Certainly lots of room but you better add emus to that too, as many as the roos if not more!!
The cache was poking out the back/top/not the root end of the hide.. might have been an echidna or something taking up residence. We placed it back well out of sight. Another nice hide thanks Duntulum.
Out in the PeuGEOt today with little littlecogs cache hunting in the Stawell/Halls Gap area.Absolutely amazing to see so many roos enjoying life togethe with a number of emus to top it off.Gets a favourite from us just for the sight in front of us.TFTC
After a brief pause to photograph the wildlife we grabbed the cache and we're on our way. TFTC
A very appropriately named cache!!There were so many here that we were amazed. We have problems with wallabies eating the grass that is meant to be for our cows at home - I can't imagine what it would be like to try and run stock anywhere around here. What was interesting was the number of kangaroos we saw in and around Halls Gap and Dunkeld but on the way up in to the Grampians there was a sign that said kangaroos for the next 40kms and during that whole stretch we only saw one on the side of the road. Seems they have all moved into town where the grass is probably sweeter and greener. Mr Beetle thinks that they probably carry mobile phones in their pouches now!!Thanks Duntulum.
Plenty of smily faces being found today on our trek to 300 caches. Mr9 is making light work of spotting these.
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Halls Cap yesterday. Today we have all day to explore the Grampians. This cache was found during a nice long walk.**Duntulum**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. Yesterday we drove from Port Fairy to Halls Gap where we will be staying for two nights. For today we have a nice hike to Sundial Peak, the Pinnacle, Venus Baths, the Botanic Gardens and from there back to our cabin. To add to the fun there is a cache every now and then. We had a short break here watching the kangaroos and emus while logging the cache which was found swiftly and smoothly. Thank you very much for this cache.
While staying at the caravan park, me and my so. Went for a walk to find some caches. This was a good one hiding under the watch of some cheeky roos. TFTC
Kangaroos and emus can still be viewed from around here and pretty much everywhere in the Grampians.
There are plenty of kangaroos to view at Halls Gap, and plenty of emus as well. Not to mention the cockatoo and the kookaburras. Gotta love our Aussie wildlife. This cache was a speedy find.
And easy find to Mark what should be the furthest flung of tonight‘s adventures thank you
A fairly quick find and were able to park near by. Lots of emus in the paddock, no kangaroos today. TFTC
Also left a TB there that we brought back from Germany recently to move along.

Found it easy enough. I'm very uncoordinated though and I was on the wrong side I made it haha

Nice little cache on the way home, completed the kids kangaroo count & gave me time to release another trackable. Tftc
Quick find here with a lovely view.
Thanks Duntulum for placing and maintaining for all to enjoy. Left a few swaps

Emus emus everywhere and a couple of roos. A nice easy find today in the drizzling rain.
After scrambling up to the letterbox cache, I headed down to this one. A lovely spot and lots of kangaroos. Unfortunately rubbish has been thrown into the log but otherwise all is good with the cache. Tftc
Thanks to Duntulum, we could not believe how many kangaroos we could see across the nearby paddocks. A well named cache.

A trip to The Grampians was the first activity on our son's agenda when he & his partner returned to Australia for a visit after 7 years in the UK.
Today was the day, together we made our way via a cache dotted route to Halls Gap. We couldn't resist a couple more finds after booking in at our accommodation, at least 50 roos and a dozen emus were enjoying the peace of the evening.
Thanks to Duntulum for placing caches highlighting native animals.

Today is the first day of our Victorian getaway. We are heading to Ballarat to get a new roof on our motor home so have taken a weeks holiday and will visit a few places about the state whilst we are at it. Apart from a long drive from Naracoorte to Adelaide via Horsham Christmas 2020 this is our first time in Victoria since before Covid. We did plan a similar trip last year but was cancelled due to second wave lockdowns.
So it’s good to be back! I stopped for a few caches on the way to Halls Gap our first overnight stop and this was one of them.
Nice quick find here TFTC Duntulum

I had headed out to do some caching this afternoon to put a few extra smiles on the map before leaving the Grampians and heading home. I wandered along the track and it felt like it was thinking about pouring down. Thankfully the rains held off until I was home. It was a lovely walk along here - lots of roos and emus in the field this afternoon. A quick find at GZ. TFTC Duntulum
Find No. 3617. Found at 2.45pm.
A trip to Halls Gap so we could ride our bicycles up Mount William to the car park. A total of 10ks all up some very steep hills. FUF009 came with us for support along with Geodog Penny.
After our ride up Mount William and back down we then rode back to Bellfield. We had a picnic lunch nearby in a nice quiet spot opposite the caravan park. With plenty of time to spare we then thought we would find a few close by caches that we haven't got.
This is our third one along here to get before heading for home. Walking along the track we seen kangaroos and emus but no deer today. An easy find as there was only one hollow log around the area. Now it's off to do our last one for the day in Halls Gap.

Traveling between Ballarat and Halls Gap today. Checked into the caravan park at Halls Gap then unloaded the deadly treadly for caches around Halls Gap.
A lovely day for drive and ride.
No walking on this trail today, on the deadly treadly.
I haven't seen any deer around here (yet!)
Thanks, Robmc.

Found by The Empire + H with the fam crew!
Out and about with the fam on a sunny holiday afternoon wander along the trail. We were looking for Koalas and Echidnas but only found Kangaroos and plenty of them! Yep - plenty of Roos here! Most of them were relaxing in the shade, taking it easy as the cooler weather rolls in for the evening. Thanks for the cache Duntulum.

This is the second time the Donutholes family has escaped the hustle and bustle of Geelong and set ourselves up in Halls Gap. We just sat back, chillaxed and just enjoyed quality time together. I like to visit Halls Gap because of the geocaching, bush walks and fresh air, my wife likes to visit Halls Gap to let her hair down and chill and my children like to visit Halls Gap because of the ice cream and the zoo.
Kids have gone to bed for the night so i ducked out to collect a few smiley faces. This was a quick park and grab.
Thanks for the cache.

Found with LittleBoss2 on a beautiful day around Halls Gap. We walked and sometimes bush bashed to a lot of caches today on our way from Bendigo to here. So many amazing views today, making us feel so grateful to live in Victoria.

Stopped here with the kids enroute home after a big walk to Boronia.
Cousin cracked it as he didn't get to find it first, so we agreed for one more.

The regional lockdown zone restrictions are over and the super storm has passed, ready for a Cup long weekend in the Grampians. Woohoo finally free to camp and cache!
This spot is incredible to view the plethora of kangaroos and emus and each day of the weekend I have stopped here to watch the graceful animals enjoying the field.
This is my 2000th cache find and thank you for the magnificent location to celebrate it at.

Too pleasant an evening to sit in the van so off for a walk and I see another cache just up the track. As i approach I see where the cache gets its name, must be a hundred or more kangaroos in the paddock! I get a bit closer and a small crowd has stopped to admire them as well. Luckily the cache hide was a bit of a walk away from them so i could find and sign in relative solitude. Thx Duntulum for showing us what is obviously a local highlight!

Plenty of Roos and about 10 emus. Co-ords. Just what we like about geocaching - discovering local nooks not always off the main drag. Lucky us to be free enough to travel far from the NE after what seems donkeys years. After a day hiking, zoomed out on the bike to pick up a few caches this evening. How we love the Gramps! TFTC and the FUN
The time of day we were here the paddock was free of any kangaroos but later in the day it was kangaroo and emu heaven. There was no one around as hubby made himself look like he belonged where he was. SL TFTC
How amazing is this place!
On my way out of Halls Gap back to camp. Stop over to collect this one as I am travelling.

A quick find at GZ and, as expected with a new cache, all in good condition. TFTC Duntulum
We have been walking past this spot all week on holiday at Halls Gap. Just as we were leaving, cast our eye over the caches in the area and what do you know? A NEW ONE! Our second only FTF. Thanks for the cache dantalum. A real highlight and a great way to end a fantastic week in the Grampians.
