconds. TFTCFound with LittleBoo17
Jetstar was having a sale…. in the middle of winter, for a destination further south than I already live. That sounds like a great idea!
So a plan for a 4 night whirlwind tour of the northern part of the state was hatched. I’ve seen lots of this beautiful state, but haven’t found a single cache. With plenty of challenges to tick off, and a long list of targeted caches, this week is the time to turn that around.
Todays adventure started with a sunrise walk around The Nut in Stanley before a road trip to Launceston via some country stops.
A quick stop here for another Sheffield cache.
Thanks Angus88 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Can’t believe how long it took me to find this. Sometimes you can’t see what’s right in front of your face. Thanks
We have been released of grandchildren minding for a few days so we decided to come north to chase down a few caches that have either been placed since our last visit or ones that we missed on our previous travels! It’s been awhile since our last visit!
Another one that blended in well.

Last time I was here I knew what to expect but do you think I could find it. I searched and searched and there were no bikkies in the tin. Today while passing not too far away I made a detour and there it was. A quick find. Very pleased to change a blue frown to a golden smile.
Having found Angus So many times over the last 2 weeks, I hope he doesn't think I'm stalking him! and consider taking out an AVO ?
Thanks for maintaining the cache

Took a bit of searching. Then I dropped the container whilst unscrewing. More searching.

I had a day caching in the Sheffield / Devonport / Latrobe area after dropping off a friend to do a camera course in Sheffield. Only one thing that needed to happen was a quick drop into the Devonport airport office to fix a small internet issue. The day was overcast with occasional showers, although some showers were heavier with some ice in them.
All logs were signed July 22 as I forgot the date at the start of the day and continued this way throughout (and for those people checking, I will log all for todays date on the web site)
Found this cache while waiting in Sheffield to collect my friend after the day out. As it turned out I had further time, so I went further afield to grab one more cache.

Couldn't get the log book out to sign it, but it was raining, so probably not a bad thing.
Out and about with Tassie Trekkers collecting new caches that have appeared since our last visit to this area. A great day to be out and about. Happy Easter. TFTC

RLD4963 and I were off to the northwest coast for a couple of days for some geocaching, and to attend a friend's play in Burnie on Saturday night.
Day 2 of our trip up north, and we headed to Sheffield to find some caches. We were here only eighteen months ago and found all the caches that were here at the time - no sooner had we got home that new ones popped up! Nice to have a reason to visit Sheffield again.
Today was an interesting day in terms of muggles, and this one was our first for the day - there was a group of people from the nearby accommodation having a lovely morning tea and 'smoko' in the sun just on the other side of GZ - so we had to be extremely discreet here, and provide a few distractions.
The hide was successfully found, and our names added to the log.

No bickies in the bin today for me so I will have to try again on my next visit. My first DNF after a string of finds.
Turned an unhappy streak of DNFS around with this find here after a little search. Road trip day while listening to hottest 100. Heavenly and sunny. Love it
Hi angus88....had no trouble spotting this cache even without my specsavers...lol.
Nice quiet spot here....many tftc...much appreciated....cheers ST.

Not really a fan of bison tubes as they are hard to hard most times, however not today. Took us about 2 mins to find. Cache was in good condition and was rehidden after signing. TFTC
After a previous DNF on this one when it was missing we headed back to Sheffield today to have another look for it. No problems this time although it was very well hidden. Not well enough to escape the keen eyes of our 10 year old grandson though. Thanks, it's always good to rectify a DNF.
Hello Angus88 thank you for the cache
