We are on a caravanning trip around Australia seeing the sights and finding a few caches along the way. We are staying at friends place and decided to stay an extra night, so we had an extra day to fill in. So we decided to get the bikes out and ride a bit of this trail. Such a great trail. And some great caches along it aswell. Handed out quite a few favourites today. Thanks everyone for placing these caches. We lucked on this one pretty fast. Nice camo.Have awarded a fav point. TFTC
This one has alluded us for the moment. Will keep going down the trail and come back to it.
Yeah baby return trip fresh eyes and there it was TFTC what an awesome CICHE maker. Last one for the day.
We are travelling with Pprass and have set up in Greenoch where we will camp for a few days.Today we jumped on the bikes to do the NTA trail and really enjoyed the variety of caches and the work that has gone into them. Thanks for contributing to a fun day out Geopenta
Found at 11:29 AM in the company of The Morris.Well we sort of knew where to look and after a few moment pulled out the nicely concealed "container" - nice work! Thanks to Geopenta
Found while passing through the towns of Truro, Nuriootpa, Tanunda and Lyndoch searching for a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache Geopenta!
Found by The Boofs while out on a walk TFTC . I had a rough idea of what to look for. However, you still had to find it!!!
Our last full day here in the area since our arrival on the 28 Feb. What a blast and thank you South Australia. The caches we found today on the path from Nurioopta to Angaston were a fitting way to end our time here. We certainly saved some of the best for last. Good to leave an area on a high note.Arrived at GZ, found the cache with another set of eyes and no muggles about. A fav for sure. Well done Geopenta !!!!#9381
Brilliant hide along the Nuriootpa to Angaston section of the Barossa Bike Trail.TNLNSLTFTCTTFNBeaker DGS
Maintenance completed, cache container upgraded to be slightly larger. Will replace in the next few weeks when back in Barossa. Cheers.
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Taking a walk along this lovely trail. Yep, its another goodie! Very nicely crafted.Log is full but we managed to squeeze TB & PDG along the edge. Tftc
Ocw the Bebes to clear this trail today. Some really great caches getting plenty of favourite points. Tftc
Can't remember if this was one of the ingenious ones, but I did note the log is full.
Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.Back in the Barossa with the sole intention of completing the NTA Trail series Having heard so many good stories and seeing the fave points racking up, it was time to see what all this chatter was about for ourselves.Well needless to say it lived up to all they hype and theres a heap of fave points heading your way! After lunch we still had a few hours up our sleeve so we headed off to Eden Valley and Springton.TFTC Geopenta

1 travelliinbee and I decided to finish this trail today. Sneaky one found after a couple minutes. Another great hide. Another favourite. TFTC
Tricky, very tricky. It took us a little while, but we were able to put our hand on this one eventually.

After a couple of weekends with terrible weather I was getting cabin fever and needed to get my dose of fresh air. With an event on tonight in Gawler and with no rain forecast for the afternoon I thought it been great to do the highly acclaimed NTA trail.
A Facebook call for company on the walk was answered by the Jolly Jenny and together we completed the trail which has to be on everybody’s must do list!
This cache took a bit longer to locate, but the sharp eyes of Jolly0 saw something out of the ordinary which luckily for us turned out to be a cache. Nice work!

Found it
The call came in yesterday from OZGrumpy if I wanted to join on a day caching in the Barossa.
I suggested as part of the trip we should do the NTA trail, we had both found one, and I’d DNF’d the one at the end.
What can I say except, awesome, not just this one, but all of them. If you haven’t done this trail you should put it to the top of your list, you’ll have to think outside of the box to get them. No mint tins in sight!!
This one had us for a while and then I found this devious hide.
Stamped as The Brown Family aka “the coloured mint tin by the sea people”

A day trip with friends in the Barossa area. Nice to be out and about enjoying a spot of caching, and time with friends. All caches in good condition unless stated otherwise.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 37. Mid North section of SA trip Day 8. Port Pirie area Day 3 and travel to Nuriootpa via Lochiel and Balaklava. Before I headed off from Port Pirie, I went for a short loop around to the east of town to get a final few caches. Once On the way, I made a point of stopping at some of the small towns to squeeze in a cache. Once I had arrived at Nuriootpa and set up the van, I took myself on the Barossa Rail Trail with the scooter for ten interesting caches, although it did begin with a DNF.
This series was a great collection of innovative and interesting caches scattered along a trail that was getting a bit of use by walkers and riders. All but the first went smoothly, even the ones with extra challenges.
Thanks for the cache Geopenta

The keen eyes of the geowife spotted this one from the track, sure enough it was the cache! Another great camo and hide!
Found with our friend Opnurse11. Log needs replacing, full. Sorry we didn't have any that size. Thanks Geopenta.
We enjoyed a day driving around the Barossa, finding some well thought-out caches
Thanks for the great finds
Thanks for the great finds
This little series of caches has been recommended to us by some local cacher friends so we made a start on it today.
Only managed a few before time constraints called us away but we had a delightful walk along this great trail in beautiful Spring weather. We’ll be back for some more
This one took a few minutes to locate but Mr sylken spotted itand the log was soon signed.
Many thanks for placing another ‘favourite point’ cache Geopenta

Day eighteen of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
The weather really could not make its mind up today, but it held off long enough for us to get our caching done. A couple of AdLabs and a pile of short walks made up our caching today. Our last day in the Barossa.
We were having a heap of trouble with deep Oxalis over the last few day, and this spot was no different. It covers everything with layer of green.
Took a while before we eventually located the hide.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19393. Day 18 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. Sadly, our last day in the Barossa based at Tanunda, before heading to Tailem Bend tomorrow. With the weather looking very dicy we once again thought that caching by car was the way to go. We headed to Nooriootpa and did some trads and an AdLab or two before calling it quits when the rain arrived.
Damned oxalis. This stuff is not a cacher's friend. We have stumbled through it over the past couple of days. This hide took the longest to find but glad we did after walking to get it. Favourite.
Thanks Geopenta

Out on another chilly morning with iluvtrekking gathering finds before our departure from the Barossa on Sunday. Geo-hubby's did the ride in reverse from Angaston to Nuri. All hides were found - some easier and straight forward, others more challenging but all enjoyed and appreciated. Thanks Geopenta
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
Mr richlink and Mr iluvtrekking set off from Anguston just after lunch with dark clouds looming and an icy head wind. They arrived back at the caravan park just after 4pm. They were tested at every turn but enjoyed every minute. Thank you Geopenta for the variety of hides along the trail. Some hard some not so hard but all challinging. Have a fave point for each.

OMG. I spent AGES looking for this one. Froze my fingers off. Didn’t help that it was about 7 metres away from where my phone said it should be. Walked away and then thought, Just one more look. Think it was luck more than anything but I had an idea from previous logs. Great cache. Thanks
Approached this with curiosity and trepidation! But Bingo bango the geosenses had a hunch, the planets aligned and the cache was soon in hand. What an evil bewdy. A fave for the cheeky construction! First day in SA after plans seemed to be always sabotaged by you know what and border closures. Great caches in SA I hear with Fab days to come at this rate. Out on trusty treadles aka my MTB to find a few before the sun goes down. TFTC AND THE FUN
Too clever for us today. Many newly cut branches. Not sure if that makes a difference. Will try again. Thanks for the hunt
Heading out today to test our new E-Bikes, so of course we made a B-line for this series.. Had a good look around GZ and after a few minutes of searching I considered a PAF...Then I tried to get into the CO's head based on previous finds and thats when I spotted what I thought might be it..Turned out correct! That is seriosly sneaky!! and another Fav Point..Crikey if we keep going like this we are going to run out of points!! Its so good to see a young cacher putting so much effort into their hides and putting out quality hides, not just mint tins. sadly we are out of time so the rest of the series will have to wait for another day. TFTC
Cache is all good to go, added some glue so the container shouldn’t be loose. Left existing log scroll inside as its on 3/4 full. Cheers.
Temporarily disabling for some maintenance. Will get onto this as soon as we can. Cheers
TFTC Avery good hide thanks for bringing us this way I give afavourite point for a great chase out and about with geo wife LynSteNet

WOW! That took us a while to find this one in the end we PAF which helped as we now knew what we were looking for but didn’t know where & suddenly there it was & how brilliantly hidden & the thought that went in to this cache has earned it a favourite point from me

This was a great trail with some very well made and constructed hides, fav point to all of them, throughly enjoyed the 1 hour ride along the trail despite 2 caches needing a PAF.
This morning I decided to head up to the Barossa for a few hours to find the new batch of caches in the area over the last 6 months. With completing the NTA series and a few others 23 caches were found.

Found by Mary and David at 14:40. About to give up. So much tree lopping here fairly recently. As a last resort we tried a PAF. Ah! Another FP. Well done. Our thanks to Geopenta.
Came out to explore a small part of the rail trail this afternoon. Some awesome hides along here. This could be to a tricky find, but Red’s cache sonar locked on quickly to reveal the cache. Another Fav point for a creative hide! TFTC!
Came to do a few of the rail trail today. Interesting walk. Thanks Geopenta.

I was very off set here for a while. I looked for a geotrail for a hint but alas none. Now, the next lucky player will have a 1000 to follow. This one had me fooled though I guessed from the start what it might be. I was correct in the end, but the end took about 15 minutes!
Thanks to Geopenta and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
A look on the way up the trail without luck. But stopped on the way back down the trail and was much more successful. Another nice hide. TFTC
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. The 7 day lockdown has now made the multi-cache calendar impossible with two missed days in lockdown [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
LOCKDOWN HAS FINISHED. Time to get out and about with Befuddled members Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats in search of caches. The Nuriootpa to Angaston Trail was the target today. [^] But will we get soaked. [?]
This one took quick a bit or searching. upon arrival i looked around and concentrated where most of the carpet of sour sobs have been trodden down. [^] Still took a lot of time but finally struck gold and found this very cleverly hidden cache. Another favourite point from me. [:X]

The end of lockdown. Three Geo animals decided to meet and brave the elements and Go caching.
A Rat, an Adder and a Starfish, Devised a plan to attack this series.
We arrived at GZ, A the search began.
The Starfish came up trumps with the find.
Log retrieved, stamped individually by each geo animal.
Delicately put the cache back together.
Then return the cache to it's spot.
A fave point from the SA Sewer Rats, for the hide. Tftc
After the week long lockdown was over the mob of befuddled animals could once more set out on the usual Wednesday wander. Meeting the Starfish at the usual meeting place in Nuriootpa the trio set off in the cold wet weather to claim a few finds of the newer published hides since out last visit to the area. Amongst a couple of others the main aim was to tartet the NTA series which are all deserving of a favourite point for the effort put into the construction.
We were fortunate enough to avoid the heavy showers that prevailed on the day.
Thank you for the cache Geopenta, found 28/07/2021, 12:07:00 PM

Found with AussieM&M and Gizmos Gang !! We did the 520m walk in from the nearest road access and eventually found the clever hide. Then, being at the furtherest point from the car, the heavens opened up .............. we got "damp" A favourite for the adventure!!
Another of this wonderful series targeted today. It was freezing as we walked towards this cache. By the time we arrived at GZ the skies were very cloudy. This one was very tricky and hard to find. It is very cleverly hidden and reminded Mary of another cache in the series. Definitely have to give this one a favourite point too, simplicity in its best form.

A D rating of 4.5 huh? This was going to take some time......
The app was saying we were still 6m away when we made the find. Thankfully we don't hold much stock in its accuracy otherwise we'd have been over the fence!
Excellent camo.

A day off from work and a catch up with Mattycat to check out a few caches in the Barossa, with a mixed bag of weather we managed to dodge most of the showers, after a break we ventured back to rail trail adventures starting this time at the begining, following the trail down we arrived at our next challenge found after noticing something odd and the cache was revealled, adding another fav point

Had been wondering where it would be worth taking the bike to for a bit of a ride when I noticed this new series come out but was too busy with other things to come out straight away or even the next day. Finally this morning had the bike loaded up and headed out this way. There were still some unlogged so was hoping for some FTFs and decided to do in reverse. After a DNF at #14 got the bike ready and headed off and soon got the other reward for a FTF hunter, meeting other cachers out on the trail. After a nice chat it was realised that nearly all FTFs were gone but as that wasn't the main aim, merely a possible bonus, that wasn't a problem. Ended up seeing them twice more on the trail and sharing a couple of hunts. Even scored a very satisfying FTF as last for the day so all in all it ended up being a very nice day caching with a bit of exercise, maybe a touch cool but no rain at all.
This was the eighth of twelve found from this excellent fourteen cache series. A tricky hide but with 3 sets of eyes looking it wasn't too long before it was spotted.
It is definitely not a power trail but is definitely one of the best small series I've ever done. Many thanks to Geopenta for the time and thought put into these caches that added greatly to my enjoyment. My apologizes for the cut and paste style logs, your caches definitely deserve better but writing logs is not my strong point.

Enjoyed the walk along the rail trail between Angaston and Nuriootpa with goingplaces2. There was some sun, some rain and always a cold wind today.
We found all but one of the caches along this part of the trail.
Connected here with ttrogg after an earlier meeting at another cache location and hunted together till it was found. Log was signed, job done. Fav for this one. TFTC.

Came along with ilook4geo to do some caching along some of the many trails around this area. We did different types today including traditional, multi, letter box and puzzle. It was a good day and we found almost all the caches we looked for, with some interesting hides included. We were happy to add both our names to each log and replace each container as it had been found.
It was here that we met up again with ttrogg, whom we had met earlier in the day at another cache. We all joined in the hunt for this one until something a little bit odd was noticed. This was another well hidden cache.
Thank you to Geopenta for placing this cache. Another favourite point added for the construction involved.

Well that took a lil while to find. Sneaky!
Not saying anymore, except my GPSr said GZ was 4-5m away...
Dropped my *FTF* geocoin through.
