Tasmania Trip Day 12. This is my final day on the Tasmanian island. I have two counties left to do and went to visit the two old caches in the Launceston region before making my indirect way to Devonport. The short walks went smoothly and I found enough caches to finish my target of all the counties in Mainland Tasmania. Once I reached Devonport I took a chance to have something to eat and have a rest before lining up to get ion the boat. Not quite as well done here, but we made it. The crossing starts in the rock and roll, unlike the other way. I made it over without any upsetting issues and will head back to Canberra tomorrow.I was now on my way to Devonport, so I was mostly looking for roadside caches along the way. Have Jane to pay my respects to the blue farmer, and to check the cache. All in good order here.
We pulled over near this one. I have a farmer friend whose son took his life on New Years Day 2022. They now do loads of work in this field. So this one is for Len, I wish he had reached out. TFTC
Enjoying our trip to this beautiful area from the mainland thanks for giving us another reason to explore TFTC and the fun
Hearing about Angus was beautiful. Thanks for sharing this spot and story

Today my muggle friends and I headed to Devonport to catch up to another muggle, have some lunch, before going to a nearby event.
On the way we stopped to say g’day to the Blue Farmer as he waved to passing traffic

Super fast drive by find. We’ve driven past this cache a million times without ever realising there was one here. So in our way home from a sports event in Westbury it was a great opportunity to grab this one. TFTC

I’m in Tasmania for a week on a geocaching tour with some other New Zealand geocachers. We are in Launceston for a few days, and today drove over to Devonport and then Leith, taking the long route - NZ_B, Jude_E, GraciesGPSFun and me.
This was our first stop of the day, at this interesting location.

A short stop here today, cache was easily found
Today I decided to head up to the north west coast to attend an event and find a few new caches since being in the area last over a year ago, a nice day out with over 30 finds and 25,000 steps.

Well that was a blind Freddy moment . I looked in a spot and 5 seconds later Mr Minion said there it is and I still couldn’t see it . Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
On a post flood maintenance run the Blue Farmer was found to be intact but the log has been replaced.
spotted from the car. log is mouldy and damp but signable, just need to be careful not to rip it. log is also 3/4 full so will need a change out in about 10 finds roughly.
Out on the regular date with my CotE, we stopped here to honour those men on the land who are struggling (and to log this cache). Well camouflaged, so it took a few minutes for me to locate this one, but log is signed and restored. As noted, log is a little damp.
Tftc, easy find and my little one loved the blue man, only had a pencil with is so out signing was very faint, log is rather soggy as the o ring seems to have perforated
A quick find for us while on the way past.
Nice to see this here for a good cause.

Now heading home we stopped to collect a couple more caches, and this was one of them. Plenty of room to pull off with the caravan. A quick find thanks to the hint. TFTC
While out and about today we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
Took some time but came up with the goods. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Today we got off the SOT and we decided to zigzag our way back to Hobart chasing some caches that we wanted to get after being in Victoria celebrating Lady’s membsec’s mums 90th birthday . Some appeared convenient and others have been on our solved list. Being 2’sday we aimed at getting 22 caches for the day, which we achieved!
Interesting feature and nice to stop for this cache.
Easy find, and TFTC.

I parked beside the Blue Farmer today on my way back to Hobart to find his hide.
Took a pic of him and then poked around on the fence for that bison. Lots of high grass would have made it a bit tough, but the hint proved very handy and eliminated the process of elimination in order to find it.

Hi Angus88, and thanks for the cache.
A quick find in the first place I looked, good coords and hint. The farmer is starting to look a little worse for wear. Quite a bit of traffic here on the old highway, bypassed a long time ago. Wonder what will happen to the nearby facility?
Found on a great geocaching trip with AlbyDangles.
Day Four: Ulverstone-Ambleside-Latrobe-Sassafras-Elizabeth Town-Deloraine-Exton-Westbury-Hagley-Perth-Epping(-and home).
Thanks for contributing to our the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

Trip required to Launceston to pick up machinery parts, so being a good weather report, today was the day to combine with a caching expedition as well. 9/10 wasn't too bad for us. Blue is looking after things pretty well here, herding his bison about ! Thanks to Angus88 and the Blue Farmer
Dropped Loz off for an 18th birthday party at Osmarston leaving me in the area with time to spare. An easy find, thanks big blue guy..
We have a blue tree near Perth and now I see the Blue Farmer. Very important cause. TFTC
Thanks for the cache Angus88.
Enjoying a few nights in the north of the state with RLD4963. It was a frosty old morning in Deloraine today, and it took us a while to get going. Although we were heading northwest from Deloraine, we thought this one was close enough that it was worth backtracking a little bit to make a find. We've seen a few of these 'Blue Farmer's around the state - drawing attention to looking after the mental health of our farmers. A nice quick find at GA. Thanks for placing a cache here - the cows in the paddock were very friendly.

We needed a find today to fill a gap on our calendar so took a short detour off the highway to get to GZ. Made a quick find with the aid of the hint and accurate coordinates just as it got dark. Thanks for the cache
Spending the day geocaching in the North and North West collecting as many yet to be found caches along the ways practical.
It’s always nice to see quirky things when travelling around the rural areas. The Blue Farmer is certainly that. Nice quick find and log. TFTC
