A very cool idea for a cache. It is however well named as it DOES need rescuing as the rope is broken and cache is on the ground.
Out and about with KabbellaQld and Danielle46, signing logs as KTD .quick and easy find also be careful the string is getting old and needs replacing TFTC
Out and about with ToucanKB and Danielle46, signing logs as KTD. Well made pulley system but surprised that it was attached to the tree. Repaired the string as it broke when used. Recommend that the CO replaces the string soon as it is fraying badly. Something different, thanks for the cache and the variety.
After a DNF last time, we were pleased to see Brother Colin had replaced it - thanks for that. A short walk to GZ and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC charmbo71
Today started as a sunny winters day and eventually ended up with a few light showers later on which made the day all that must better. A great day for going on an adventure finding geocaches. I parked the 4WD as close as I could, about 50m away from GZ. I found the rope tucked away, added a new container, added my name to the log sheet, returned the cache to where I found it and safely returned to the car. Now onto the next cache. Thanks for placing and maintaining this geocache.
Found the pulley system but unfortunately there wasn't a cache attached, needs some TLC
A quick retrieval here. Dropped off a TB.Doesnt meet the geocaching guidelines so no point from me TFTC
We had a nice walk down through the park to the river where the set up was spotted with the good coords. With the job done we had the log in hand, signed and put back up where found. This is a great cache thanks charmbo71 a favourite from us.

Not really a DNF as we round it but the only way anyone can log it now is with the aid of a ladde
Needs urgent owner maintenance

Unable to rescue this cache as the top pulley is totally seized. In need of repair. Great concept.
While attending and event nearby on the Australia Day extended long weekend for the MummaBear and the Cubs gang, we decided to tidy up some loose ends in town.

The chain was down in the car park we drove to cache hide.. the pulley at the top is jamed . So out with trusty ladder
The cache needs maintenance as the very top pulley is stuck fast..Sorry we can't reach it...
Wow, another one of these caches and this one also earned a favourite point from us. Plus we had a nice stroll through this quiet area beside the beautiful Mary River. All good here with the cache, log signed and cache returned to it's resting place. TFTC
Mrs SKI didn't enjoy the dog on the way to GZ, but she did enjoy the cache once we arrived there. A favourite from us.
Day 4 & 5 in Maryborough. We thought we would continue to look around town and spend our time caching here. It didn't quite work out as we thought as there were a number of caches in parks and reserves and we ventured wider as well. A good variety of caches and hides all in generally good condition. We had mixed results on a number of tree fishing attempts. Some we just couldn't spot, others we couldn't reach with our fishing pole. Will have to look at some further modifications when we get home! We did manage to get a couple though!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache charmbo71.

After a good night sleep the girls and I headed into town to do some Mary Poppins stuff, pictures here and there. Oh and a visit to a local Vinnies store proved very profitable for us all. As we started driving off we saw Mary Poppins in the street, “No Way”, we drove up and the girls got a pic without even getting out of the car. Maryborough is a very friendly town, although not much happens between 8pm and 8 am, lol. Now it was time to head home via a few caches I needed for a challenge and ones I had solved.
This was a fun one and as it happens, I have one just like it just not screwed into the tree. Thanks for the cache hide and with that we signed the log and sent the cache back up to its hide. All good with this one.

On my way from Canberra to North Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
A very nice quiet park (except for the birds). An excellent cache setup. Great stuff.

Next, we headed to this cache. On arrival at the parking area, we noticed a council vehicle bogged in the mud created by last nights rain. We waited for a while, before setting off on foot towards GZ. The cache was quickly spotted and the log signed. We arrived back at the geomobiles in time to watch the retrieval of the bogged council vehicle. TFTC
Stopped by with Selva Girls and saw a council vehicle bogged after last nights rain. We headed off and found the cache theb returned in time to watch the recovery.

While in Maryborough/Hervey Bay area for a week we enjoyed retrieving this special cache. Caching as Team Jar - thanks for the cache charmbo71 - and a FP given.
Had fun doing this geocache. I was glad to be able to change the map to satellite view to see where we could best park for the stroll to GZ. Funnily didn’t spot it straight away while walking to it. I’m pretty sure I was spending my concentration on the ground where the grass was longish with crusts of mud left behind from the floods recently endured by Maryborough. As soon as I lifted my eyes there was the cache. It was good fun retrieving the log to sign which we did. Caching today with JooJoo57, ourselves and RichmondLad as Team JAR.
Thanks for placing this cache here that we enjoyed the find and stroll to today.
Cheers and happy caching!

We must have overseen this green dot at the river during our last visits to Maryborough. Today we thought we have a look at.
Wow, that water must have come far up: but today it was a beautiful green area , and we enjoyed the walk in the afternoon sun.
A fav point for the awesome work!

The mighty Mary was calm today.

Replaced US log and plastic bag. A favourite point from me. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC charmbo71

Log wet and muddy. Cache still in perfect condition. Didn’t have a spare log with me today so was unable to replace
Cool cache! And a nice work. I guess the container survived the foold without any damage few weeks ago.

We had fun finding this one, nice work with the mechanism to access the cache.
Out on the bike again today, on another mission. A milestone find is looming today, so I need to plan my finds carefully. I was out nice and early chasing the ALs in town and it was nice and quiet at most of the places I visited.
Not quite so early now but still not many, if any muggles about. No trouble finding this little beauty. A favourite point from me. [^]

I gave myself a long weekend in Hervey Bay, given I had some geocache maintenance to do and a conference to present in Maryborough. Today wad the conference, and after I was done, did a cheeky shopping-centre-clothes change from suit to shorts, I whipped out the geocaching app to see what's what.
Years of passing through meant anything old has been found, so I did a search by Favourite Points. This was one of 2 with over 10, and with recognition of the CO, I was keen. I headed down towards the Mary.
This park seemed a sneaky one to find, with that well-hidden entrance, but at the bottom it looks super well loved and used. The grass is vibrant green, and the portable toilets feels like some kind of festival might happen here soon. But, I had the area to myself and wandered around.
Remembering the geocache, I headed for GZ and from a few steps away saw something out of place. Up to it and yep, that's the geocache. Oh, what a fantastic geocache design - how could I possibly not approve!?
Much enjoyment was had, getting to the logbook and I took some mental notes, considering I have some maintenance to do later tonight. Here at 17:00 - must be food time soon. All in good condition here, and I totally understand why it's a favourite of the area. Excellent, thanks for this geocache charmbo71

Love it...very new to this and couldn't find my first 2 today so was over the moon finding this ...what a great set up
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that i can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
04/07/21 Staying in Maryborough Camp site with Caravan and seeing the sights and grabbing some caches. I am on holidays from Mackay. Been to the Bond Store, Mary Poppins and Military Museum this morning. Great Day. Now caching. TFTC SL Good design
We found you cache today right where the GPS told us to look. We were so happy with the view and the area we left a TB there. SL TFTC

TFTC. We were having lunch nearby and after lunch stopped by this secluded park. A short walk and the cache hide was quickly spotted. Thanks for bringing us here.
Tftc Charmbo71, nice hide, took a bit to locate as it wasn't what we were looking for.
Clever, have seen similar elsewhere, so we were able to perform the rescue.

In Maryborough for the event and had some spare time so visited the outstanding hides I needed smilies for before the eevnt. Parked at the end of the road and after a short stroll soon spied what I was after. Favourite point from me for the construction. TNLNSL TFTC
10256 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1320. Maryborough has lots of neat little areas tucked away to be visited and to spend time in. SL Tnx charmbo71 A FP from us. We have similar devices tucked away at home at The Rock 2655, with Drop Bears of various types attached.
Ungraded the cache container to a more sturdy custom made case that is large enough to hold trackables and Knick knacks. The pink maryland bear Trackable needs rescuing! Happy rescuing!!
*FTF* with fitzy_1965 & Liz and Bruce at 8.30pm
Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
Today we had a slow day caching around Maryborough in-between catching up with both muggle & caching friends. Ended the day with a bonus FTF with Liz and Bruce after dinner.
I'm not usually a fan on night caching but the company made this one fun.

Day 9. Today was probably the most relaxing of our entire trip. We headed out in the morning for a few caches and the Mall Lab Caches, then after lunch hit more caches before catching up with Liz and Bruce for a cuppa at their digs and then dinner with them at a lovely Hotel. Then a surprise new cache appeared and the four of us managed to be the first finders - a great finish to a lovely day. This was the next stop of the day, which was the above mentioned new cache ! It was perfect timing as we had just finished dinner, so into the L&M Mobile we went and headed to GZ. Very nicely set up - and we rescued the cache nice and quickly - Yay ! Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks charmbo71 !!
