The weather forecast for today wasn't that great but I thought I'd go for a drive and see what happened. As it turned out it was foggy on the way up but dry all morning. But it was cold.I spent a while wandering around and then I spotted the obvious.TFTC
Clever hide. Starting to get the gist of Geopenta... can't wait for the next ones on the trail!
Found at 11:17 AM in the company of The Morris.Yep - we were very gentle and found the cache - nice work! Thanks to Geopenta
We are travelling with Pprass and have set up in Greenoch where we will camp for a few days.Today we jumped on the bikes to do the NTA trail and really enjoyed the variety of caches and the work that has gone into them.Another very nice hide. Thanks for contributing to a fun day out Geopenta
Finally can take this one off the list. Found with superman_22,giselle_13 and Connor_2011
Found while passing through the towns of Truro, Nuriootpa, Tanunda and Lyndoch searching for a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache Geopenta!
Our last full day here in the area since our arrival on the 28 Feb. What a blast and thank you South Australia. The caches we found today on the path from Nurioopta to Angaston were a fitting way to end our time here. We certainly saved some of the best for last. Good to leave an area on a high note.Arrived at GZ, found the cache and started the fiddle to find the log. A fav for sure. Well done Geopenta !!!!#9366

Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.Back in the Barossa with the sole intention of completing the NTA Trail series Having heard so many good stories and seeing the fave points racking up, it was time to see what all this chatter was about for ourselves.Well needless to say it lived up to all they hype and theres a heap of fave points heading your way! After lunch we still had a few hours up our sleeve so we headed off to Eden Valley and Springton.TFTC Geopenta

After a couple of weekends with terrible weather I was getting cabin fever and needed to get my dose of fresh air. With an event on tonight in Gawler and with no rain forecast for the afternoon I thought it be great to do the highly acclaimed NTA trail.
A Facebook call for company on the walk was answered by the Jolly Jenny and together we completed the trail which has to be on everybody’s must do list!
After the buzz of the first cache we continued on full of expectation on what to find next. Cache 2 was pretty good as well, but this was a type of hide I’d encountered before and had even used myself in one of my caches. The logbook was swiftly signed and onwards we went.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 37. Mid North section of SA trip Day 8. Port Pirie area Day 3 and travel to Nuriootpa via Lochiel and Balaklava. Before I headed off from Port Pirie, I went for a short loop around to the east of town to get a final few caches. Once On the way, I made a point of stopping at some of the small towns to squeeze in a cache. Once I had arrived at Nuriootpa and set up the van, I took myself on the Barossa Rail Trail with the scooter for ten interesting caches, although it did begin with a DNF.
The first one I tried was the only one I could not find today. I even got a hint later on and had another look to no avail.
Thanks.

DNF did not find this one, looked pretty easy reading through the ‘comments’ Maybe it has been stollen?

On way home from my niece’s wedding from the weekend. Last day today travelling from Meningie to Jamestown, which included a some adventure labs on the way. Tftc
This little series of caches has been recommended to us by some local cacher friends so we made a start on it today.
Only managed a few before time constraints called us away but we had a delightful walk along this great trail in beautiful Spring weather. We’ll be back for some more
A favourite point of course…..many thanks Geopenta

#19388. Day 18 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. Sadly, our last day in the Barossa based at Tanunda, before heading to Tailem Bend tomorrow. With the weather looking very dicy we once again thought that caching by car was the way to go. We headed to Nooriootpa and did some trads and an AdLab or two before calling it quits when the rain arrived.
Another great hide we spotted as we arrived. Favourite point for the execution of it. Really liked the way the trail crossing the road is made to look like railway line. A nice detail.
Thanks Geopenta

Day eighteen of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
The weather really could not make its mind up today, but it held off long enough for us to get our caching done. A couple of AdLabs and a pile of short walks made up our caching today. Our last day in the Barossa.
The weather was looking decidedly iffy at this time so we thought we would just try as sampler of the NTA series, and finish them off another time.
I have seen these containers used before but the paint job is a great idea.
Thanks, Robmc.

Out on another chilly morning with iluvtrekking gathering finds before our departure from the Barossa on Sunday. Geo-hubby's did the ride in reverse from Angaston to Nuri. All hides were found - some easier and straight forward, others more challenging but all enjoyed and appreciated. Thanks Geopenta
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
Mr richlink and Mr iluvtrekking set off from Anguston just after lunch with dark clouds looming and an icy head wind. They arrived back at the caravan park just after 4pm. They were tested at every turn but enjoyed every minute. Thank you Geopenta for the variety of hides along the trail. Some hard some not so hard but all challinging. Have a fave point for each.

Title makes sense! First day in SA after plans seemed to be always sabotaged by you know what and border closures. Great caches in SA I hear with Fab days to come at this rate. Out on trusty treadles aka my MTB to find a few before the sun goes down. Well constructed too. TFTC AND THE FUN geopenta.
We enjoyed a great day away from home, enjoying the surroundings. watcing some wildlife and finding some smileys

Today is sunny but cool, great day for a drive. I’ve come to Nuriootpa to sample some of the many caches on offer there.
Parked here to access #3, the letterbox, so thought I’d finish off with this one. Always nice to see something a bit different.
TFTC and series Geopenta, Illbe back for more for sure.

Out today with the geo pup and thought I would make a dent in Nuri, spooted this very clever cache as I was about to head home a definite fave for me.
This was a great trail with some very well made and constructed hides, fav point to all of them, throughly enjoyed the 1 hour ride along the trail despite 2 caches needing a PAF.
This morning I decided to head up to the Barossa for a few hours to find the new batch of caches in the area over the last 6 months. With completing the NTA series and a few others 23 caches were found.
Thanks for the cache

Another neat cache on this surprising trail. I have parked at the bottom and am pedalling uphill with nice tail wind. Great caches. A glorious day out.

Thanks for the cache Geopenta. I found this one maybe 10m from where GZ wanted me. A quick grab once I read the clue. Cache is in great condition, nicely done. I have a couple of these myself, just waiting the right location.
Nothing like Lustre in Astro's world. This shone some light on the things to come.
Thanks to Geopenta and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. The 7 day lockdown has now made the multi-cache calendar impossible with two missed days in lockdown [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
LOCKDOWN HAS FINISHED. Time to get out and about with Befuddled members Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats in search of caches. The Nuriootpa to Angaston Trail was the target today. [^] But will we get soaked. [?]
So far - so good and we are still dry but the wind is icy. [^] A quick find here we were able to quickly guess where to find the log this time. Another clever hide.
***Thanks Geopenta for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

After the week long lockdown was over the mob of befuddled animals could once more set out on the usual Wednesday wander. Meeting the Starfish at the usual meeting place in Nuriootpa the trio set off in the cold wet weather to claim a few finds of the newer published hides since out last visit to the area. Amongst a couple of others the main aim was to tartet the NTA series which are all deserving of a favourite point for the effort put into the construction.
We were fortunate enough to avoid the heavy showers that prevailed on the day.

Thank you for the cache Geopenta, found 28/07/2021, 11:47:00 AM

The end of lockdown. Three Geo animals decided to meet and brave the elements and Go caching.
A Rat, an Adder and a Starfish, Devised a plan to attack this series.
A quick search,
Hmm that looks like a cache.
A quick inspection of the object, yes that was the cache.
Log retrieved, stamped individually by each geo animal.
Delicately put the cache back together.
Then return the cache to it's spot.
A fave point from the SA Sewer Rats, for the hide. Tftc
Parked the goemobile and walked the short distance to GZ .

A day off from work and a catch up with Mattycat to check out a few caches in the Barossa, with a mixed bag of weather we managed to dodge most of the showers, after a break we ventured back to rail trail adventures starting this time at the begining, following the trail down we arrived at our next challenge and after a short seach the hide was revealled

Had been wondering where it would be worth taking the bike to for a bit of a ride when I noticed this new series come out but was too busy with other things to come out straight away or even the next day. Finally this morning had the bike loaded up and headed out this way. There were still some unlogged so was hoping for some FTFs and decided to do in reverse. After a DNF at #14 got the bike ready and headed off and soon got the other reward for a FTF hunter, meeting other cachers out on the trail. After a nice chat it was realised that nearly all FTFs were gone but as that wasn't the main aim, merely a possible bonus, that wasn't a problem. Ended up seeing them twice more on the trail and sharing a couple of hunts. Even scored a very satisfying FTF as last for the day so all in all it ended up being a very nice day caching with a bit of exercise, maybe a touch cool but no rain at all.
This was the tenth of twelve found from this excellent fourteen cache series. Another one spotted before getting off the bike.
It is definitely not a power trail but is definitely one of the best small series I've ever done. Many thanks to Geopenta for the time and thought put into these caches that added greatly to my enjoyment. My apologizes for the cut and paste style logs, your caches definitely deserve better but writing logs is not my strong point.

Just when I was wondering how to get a {FTF} for June, along comes this nice series!
With the work day ending , and storm clouds approaching, this little trail was tempting indeed.
Had previously been a few caches along here, but now a good reason to walk or ride.
But with the other aim of a cache a day... thought best to leave a few for later days
A nice little cache here, and surprisingly one loosely along a style I have waiting in my shed!!!
Thanks for making my Monday a little brighter and thanks for the cache Geopenta

Do stay safe when caching.
Watch for snakes, random cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only ones you share and pass on
2020 turned into 2020won, and 2020too is on the way! 2020free should see us through
Still important to observe social distancing when possible, (150 nano caches apart should do it)
Still important to wash your hands (always has been really [:o)]
Still very important to look after each other and take precautions & get checked out for even the tiniest sniffle or cough, or unexpected headache! [8)] [B)]
Still even more important to get some fresh air and exercise while we can, so get out and cache the country!
Thanks so much to all those placing caches out and about away from the city crowds,
keeps our game safe and interesting
