We are on a caravanning trip around Australia seeing the sights and finding a few caches along the way. We are staying at friends place and decided to stay an extra night, so we had an extra day to fill in. So we decided to get the bikes out and ride a bit of this trail. Such a great trail. And some great caches along it aswell. Handed out quite a few favourites today. Thanks everyone for placing these caches.Have found one like this before but didn't originally think of it. It was on my second search of the area that I found the cache. Fav point given.TFTC

We are travelling with Pprass and have set up in Greenoch where we will camp for a few days.Today we jumped on the bikes to do the NTA trail and really enjoyed the variety of caches and the work that has gone into them.Another great hide that had us baffled for moment until Pprass had a second look. Thanks for contributing to a fun day out Geopenta

Our last full day here in the area since our arrival on the 28 Feb. What a blast and thank you South Australia. The caches we found today on the path from Nurioopta to Angaston were a fitting way to end our time here. We certainly saved some of the best for last. Good to leave an area on a high note.Arrived at GZ, found the cache and started the fiddle to find the log. A fav for sure. Well done Geopenta !!!!#9380

Another great cache here but found it with part of the camo broken in half
Enjoying the caches so far and look forward to completing this series one day.

After a couple of weekends with terrible weather I was getting cabin fever and needed to get my dose of fresh air. With an event on tonight in Gawler and with no rain forecast for the afternoon I thought it be great to do the highly acclaimed NTA trail.

A Facebook call for company on the walk was answered by the Jolly Jenny and together we completed the trail which has to be on everybody’s must do list!

Getting closer to Angaston now and daylight was starting to fade. Another great hidden in plane sight cache. Ironically exactly the type of hide I am planning for my next cache. Great work once again!

I love the creativity and effort that has been put into these hides on this trail.

Found it

The call came in yesterday from OZGrumpy if I wanted to join on a day caching in the Barossa.

I suggested as part of the trip we should do the NTA trail, we had both found one, and I’d DNF’d the one at the end.

What can I say except, awesome, not just this one, but all of them. If you haven’t done this trail you should put it to the top of your list, you’ll have to think outside of the box to get them. No mint tins in sight!!

Southern Autumn adventure Day 39. Mid North section of SA trip Day 10. Barossa Valley Day 2. The direction for today was Angaston. I was distracted by the markets first and then made it to Angaston. I started with a few caches around town and then hit the bike trail on my scooter to finish the caches back to where I left off the other day. The rest of the day was spent caching between Angaston, Tanunda and Nuriootpa, picking up what I was able to until I hit my daily count for this trip.

I set out along the trail to finish the caches back to where I got up to the other day. I am impressed by the variety and challenge that has been provided in this series of caches along the old tracks.

Thanks for the cache Geopenta

The first day in the Barossa with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
Dragged out the deadly treadlies and rode the rail trail Nuriootpa to Angaston, and then after lunch looked at a few puzzles around Nuriootpa.
Overcast but no rain, so a nice day for caching.

Very nicely constructed. Saw it from the track and had to laugh.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19800. Day 7 of our holiday in SA and today Robmc, the geo-doggies and I rode the Bike Trail between Nuriootpa and Angaston and return and then rode around town collecting a few solved puzzles in the afternoon. A long and rather frustrating day seeking elusive caches that did not want to be fouind. Managed to only find 17 with 2 DNF's.

Great hide here. Loved this. Favourite poiint.

Thanks Geopenta

Out on another chilly morning with iluvtrekking gathering finds before our departure from the Barossa on Sunday. Geo-hubby's did the ride in reverse from Angaston to Nuri. All hides were found - some easier and straight forward, others more challenging but all enjoyed and appreciated. Thanks Geopenta

Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.

Mr richlink and Mr iluvtrekking set off from Anguston just after lunch with dark clouds looming and an icy head wind. They arrived back at the caravan park just after 4pm. They were tested at every turn but enjoyed every minute. Thank you Geopenta for the variety of hides along the trail. Some hard some not so hard but all challinging. Have a fave point for each.

My wife and I moved the car up to Kent St and then walked down for another slab of caches. Our original plan was to go back to our hotel, have a swim and a cocktail, have a short nap and then follow that up with another swim and cocktail. However, these caches were just so good that we decided to stay on and do a few more.

In fact we were only going to do a couple of caches but then decided it would only be us losing out if we didn’t do them all. We walked out to the furtherest one away and was rewarded for another cracking hide. Favourite point awarded. tftc

This was a great trail with some very well made and constructed hides, fav point to all of them, throughly enjoyed the 1 hour ride along the trail despite 2 caches needing a PAF.

This morning I decided to head up to the Barossa for a few hours to find the new batch of caches in the area over the last 6 months. With completing the NTA series and a few others 23 caches were found.

Thanks for the cache

The popping of the pressure safety valves on the pneumatics nearby just never stops. Glad I am not trying to sleep here on night shift. Love this sort of in your face hide.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. The 7 day lockdown has now made the multi-cache calendar impossible with two missed days in lockdown [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. Cool That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]

LOCKDOWN HAS FINISHED. Cool Time to get out and about with Befuddled members Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats in search of caches. The Nuriootpa to Angaston Trail was the target today. [^] But will we get soaked. [?]

We looked here, we looked there and came back to the same spot. It HAS to be that. Surprised Wait a minute. You got us. We had to smack ourselves in the forehead when we finally twigged as to how to get at the cache. Red FaceRed FaceRed FaceSmile You are used to them now so another one isn't going to matter. [:X][:X]

AND we made it without getting wet. Razz 10 out of 14 caches got favourite points from me and that doesn't happen. Well done Geopenta for the series which should feature in the Awards next year.

***Thanks Geopenta for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

The end of lock down. Three Geo animals decided to meet and brave the elements and Go caching.

A Rat, an Adder and a Starfish, Devised a plan to attack this series.
We arrived at GZ, You have to like spotting the cache from the track.
We soon had the cache in hand.
This was our last cache for the day.
Log retrieved, stamped individually by each geo animal.
Replaced the the cache back together.
Then return the cache to it's spot.
A fave point from the SA Sewer Rats, for the hide. Tftc

After the week long lockdown was over the mob of befuddled animals could once more set out on the usual Wednesday wander. Meeting the Starfish at the usual meeting place in Nuriootpa the trio set off in the cold wet weather to claim a few finds of the newer published hides since out last visit to the area. Amongst a couple of others the main aim was to tartet the NTA series which are all deserving of a favourite point for the effort put into the construction.

We were fortunate enough to avoid the heavy showers that prevailed on the day.

Thank you for the cache Geopenta, found 28/07/2021, 4:02:00 PM

Had been wondering where it would be worth taking the bike to for a bit of a ride when I noticed this new series come out but was too busy with other things to come out straight away or even the next day. Finally this morning had the bike loaded up and headed out this way. There were still some unlogged so was hoping for some FTFs and decided to do in reverse. After a DNF at #14 got the bike ready and headed off and soon got the other reward for a FTF hunter, meeting other cachers out on the trail. After a nice chat it was realised that nearly all FTFs were gone but as that wasn't the main aim, merely a possible bonus, that wasn't a problem. Ended up seeing them twice more on the trail and sharing a couple of hunts. Even scored a very satisfying FTF as last for the day so all in all it ended up being a very nice day caching with a bit of exercise, maybe a touch cool but no rain at all.
This was the fourth of twelve found from this excellent fourteen cache series. Thos one was nice and easy to spot.
It is definitely not a power trail but is definitely one of the best small series I've ever done. Many thanks to Geopenta for the time and thought put into these caches that added greatly to my enjoyment. My apologizes for the cut and paste style logs, your caches definitely deserve better but writing logs is not my strong point.

Enjoyed the walk along the rail trail between Angaston and Nuriootpa with goingplaces2. There was some sun, some rain and always a cold wind today.
We found all but one of the caches along this part of the trail.
Cache found here with a blank log for a joint (FTF) cache, log signed, job done. Added a fav for this one. TFTC.

WooHoo!! This was a joint (FTF) cache here, found along with ilook4geo. This was an interesting find with a twist but that does not deter a cacher on a (FTF) hunt.
Came along with ilook4geo to do some caching along some of the many trails around this area. We did different types today including traditional, multi, letter box and puzzle. It was a good day and we found almost all the caches we looked for, with some interesting hides included. We were happy to add both our names to each log and replace each container as it had been found. Thank you to Geopenta for placing this cache. Another favourite for the construction involved.
