Did the two at the waterfall and saw there was another as we were leaving Lilydale. Not sure if it was sitting where it was originally meant to be but found it. Again didnt havent a pen to write in the log but found! Thanks, Remy
We came into Lilydale to collect a parcel after enjoying a couple of glasses of sparkling at Clover Hill. Of course we had to also collect this cache. Nice quick find exactly where the hint said. TFTC Angus
This catch didnt take to long, although we did have 3 people In your group, good luck to others finding the catch
Heading home after a cancelled dog tracking trial I thought wed find a few caches. Interesting reading about lilydale. TFTC
Easter weekend camping just up the road from this cache. Walked down for coffee at the Lock Shop and nabbed this on the way back. It is a great memorial, TFTC
Checked on this one today. Found the magnet, but not the cache. It has now been replaced so it has a fresh log.

Today I was catching up to another friend near Mount Direction. We had a tasty lunch and chatted all afternoon about everything from Kalgoorlie to Beaconsfield. I then headed into Launceston to do a bit of shopping before going back to my house on wheels. Coming home I went via Lilydale to see some more country scenery and to also grab a couple of caches.A quick couple of finds , a sad reflection of so many young men who gave their lives and a smell of some colourful roses before heading down the road once again.TFTC Angus88Keep smiling
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.An interesting place to discover this cache and the history surrounding it.Thanks Angus88 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Grabbed on my way through town. Love the Anzac memorial Sl thanks for the cache.
My grandparents immigrated from the Netherlands and lived in Lilydale until their passing. My cousin now lives in their home and is raising her family here. I have fond memories of visiting when I was 8 and eating recurrents from the garden, which I'd never had before.
Nice spot and the memorial is well presented. Mr Shadow was very impressed with all the information. His grandfather and father served in the war. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely memorial park. TFTC.
OzHockeyChick shouted me a return flight to Launceston for my birthday. So grateful for this awesome gift and so very pleased to have her with me to celebrate.
We got diverted to Hobart which definitely wasn't part of our tight schedule. Once we arrived in our original destination, we picked up the car and were on our way.
When we are back in Melbourne, neither of us live very far from 'Lilydale'. Quickly located, signed and returned and we were on our way again.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

A 'Thelma & Louise' style weekend away with Geoturtle37, to celebrate her recent milestone birthday. We are flying in to Launceston on Friday afternoon, returning to Melbourne on Sunday evening. Our carefully planned itinerary includes selected LGAs, placement dates, DTs and high faves. If we manage to find them all, we can expect 186 smilies in total.
We both stepped onto the freshly painted concrete and made squeaky footsteps, while searching for the cache which we quickly found..
A lovely memorial to all the soldiers who fought for our freedom.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Angus88

Megawat60 and I have said goodbye to the West Coast and are headed North East to Scottsdale. Quick stop here and quick find thanks to good hint. TFTC!
This was an interesting place that we had never noticed before and probably wouldn't have stopped at this time if there hadn't been a cache there.
A quick find thanks to the generous clue.
We were both amused by the interesting sign adjacent to the memorial - well worth a read.
Thanks Angus88.

Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip
Day Four: Latrobe to St. Helens
Weather: perfect for geocaching.
Where I live in the Adelaide Hills also has a very German flavour to it, and so there was some interesting at this memorial here. I’m starting to think like Angus88, and put my hand straight on this one.
Thanks for the cache and the series Angus88.

After a DNF on this cache a few months ago it was good to be able to return today and turn the icon into a found one.
Don't know how we missed it last time.

Found this revised cache today. Cache was empty, I have placed a temporary log that is good for 5-6 logs. Need a new proper log
Lovely town and a great spot. Thanks for putting a cache near this interesting war memorial. Thank you for the cache from GeoMaggie and her sidekick Bonnie.
Work being done in this area. May have made missed the cash under all the new work
Found with ToolboxTas on our trip around the state.
A quick find today after refueling down the road.
Thanks for the cache Angus!

Getting away for a mountain biking trip with friends, we had planned on a holiday to Derby during 8-13/02/2022. For the most part, we spent our days MTB-ing Blue Derby (Black Stumps) trails, as well as riding Blue Tier Forest Reserve's trails, such as the upper section of Bay of Fires, Blue Tier and Atlas. There was an opportunity to find a few geocaches in Launceston before driving to Derby, and on our final day with our flight departure in the evening, we travelled back via Scottsdale and Lilydale, and visited a few spots around Launceston such as Cataract Gorge and Trevallyn Dam.
Today, with the majority of the group departing quite early back to Adelaide, it allowed a full day of heading back and checking out Launceston with our evening departure. We checked out Legerwood's awesome timber sculptures, before proceeding around Scottsdale and checking out a Bridestowe Lavender Estate. Other highlights including Tunnel's railway tunnel, and Lilydale waterfalls. After enjoying a Launceston bakery lunch, we then visited Cataract Gorge for a few hours (whilst completing *Launceston Cataract Gorge* Adventure Lab), walking along the gorge, and then proceeded to the lookout at Trevallyn Dam. Our final drive then took us to northern Launceston in Invermay, before checking out the City Park. A terrific day checking out this quiet Tasmanian city.
I had noticed a few of Angus' visits as we meandered back from Derby to Launceston, but a few of them were out of the way walks, and so I had given them a miss off my list, but this seemed like a nice opportune stop as we were driving by. A cool location with a multitude of memorial sculptures, and hence a great spot for a cache! We managed to make a quick find, before reading further on some of the history of the memorial. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Angus88 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Easy find but need to be careful, some muffles were have a outdoor party near by! TFTC!
I have driven through Lilydale quite a few times but never really noticed this memorial. It is a really lovely memorial. It looked beautiful today with all the roses out in bloom. These roses also led to a funny moment with geodog who seemed to think a rose petal on the ground was a creature from the deep sent to kill her but once ‘we’ conquered ‘our’ fear, we had a nice stroll around the memorial poles. Really glad to have stopped here. TFTC .
A wet lunch in Lilydale then when it dried up thought we’d visit this site. Log is dry and in good condition despite the weather. TFTC
With family living in town I was on my way back into Launceston today so stopped off to this spot,
I used to have a cache in the same spot but there used to be bushes here and my cache was at the base of one of them. Times have changed at this little spot but great to remember so much.
Thanks for the cache

#12673 - 5:46:00 PM; Jumped through all of the hoops and made it to Tasmania for a couple of weeks of R&R with family. Today we headed to Hillwood to the Berry Farm, then on to Exeter and Launceston for some retail therapy, before heading back to base through Lilydale. Stopped off for some caches along the way, including this one. Last stop for the trip and a nice quick find after reaching GZ. Another Angus cache to the found list! TFTC Angus88
