Brisbane, we have now set up camp at Thornside for a few days. Visiting the area to catch up with family & also to do some caching.
Today after visiting the Runaway Bay area, we stopped to pick up a few caches close to home home.
No bike riding just the caches closer to the track,

On the way to watch my son race a triathlon. Quick detour to find this while cycling there. Log was too wet to sign so photo attached instead. TFTC
Having just climbed a “hill” in Nerang State Forest I was looking for something a little easier to tackle next…
Sometimes it’s just nice to walk straight up to a cache… the log was a little damp so I bagged it and added some silica…

Log is very wet and couldn't write on it. Tipped the water out, but on a rainy day couldn't do much to dry it out
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed south from Brisbane to attend a friend's one year birthday party celebration. Consequently, we decided to make day of our time within the Gold Coast. We spent the morning visiting Hope Island, Jabiru Island, Coombabah, and Runaway Bay, and in the process, we completed *North East Gold Coast Skatepark Tour* and *Parks around Coombabah* Adventure Labs. After having a late lunch at Southport, we had a walk around the CBD area completing the *Southport Heritage Walk - Part 2* Wherigo adventure. A sunny and warm afternoon in the end, with many people out and about enjoying picnics and time on the water.
Thankfully there was a place to pull in and park our vehicle, and we made the short jog to the logical hiding spot at GZ, where it was a quick cache find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks DominTee for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I found a parking spot pretty close to this cache and a short stroll for a quick find.

Replaced with new dry log - disappointing to see the contents all strewn everywhere, not camouflaged.
Little maintenance needed!!! Log is wet but I left a little trackable in here!!!

On a little bit of a roll with my daughters today. Dads playing cricket and we got board and decidedto check for some caches and well that got the blood pumping.....yipee!!

Quick one when we found a closer park off the road right near GZ & not in the sports centre.
Our first geocache!! Thanks for the fun! We didnt have anything to put in its place sorry xx
Wow there are some psychotic magpies here. Quick find before being swarmed replacing and escaping was somewhat harder.
Heading down the Goldie for lunch with our son & of course we just HAD to find a few caches along the way! 
We have been watching as these caches were published but haven't had the opportunity until now to head south for a forage & a rummage around.
As we approached I spotted where I thought GZ might be so we wheeled into the sports field parking lot & took a short walk.
The exercise is always good!
At GZ Mrs VC was quick to retrieve the cache.
All good here but could benefit from a new baggie as it looks like someone, in their haste, has ripped this one.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Wandered up from a visit to Southport to collect a couple of newbies. Quick park and grab and back into the Geojeep for the next one. TFTC DominTee
Have come up to find #2 so it would have been rude not to have found this one as well. As the CO said, this one is easier and was a quick find. All good with this cache tho the little bag has a hole already. Congrats to the newbies on their FTF here.
