Been unactive on geocaching for a while. Archiving this cache as I do not think I will be able to maintain it any further.

After another DNF I have decided to disable the cache until I can get back the Bicheno in Easter. Seems as though the co ordinates haven't changed when I updated them on Geocaching.com.
Original Cache was missing. Replaced it with a camo painted eclipse mint can equipped with a logbook and pencil.

Back in bicheno for a few weeks. Will check on the cache within the next few days.
We looked everywhere but no luck. Noticed it hasn't been found since the abnormal high tides in October so perhaps it has been washed away? Many rocks here....none of which looked 'misplaced' to our eye. Beautiful spot and worth the visit cache or no cache ️
Unfortunately we didn’t find it. Maybe overgrown by weeds, after a few great springs of rainfall. We’ll try again in a drier year
Awesome spot for a cache! Even though according to the tide schedule, it was supposed to be the lowest tide… still went almost knee deep in the middle. But after going for a dip earlier, it wasn’t cold at all. I was confused about the tide, so I didn’t really explore the island as swimming back was a little too ambitious I thought.
The new cache had a dry log, thanks for previous cacher for the replacement.
It also is best to park at Gordon Street as the previous entry is all private property by the looks of it. The extra distance to the cache is not an issue though as it’s just a beautiful beach! Thanks for this little adventure!

Well what an adventure I’ve had so far this morning. Geo hubby was tragically ignored by the bus that was supposed to take him to Freycinet National Park today so he accompanied me on this adventure. We began by parking at the designated waypoint but my family were understandably reluctant to ignore the private property do not enter signs in order to access the beach. We drove to the end of Gordon Street and walk along the beach that way via a DNF on the way. Someone had already beaten us out onto the island not a Geocacher, I’m guessing though. Case was soon oin hand and as described by previous logs very wet. Luckily I had a container I was travelling with so I’ve put a new log at a new container very nearby the original hide. The container is a little bit bigger though now and I placed the old log in its ziploc bag in the new container. Thanks for making me brave the icy (not) waters to get to this lovely spot. We’ll be back tonight to look for penguins! TFTC MasterMelon and StarWarsLegend151
We headed towards this cache about 30 minutes before a 0.1m low tide and had no problems getting to the island. Accurate coordinates and a tell-tale sign led to a quick find. Unfortunately the cache was a little worse for wear - the container has been deformed and the log is damp. We signed the log under The Hancock Clan. A great location for a cache but something a little more robust is suggested. Thanks MasterMelon, StarWarsLegend151 for the cache.
After a log saying the cache was in bad condition I am planning to get back down to Tasmania asap to fix it as I am in Queensland right now.
Tftc! Quick find once i found the correct location. Didn’t bring a pen so couldn’t sign but took a photo for evidence!
After lunch in Bicheno we noticed that the tide was out and people were on the island. A perfect opportunity for a walk to grab this cache! It's a beautiful spot and a lovely walk. Mrs H found this one as I was convinced it had to be on higher ground to protect it from water. TFTC!

Managed to make it over before the tide got too high. Managed to sign, but the logbook is damp. Now time to explore the island. TFTC
Wasn’t planning on getting here tonight but lucked in with the tide! Forgot a pencil. Might see if we can get back here and improve its waterproofness.
A glorious last day of 2021 had us enjoying a walk along Redbill Beach to Diamond Island. Such a gorgeous place, crystal blue waters and white sandy beaches. Lots of big jellyfish about today to be wary of too! A little search and I had the CIH. SL TFTC
On holidays with my family and this is the first cache we found on our trip. Also most southern so far. Beautiful place Tftc.
Visiting from Townsville and beginning our anti-clockwise loop after a couple of days in Hobart.
After dinner and checking in at the resort we had a couple of hours to kill before the penguins arrived. Luckily this coincided with low tide and we were able to make the easy walk to GZ.
I’m not sure how long a mint tin will survive before the low tide mark but all is currently well.
Thanks ThatPurplePanda for creating and placing this for us to enjoy. Great location.

Staying in Bicheno for an early summer, but the weather is very changeable (and that's being kind) ! Anyway we ventured out and weathered the strong sou'easter, past the bevvie of gstring clad lovelies on the beach, and out to the island high and dry. Quickly spotted the hide, signed the log and left a dessicant sachet to help with dampness. TFTC team.
We are staying in St Helens for the week with the family. The weather hasn’t been too bad and scottymyth was positive that all would be fine with the tide and weather so off we went. We parked a reasonable distance from GZ but a walk along the pretty beach was had. Shoes off pants rolled up and off they went! Our 5 year old granddaughter had a ball. Found with Scottymyth and AINSTAR.
However, on our walk back to the car we had stopped to talk to the grandson when a larger wave came in and surprised us which made us very wet! Luckily it wasn’t a cold day!

Bang on low tide. We still got our feet wet but the water was surprisingly warm.
